Hi,

I know there are some restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin where we will be staying(got a great AAA rate!) but can you get discounts anyplace else with it? What about the Disney Visa? Can you still get the free picture with it?

I read on here you can get a % off your order at Earl of Sandwich if you show your AAA card. Our TA said there is still a character spot at Epcot with the free photo for Disney Visa rewards members.

Thanks! I love Earl of Sandwich. I am going to look into the discounts on the AAA site. Hopefully they will have more!:goodvibes

You definitely can still get the free picture with the Disney Visa.

We also did the Behind the Seeds tour in Epcot and the Disney Visa gives you 15% off, which was a nice surprise!

Let me know what you find! I could not find anything on their site last time I looked. The TA said that when we get our package from AAA, it has all sorts of discounts in it. I think you get some kind of card you can use?

OK here is what I found although I didn't find this on AAA site. This was on Mousesavers.com site. I can't believe how many times I have been to EOS and Giardelli's and never knew of the discount!

AAA / CAA
A few restaurants offer discounts for members of the American Automobile Association (AAA) or the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA).

Some of the discounts below may be intended only for those who have the AAA Vacations Diamond Card, which you get if you book your vacation through AAA. However, there seems to be some confusion about this, and sometimes people have used a regular AAA card at the same location. I am honestly not sure which card is actually required for the discounts below, as I've had mixed experiences myself. It may depend on the restaurant employee and how well they understand the discount program. So if you have only a regular AAA card, give it a try, but if the restaurant employees say no, accept that they may be correct.

Most of the Swan and Dolphin hotel restaurants will give you a 20% discount on food only (not beverages). The Swan/Dolphin restaurants that do NOT offer this discount include Il Mulino and Shula's.

Downtown Disney restaurants:

15% discount at Earl of Sandwich
10%-15% discount at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain
Most Landry's restaurants (including Landry's Seafood House, Oceanaire Seafood Room and The Crab House, but NOT Rainforest Cafe, Yak & Yeti or T-REX) offer a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages for AAA members. Valid for up to six people, including AAA member, per AAA membership card. Offer excludes tax, tip and alcoholic beverages. Not valid with any other offer, promotion, or discount. Thanks to Marlene for info.

You can also get 15% off a Sea Raycer rental (used to be called Water Mice) with your AAA card. You don't need anything special, just your AAA card. We just did this a couple of weeks ago - we rented ours at the Poly marina.

Not sure if they still have the AAA lounge in Tomorrow Land, but when I did it (years ago), it was lovely, an oasis of calm & cool! We were supposed to get a free cold soda with each of our vouchers, but the staff thought it looked a little cheap ... so they put it in a beautiful cooling bag. It's the best cooling bag I've ever used, too. We stayed only for a few minutes, but it was very pleasant & a nice little perk. Private rest room, too, if I remember correctly.

I used to be a travel agent for a very good, reputable, huge agency, so I'm pretty knowledgeable about how they work, but I prefer AAA for Disney.

This is good to know. I am trying to come up with different things to do with DS 15 as he's been to the parks many times and the last few times we went were more for the atmosphere rather than how many rides we can get on that day! :lmao:
