Well anxiously awaiting rates for 2009, AAA rates. At least to start with.;) So checked today, and was told: try early august. :wizard:

I'm waiting too!! I remember the rates coming out at the beginning of August last year when I booked. So maybe it's the same time each year. It's always nicer to wait with a group!:dance3:

I'm waiting, but I don't hold out much hope there will be any discounts for the Polynesian GVC--there weren't last year. We are definitely considering *gasp* staying elsewhere for part of our stay since the Polynesian Club Level has not been offering any type of discounts on GVC. Our thoughts are that we may stay a few days at our favorite resort, but the bulk of our business will be going to a resort offering discounts. . .at least that is the prevailing plan at this point.

Waiting. May be stupid question...BUT when AAA does come out with there rates do they ever release with "specials" :confused3 we are looking to go in Jan. I have never booked this early in advance.

No, I don't remember any specials. :confused3 Just there usual discounts. We are booking March and next aug. and I was getting worried that I had not booked them yet.

Another one here awaiting the release of 2009 AAA-rates. That is, to start with. I'm hoping they'll offer bounceback when we go to the world in december, which ofcourse would be an even better rate than AAA. But AAA sure beats the rack rate I've got now. ;)

Anyone know if the AAA ticket prices that they show on their website includes tax? Thanks.

What kind of savings does AAA usually offer? Is it worth joining AAA for? We are going to be living in the US for 7 months and I'd been tossing around the idea of renewing my long expired AAA membership for a year while we're there. Would a Disney discount make it worth it?

Also, does that mean you then book directly through AAA?

You can book through AAA if you desire. You can also just call disney and ask for the AAA rate.

As for the discount: anyones guess. :confused3 Could change. You can always find out the discount 1st and then join. Disney has been know to recently ask for your AAA #, but in the past they did not. They told you, you will need the card to check in. I think I would wait and then decide. Especially if there are not alot of other benefits you would use.

Depending on the season, the AAA room only discount is usually between 5% and 20% off the rack rate. If you wish to book a package, you have to do it through AAA. For room only, you can call Disney.

I am considering signing up for a AAA membership for a discount on my Disney trip but I want to book a package so I guess I would have to book with AAA. How much of a discount (if anyone knows) do they offer on packages or would it be the same deal as booking with Disney directly.
