AAA card - can I get one?

Hi

Can anyone tell me if by joining the AA in the UK whether we can get an AAA card for American? Do they belong to the same company? Sorry if the question seems a bit dumb!!

Yes you can get an AAA card by joining the AA. I have had one for a few years and use it to get good hotel rates on the internet and I've also used it to get a better rate on Disney property too.

Incidentally, they are totally non-impressive pieces of card and are not personalised in any way. Also, I have yet to be asked to produce this card when I have checked in although I always have it to hand just in case.

The card also got all of my party reduced admission to a southern mansion in the Charleston area.

Hi,

We also did this for our last trip. Just give the AA Enquiries a ring and they will send you an information pack with a few card AAA cards and some information/maps.

Pootle did Disney honor the AAA "show your card and save" card?
I have asked this question many times and no one could give me an answer, even e-mailed AAA and Disney direct.
If so what discount did you get and how did you book your room?

Mo, I'm sorry it's taken a while for this reply - our system has been 'down' so only saw your question recently.

I used the AAA card when I booked Coronado Springs resort last December. The quoted rate for 2 nights (and what I paid) was a total, including tax, of $236 which she told me was a good rate. I must admit I did not take the trouble to find out the regular rate but it sounded to me like there was a discount, and again, I was told I had to produce my AAA card at check in.
