AAA parking pass?

Does anyone know if you can only get the AAA parking pass if you book through them? I am a AAA member, but I booked through Disney.

You either have to book a package w/them or buy your tickets there. If you buy your tickets there, the cashier will just hand you a parking pass w/your tickets.

They will not just give them away to any member.

So basically, if I dont book anything through them...then I get absolutely NO member benefits? That seems unfair. I just renewed my AAA because I thought it might save us some $$ on our trip...guess I'm out of luck :sad2:

AAA isn't gonna just give them out to EVERY member- the parking spaces would be full then and then there would be no point.

There's other things you can get AAA discount on, but no they aren't going to give you the same perks as someone who booked through the office.

I'm assuming you booked a room only through Disney- why don't you buy your tickets through AAA at a discount?

Did you get the AAA discount on your room? That probably pays for your membership right there.

There are other ways to use your AAA discount- some tours give AAA discount, Richard Petty driving experience, etc.

Do you have your tickets yet? I have found AAA to have the best ticket prices of anywhere.

I know our club here only get's the AAA parking pass in the documents we recieve from Disney for our clients if we booked them for them.
That's part of the perks of booking with AAA: the room discount, the AAA parking pass, the AAA Diamond Reward Card, and (New for next year!) a Disney Storytelling Experience with a character.

If you've just booked a room only, there's no harm in seeing what your local AAA travel agent might have to offer for you. (If you already have your tickets, just as for a one day base ticket to get the package extras.)

I hope this helps!

If you are heading over to Universal during your stay, you can 'show your card and save' 10% on most souvenirs and food.

It's not unfair at all. Your AAA membership provides you all sorts of discounts on many and sundry items. Just the other day I moved my car insurance to AAA saving myself $600. My mother cut her insurance in half by doing so. But people who choose not to use them as their insurance agency won't get that particular benefit of the membership. The absolute best benefit of the membership in my book is the maps and roadside service. I make sure I get up to date maps every year for the states I usually travel in or even just might travel in. The guide books are handy planning tools as well.

I would call your AAA travel agency up and find out how you can get a parking pass. If they say you have to book a package ask if buying tickets would be sufficient. Failing that if you know someone who is buying a package through them see if they can get an extra pass. That's how I got mine this year.
