We recently joined AAA (surprisingly enough - not just for our upcoming WDW vacation :) ) and when I called CRO to see about applying our AAA membership to our room only reservation, the CM I was speaking with informed me that nothing was available. Is this typical? We are traveling during early February, well before the Presidents Day holiday, so it can't be a capacity issue can it? The CM did encourage me to keep trying back as she did think that something would probably open up. Or would I be better off just using my local AAA TA instead of CRO? I'm sorry if these are relatively elementary questions, it's just that I am new to this whole world of discounts/codes so whatever help and guidance you experts out there can provide me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Could it be that the AAA discounts haven't opened up for that time frame yet? I would try both CRO again and your local AAA office to see what answers you get. You will often get different answers from different CM's so it pays to call back. The only problem with actually booking with your local AAA office is that they then "own" your reservation and any changes have to be made through them and they get your travel documents and have to forward those to you, etc. But at least you would know if you can get the discount. I just noticed there's a thread titled "AAA or Disney Discount were it looks like the person got/is able to get a AAA discount for early Feb. 08. so it certainly would be worth a few phone calls.

I would go through AAA. I got a quote for February...it's only saving me $150 or so, but that's better than nothing!

I would try AAA again. We also got a quote for Feb, with the AAA discount for value, mod. and deluxe. Have not decided which we are going with, but the discount is there. Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I will definitely give AAA a call and see if we can save anything that way. Thanks again!
