So you must use a AAA agent for the discount? The ones in our town weren't too friendly or knowledgeable so I was hoping to just tell the Disney agent my AAA number or use the AAA code online.
No, you don't have to use a AAA agent. I booked my September trip in June by calling CRO. I gave the CM my dates and resorts, and asked about the AAA discounts. I got the discount, no problem. My written confirmation noted that I would need to show my membership card at check-in. They didn't even ask for my number. I realize there are a limited number of rooms available with AAA discount, but that's going to be true whether you use an agent or not, I would think.
If you are going to book room only, then you can call CRO & get your AAA rate.
If you want a package (such as dining) you MUST go through a AAA agent to get your discount.
leahjade: I feel for you. I know more about Disney than my local AAA office so I am bummed that I can't book this myself because we are interested in the deluxe dining package.
