Where exactly is this in each park?

Does anyone have a map?

Thanks

I don't have a map, but the AAA Diamond parking is usually right up front with the handicapped parking. It's about as close as you can get to the gates. Pretty helpful at most parks. Only thing is is that you are close enough to walk to the gates instead of taking & waiting for the trams. So it is either extra walking or extra time waiting!!

How do you get this ? I am a AAA member.

You have to buy your Disney tickets (at least one of them anyway) from AAA. You can call your local office to see if you can "talk them out of one", but it didn't work for me. ;)

I'm pretty sure you have to buy a AAA package to get the parking, not the tickets only. It's not as close as you think though. It's close at some parks, but you are really better off with the tram picking you up and driving you to the entrance because you still have to hike to get from the parking spaces. At MGM the last spot in each row is AAA....so you could be 1/4 a mile from the park, but you still have to get the tram. At MK, we were exhausted just walking to the car. The MK lot was way past where the Disney busses pick up passengers. So you know how tired you are and how loudly you groan when your bus is in the last slot??? It's worse! :teeth:

It may vary by AAA office, but I called mine last Friday and was told that I could either book a package or buy tickets and get the pass.

I vaguely rememberseeing AAA parking last time I was at WDW. Was pleasantly surprised when I bought my tickets at my local AAA office and were given a AAA parking pass..... AND the news that since we're staying at the Swan we can park for FREE. yippee!

Kenny: We used the AAA/Diamond parking pass during our 2005 trip and LOVED IT! Sorry I do not have a map(way too high-tech for me) but what I recall is:

MK & EPCOT: both lots are across from the dog kennels. Obviously you are not as close at MK because of the monorail or ferry ride, but we loved walking out of the park and stepping into our car(rather than cramming ourselves into the tram ride). At Epcot you are literally steps away from the main entrance.

AK: again very close to the main entrance...in fact I think the walk was longer from the bus depot for resort guests(which I hiked when we went w/out a rental car in March '06!!).

MGM: perhaps this has changed since we stayed(see the previous post) but we were just on the other side of the resort guest bus depot when we were there. Again, you can see the entrance, and the walk was short.

We are going again in March and I booked thru AAA specifically for the parking pass(crazy, I know!!) If you can get one, do it!! :thumbsup2

PS Not only do you park close, but just the sheer joy of following a different color line(painted on the pavement) than the rest of the cars entering the lots was complete bliss. Goodbye rest of the world...we get to park waaaay up here. My, aren't we special!!!(Just kidding :teeth: don't come after me!)

maybe it's me but i found it to be a little tricky on our first attempt to use the pass w/ re: to the location....first of all, we had bought a ticket online w/ will-call pick-up & were able to print the parking pass out online (a nice surprise for us). i read the fine print & thought that i was all set.

on our first day of use at AK, i asked the attendant at the booth where they collect money how to get to AAA diamond parking.....she looked at our print out & said that it was just a voucher & that i needed to exchange it at a AAA office for a pass so the voucher was "no good" & that i couldn't use it. WHAT?!

so we left that booth not really knowing where to go as the question wasn't answered. we got to a fork in the road in the parking lot & saw the handicapped parking sign but didn't see the AAA sign but that's not to say it wasn't there....we just didn't see it. SO we had to go back to the beginning. on our way out of the parking lot, we asked an attendant where "AAA parking" was? he said there's no AAA parking. WHAT?! at this point my DH thinks i'm crazy & we have another car w/ the same pass following us. i showed him the pass & he said, oh "diamond parking" then told me to start over from the booth so back down the highway we went.

now we're headed in the right direction, we get to the handicapped/AAA parking area at 8:40 a.m., no attendant to be found so we park & were happy w/ our space. in the other 3 parks, we had no problems but still thought that it was easy to miss the parking area b/c if you wait until you see an attendant then you may be in the wrong lane or have gone passed it, etc.

SO my advice is to follow the handicapped parking signs which we thought were more visible than the AAA diamond parking signs & you'll find it.
