AAA lounge at MK?

When you present your voucher, it entitles each member listed to one free soft drink.

If you have a voucher you can get one free drink but you have to drink it there. You can't take it out of the lounge. However I believe if you are a AAA member you can go in there and just rest. They have a tv in there and it is air conditioned. They also have brochures.

Can ANY AAA member go in there and just rest, or do you have to have booked your trip through AAA? And where is the AAA lounge exactly?

It's my understanding that you have to have a voucher to get entry into the AAA lounge.

It's in the Space Mountain vicinity.

Not to be confused with the AAA branch office that's on Main Street. It's not a full fledged office, but there's one there.

You will need a voucher that comes with a pkg. booked thru AAA. I didn't know there was a lounge in MK! I only knew of the one in Epcot - there's a sign for it located on the fence between Buzz and Carousel of Progress. The voucher gets you in and you get a cold soft drink and a place to set in a/c and get away from the crowds and the heat for a spell.

Yeah i booked the package...I haven't gotten my final packet yet just a summary brochure which says there is a lounge at MK but doesn't mention Epcot. Didn't say anything about a voucher from I read but I could be wrong. I guess I'll find out when my packet comes.

We booked the AAA package once...received our voucher went to MK, waited for the big rain that always comes during the summer afternoon. Thought it would be a good idea to duck into the lounge during the storm. Well, the storm came and the lounge was.....CLOSED! :umbrella: It remained that way for the rest of our trip. No sign or explaination. This was during peak vacation times too.

I'm going in 2 weeks and received a voucher to use (one time use only during this trip) that will allow us to have a free soda. It did say something about if it is full then you may have to come back later type of thing. I received it when I got my final documents and tags for my trip I booked through AAA.

Wouldn't that be Tomorrowland? That's MK.

When we went in 2003 with out an AAA package, we went into the lounge to cool off and some water from the fountian, and restroom break. it was nice and quiet

In 2005 we did an AAA package, and we used a voucher, and had soft drinks, which have to stay in the lounge, along with the above.
we also took some info on disneyland and trips/packages for CA.

I just happen to have this conversation with my AAA TA...she said the only way AAA members can use the lounge in the MK is to have purchased the package through AAA which in turns give you the voucher you need for admission and for the free soda. So, that means now that we are DVC member and won't book through AAA again no free soda and no "exclusive" place to dodge the rain...Blast it all!!!

We were at the MK on July 4th 2004 and it was great to go to the lounge. We did have the voucher from AAA. We got the free soda but the best part was being able to sit down on a couch in the air conditioning. After about 15 minutes we were quite cold because the air conditioning was set so low. They also have a water cooler there and that was all you could drink. The lady working there let us fill our water bottles with it. (I think that might have been because we were the only ones there)
