AAA/DVC water park tickets

We are coming home in Oct and plan to do Typhoon Lagon while we are there. Does anyone know if the AAA or DVC is the same or which one is better?

I could be wrong but I don't believe AAA offers a discount on stand-alone water park tickets. I think they only offer a discount if you add the water park option onto a base ticket. The DVC discount is available for a water park only ticket. DVC discount is $4 off adult admission & $3 off children.
