Do I have to book thru AAA to get the AAA discount, or do I just tell CRO that I'm an AAA member & show my card at check-in?

if you want a room only AAA discount, you can call 407 wdisney and book it yourself. you will need your AAA number when calling and will have to present the card at check in.
i work at the res center so this is a fact!:smooth:

I was just curious about when they started to ask for the AAA number? I made room only ressies a couple of months ago and they didn't ask for mine.
Just curious!

They don't ask for your number on the phone when you make your reservation - but when you check in they ask for your card.

IMO the AAA discount is pretty good if you are going during value season. It's 20% for value and mod. resorts.

They are supposed to ask for your AAA number. I have worked at the res center for 3 years and was trained that way. If they didn't, they are either not doing their job or forgot. The discount is between 10-20% based on season and resort.
:)

I booked a AAA room about two weeks ago. I called once and they said they couldn't book it without the number (I didn't have the card with me). When I called back later that afternoon after going home and getting my AAA card, another (and much nicer) CM took the reservation without the number. So much for digging the card out!

It seems silly to require it over the phone if you're going to check it at the resort. My understanding is that if you don't have the card at check-in, they simply charge rack rate.

Sparkles...
I am in Canada- our equivalent of AAA is CAA.. are all the people taking ressies aware of this? I understand that CAA is accept as being the same as AAA?? I hate to book and then have problems when checking in--do they note it somehow on the reservation that is CAA instead of AAA??
Clear as mud hey!

The AAA and CAA rates are identical because its the same discount code. No worries. :)

We booked our room using my mother-in-law's AAA card. She has the same last name, but different first name from those in our party. What are the chances this will be accepted at check-in?
