Are there AAA discounts on the MYW park tickets? I am pretty sure the answer will be "No", but, I can still hope! :wave2:

I know that Sea World offers dicounted tix. Our AP's will expire during this trip, and we will not be replacing them since we are doing DL next summer, and WDW AP's are not good at DL.
I have had AP's for years , and now I am confused by the MYW plan.

Since I know I will be going back, possibly for a long weekend this Winter, I will likely purchase the 10 day, no expiration, because it seems to be the best value.

Where do I get the best price for these tix? And, Do I need to purchase the Hopper/No Expiration/Pluses at WDW or can I do this before I go? : :sunny:

Yes there are AAA discounts on Disney tickets. Usually 3-5% off. Contact your local office for the price.

I think different AAA regions sell different tickets. Ours here in NE only sell 5 day non expiring hoppers, without the plus additions. The price is about 5% less than disney. Ticket mania has good prices on all the varieties of tickets, hoppers, pluses, non expiring, any combination you want. If you go to mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter, you can even get a slightly better price at ticketmania, but will have to wait till next month to get the August newsletter.

How does Ticket mania get discounted WDW tix? I understand the AAA association, but ticket mania?????

Has anyone purchased AAA tix or Ticket mania successfully? (Hooper/No expiration) :sunny:

When we priced AAA for our tix (10 day hopper, w/expiration) they were higher then Ticketmania.

We thought our experience with Ticketmania was excellent. We had my ILs buy their tix there as well. Nothing but good things to say about them.

We booked are entire package with AAA and saved around $180.00 total for the tickets and are resort. We are going during the free dining plan promotion which was offered after I booked the trip so when I went up there to see if we could have it added on you could only get one discount so I had to tack the $180.00 back on to get the dining plan, but I thought it still was a good deal because from what I hear (this is our first trip to WDW) you can spend that much in one day on food. :rolleyes2

I don't see the great savings with ticketmania. Disney wants $818 for 7 Day Hopper for 2 adults and 2 kids. Ticketmania wants $860 tax included.

Is there a HUGE Disney tax beyond the 7% or so?

Tax rate is I believe 11.5%, and Disney charges $3 shipping, so the total from Disney would be $915.07. Buying from TicektMania would then be $55.07 cheaper, which to me is a lot of Mickey Bars! :rotfl: If you sign up for the Mousesavers newletter and wait until August to buy your tickets, you will save a little bit more.

TicketMania gets such good prices because they buy in bulk from WDW. I have bought from them before w/ no problems.

Every once while I get tickets from ibidusa.c they have them for charities.

I get the mousesavers newsletter already..Why will they be less $ in August? And why do I need to wait for the newsletter? :sunny:

I got the mousesavers newsletter and linked to ticketmania... the prices don't seem much cheaper then buying direct from disney (including tax & shipping). I was expecting a pretty big price difference from what I have read on these boards. Am I missing something?

We also have AAA, would that give me more of a discount?

I am going to call AAA when they open tomorow, and I'll post my findings here :sunny: TinknPooh.

So confused!

Now I am comparing the price to renew one AP, so we will get the AP room disount for our Winter trip vs. getting the ten day, MYW, Hopper, No Expiration

rholloman: If you bought these tickets direct from disney, the total would be $874.18 (6.5% sales tax & $3.00 shipping). The total from ticketmania would be $860, saving you $14.18. As others have suggested, if you sign up for the mousesavers newsletter, the total cost of your tickets would come down to $848.
