AAA discounts?

I just joined AAA and was wondering what type of discounts (for Disney) you've received by being a AAA member? How do I go about finding AAA (Disney) discounts I'm eligible for? The agent who "signed" me told me I could save a LOT at Disney through AAA...is this true? (not the reason I joined by the way, but a definate perk!)

You can save between 10 and 20 percent on rooms at the disney hotels. It depends on the time of year and the resort you go to. If you want a room only reservation, you can call disney directly and ask them about the AAA room only rate. If you want a package and get the discount on the room portion of the package then you need to go through a AAA travel agent.
Through AAA you can also get discounts on tickets, this is if you want to get a room only reservation and buy the tickets separately. Can't get a package with discounted room and discounted tickets.

For me to join AAA, cost $74... For my upcoming trip (which we just decided to take), it will save me $130 on a Value, or $200 on a mod... So if I sign up for AAA, including that cost, I save $55 or $125 on room only. My wife works for the Govt, and gets a pretty nice discount on 10day Park Hopper and Water park tickets, so I dont mind doing room only with AAA discounts... Whats really going to bug me is if they come out with a Room Only discount which would have been equal to the AAA discount

With the AAA card you can get discounts at many places other than Disney. Many other hotels, eyeglasses, car service, movie tickets, many many other things. Go to their web site and see what is offered. Would seem very easy to get your dues back with a little trying.

I saved $200.00 (Room only) at POR for our upcoming trip this July, also I called our local AAA office and got 7-day base for $211.50 (A) and $175.75 (C) or 10-day base for $217.25 (A) and $181.50 (C).
Also, you get a discount at World of Disney in DTD, (I believe is 10%).

We already have our June trip booked, and I'm so scared we won't get a discount code. So, I'm considering joining AAA (and, unlike shyjade, I'd be doing it JUST because of the Disney perks!!!)

I just wonder if there's anymore ASMo AAA rooms left for June. Would a TA share this info w/ me before I joined? The budget's tight & I don't need to spend an extra $74 on AAA if it's not going to do me any good. TIA.

I joined AAA and the next day saved $63 on my 3 night stay at POP...cost me $55 to join.

I was given a quote today using AAA and it is saving me $143.00 on a 7 nite stay at POR - it cost $44 to join AAA so I think it is well worth the money. I was told I can reserve up to 3 rooms with my AAA discount.

Neither did I!!! I went ahead and bought the 10-Day Basic and saved just a little more than $40, Good deal!!

I called AAA and tried booking 2 rooms with tickets and DDP for December 9-16 (7 nights) at either POP or CSR and it saved me $0. Nada. I was quoted rack rates. Needless to say, I didn't book through AAA.

Call Disney & get a quote for AAA room only rates. Then get your tickets through Undercovertourist.com. I booked a 6 night stay in June at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and ordered 7 day park hopper w/ water park options through Undercover. Together I saved about $400.

I joined AAA last week only because they were getting me a Disney discount. I paid $54 to join and saved $150 at a value. We're going in June. I think it's worth it!! Hopefully we can save at other places too. Anyone know of any other places to save other than your hotel??

Also, the % is off the entire pkg before taxes.
