AAA discounts?

My DF and I are planning on joining AAA for our trip, at 1st it was only so we'd have it just in case something happened, as we are driving to FL. But, since reading all the codes attempts, I'm wondering if it's worth it to use the AAA discount if it's available for our date. Does anyone know, do you give them your AAA number when you make your ressie or do you wait and show them the card at checkin like other hotels?

Depends on the CM, some ask for the number when you make the reservation, some don't. It is wise to have it because I have had CM's not reserve a room for me because I didn't have my number on hand with me at the time.

They may or may not ask for your membership number when you make your reservations. When I made my AAA reservations for next June, I was not asked for my membership number, but several people have said that they were asked for it.

If I join online, does anyone know if they give you your membership number right then or will I have to wait for it to come in the mail?
