I was at World of Disney in DD in April and the clerk asked to see my AAA/CAA card(I'm Canadian) and gave us a 10% discount on our purchases. Do you know of any other discounts throughout WDW that will give us the same 10% discount? Any Restaurants? We are heading back to Orlando in Sept. Thanks, Sher

i wasn't aware that world of disney offered discounts to AAA members. i sure could've used that discount our last trip. Now that i know, I'll definitely be using it when we go in December!

I think the discounts listed only apply if you actually booked your vacation through AAA. I don't think you get these discounts if you just use your AAA card to get special rates on rooms you have booked yourself.....and I don't think just showing your AAA card gets you the discounts. I think you have to have a special discount card provided by AAA.

I was reading in another thread about this same thing (although I can't find it now) and the CMs were being very specific about seeing the discount card, and not just the AAA card to give the discount. Just showing the AAA card no longer works.

Ok...just checked the AAA website....it is the AAA Vacations Diamond Card that gets you the discounts. You only get the card if you book a full package through AAA.

Do you have to have both cards to get the discount? Or just the Diamond card? The AAA TA told me I needed my AAA card to get the discounts. She did not say anything about the diamond card. But the diamond card came in my packet. :confused3

Well I called World of Disney just to clear things up. You only get the discount with the AAA Diamond card. This Policy changed TWO weeks ago. Up until that time all you had to do was show your membership card. Too Bad!

Thanks for the update Michellynn!

Do the discounts apply to onsite guest that purchase a package? Or can anyone just whip out their AAA card to save $$$$?
:goodvibes

You get one AAA Diamond Card per package booked. Normally they ask for the AAA Diamond Card and your room key to get the discount. I'd bring your AAA card just in case, but I've never been asked for it.
Personally, I look forward to the Earl of Sandwich discount every year. That's always our first lunch on property!
