Wow those are alot of letters and slashes...
I am somewhat confused and hoping someone here can help me.

I just booked a sep 2013 room and dining plan today, its concidered a package, but because i have an AP I do not need to buy tickets I did not have any sort of discount applied at this time. I know AP rates may come out next year (but it may be after my 45 day window) and so i was thinking of trying to get the AAA discount (yes i already have AAA). can i get the AAA discount on the room only portion of my package, or because i booked through the AP website, am i stuck?
Prices seemed to increase more than i was hoping- and i dont even want to talk about the dining increase :scared: any help would be appreciated! hope i asked this right.

Would you be better off getting a AAA room only reservation and paying for dining out of pocket? Then if AP rates come out closer to your date you could change to the package with dining.

I am not at all familiar with packages as we usually have APs and like the flexibility of the room only reservations. Someone with more info may be able to chime in.

We thought of that but we enjoy just paying everything up front and only having to pay for tips, alcohol and souvenirs! So that's why we stick with dining. I guess I can always change things. I'll admit I was surprised by the increase in pricing this year. But that may because i haven't done a big trip through Disney in a while. Oh well I get to be there so who cares!

I guess AP rates for this year just came out, which means they should come out in advance of my 44 day window so i can always try to add the AP discount then, or cancel and rebook with it. BUt Free dining will be beyond the booking window then, so i wont really be able to figure out the best option for me. Still not sure if I can apply AAA to an AP booking? But i guess nobody seems to know the answer

You cannot have a AAA room discount with an AP ticketless package with dining, if that's what you are asking.

If you purchase an AP ticketless package with paid dining, you must have either an AP rate room or a full priced (rack rate) room.

Free dining packages require that you pay rack rate for your room and buy a minimum 2 day ticket. APs do not enter into free dining offers at all.
