Aaa Discounts

WE ARE GOING IN SEPTEMBER FOR 7 NIGHTS. WE ARE STAYING AT THE MOVIE RESORT. WOULD IT BE WORTH IT TO GET AAA FOR THE DISCOUNTS OR NOT. I AM NOT REAL SURE OF THERE DISCOUNTS. THANKS!

When we went in September our AAA discount was 20%. We had three rooms booked so it definitely was worth it. The discount is different with the different time periods. Regular time is 15% and I believe peak time is only 10%. I'm pretty sure September is during value time. Sometimes they ask you for your AAA ID number when you book. {this happened once to me} Most of the time they just told me to have it at check in.

If you book a package with AAA, you get the diamond parking pass, a pass to go to the AAA place in MK for a soda, and a diamond card which will give you some discounts. I would price AAA with the discount codes at mousesavers.com. If the price is the same, go with AAA and get the few little perks.

We definitely did better waiting for "codes" to come out. Mousesavers saved us $$ as well.

If you plan to go to US/IOA...definitely take your AAA card with you for discounts on meals.

I have had triple A for years and I don't know about restaurant discounts with the card. To what are you referring?

Don't forget that other perks to having AAA are discounted movie theatre tickets thru them, other theme park discount tics, not just Disney, trip tiks (mapped out routes for you), free travelers checks and peace of mind knowing that no matter where you are in the US and even in a rental, if you break down or run out of gas anytime time of day, AAA will come to your aid.

Definitely worth the membership fee for us.

icy-dog - at Universal and Islands of Adventure, showing a AAA card will save you about 5% on your restaurant bill and I think in some shops for merchandise as well. Look for the AAA logo at the register, on the door, etc...
