Can anyone answer this so I don't have to call AA? We're flying AA Tuesday, using Milesaaver AA awards. Dh has Gold status. On their website it says that the gold member is exempt from baggage charges, as well as any passengers flying with the gold member on an awards flight. What exactly does that mean? One bag free? Any number of bags free? Dh said his understanding is that he gets two free checked bags just for him but he wasn't sure about us. I need to know this for sure before we go. Right now I'm banking on one checked bag and 1 carry-on per person.
