A year without Disney? Who am I kidding?!(a PTR) LINK TO TR!

I got my Mousekeeping envelopes today! Thank you so much, I love them! :lovestruc I'm now tempted to go to a craft store and buy crafty things and make more envelopes so they match! Only problem is, I'd have no idea how to do the letters, or the patterns of the Mickey heads or anything...other than that, I could probably figure it out! :rotfl:

Thank you so much again! :goodvibes :cool1:

The envelopes are adorable! I can't wait to see them in person! :goodvibes Love the craft area, too!

:) Did you get them yet? I hope so!

You're very welcome! I'm glad you liked them! :) I was running out of creative ideas b/c I had to make so many. :lmao:

I actually used my Cricut machine to make them. It punches out all of the letters and shapes on cardstock. After a while it get's tedious as you have to remove every shape/letter from the adhesive mat and then put glue on the back and glue it down. For some I used stickers I got from various craft stores. I'm sure you could make them look great without the Cricut. Michaels/JoAnn Fabrics/Hobby Lobby has everything you need. Get some cute Disney stickers, some letter stickers and a package of colored envelopes. :)

Got mine today too!! I love them! Thank you so much Rachael! :goodvibes

 Yay! You're welcome. I tried to give you ones that weren't really girly so your boys would like them. :)

Greg and I have been home from our short trip to Mexico for just about a week and are settled back into normal routine. However, we leave in just a little over 2 weeks to go to Disney World! :) I do have to say that our trip to Mexico was amazing. The resort was fantastic, the food was wonderful, and we got to swim with dolphins. I'll try to remember to share some pictures later this week. For now, I have a Disney related update for you guys! :)

I need to make a confession. I. love. Disney. Food. Sure, there are things I’ve tried that I don’t particularly enjoy much or that I don’t understand the hype of. I love that we can go on vacation to one location and eat anything from popcorn and soft pretzels to sushi and filet mignon. The following list is just a few of my favorite eats in my favorite place!

Boma’s Breakfast Buffet: Banana Bread and Goat Cheese & Chive Eggs
Ohana’s Bread Pudding
Aloha Isle Dole Whip
Boulangerie Patisserie: Chocolate Croissant & Sacristan
Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar
Starring Rolls Iced Coffee
(The others are just restaurants, I can’t particularly choose a specific favorite item but we definitely enjoyed our meals!)
Contempo Café
Grand Floridian Café Breakfast
San Angel Inn

This isn’t everything and even if you asked me I couldn’t list everything that I like to eat while in WDW, I’m always discovering new favorites!

What are some of the things that you love to eat in WDW?

/
Oh my goodness, I have so many favorites! Definitely Mickey head bars, the bread pudding at 'Ohana, Napoleans from the Boulangerie, the Paradilla at La Hacienda, egg croissants from the MSB, I could go on and on!

I love lists like this! :cool1: A lot of your favorites are my favorites too-the scrambled eggs from Boma, Dole Whips, bread pudding from 'Ohana! I can't wait to try GFC for breakfast, it sounds like it's gonna be awesome!

OMG our trips are so close, how excited are you? :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

I made an ADR at La Hacienda for one night just in case we felt like doing something different than what I have planned. The menu sounds great! DH and I could probably eat Mexican every single night and be happy.

We can almost do the single digit dance!!! :)

GFC breakfast was so simple yet so delicious. I can't even tell you what made me like it so much, it was just really good food!

I decided today to do a bit more research and planning for MNSSHP. Boy, am I glad I did! I imagine myself now not having planned aside from knowing what time Hallowishes and the Boo-to-you Parade is and leaving very dissatisfied. I don’t know how we are going to have time to fit it all in! I had to take dinner out because there just isn’t room in the schedule. Not to worry we’ll eat before and I know we’ll find time for a snack (or two).

The first thing we’ll do is lineup for the 7 Dwarves. I was reading that unless you want to spend over an hour of your party time waiting in line, get there BEFORE the party starts. The plan is to get in line no later than 615pm. That’ll probably the longest we wait in line for anything the entire trip! Any suggestion on what we can do to pass the time? Does anyone have any fun word games? I’m serious!

As soon as we say goodbye to the Snow White’s little buddies we’ll head toward Fantasy Land and into Liberty Square. Why you ask? I would love to get a picture with the Cinderella Carriage in the background. I’m anticipating a line for that to be non-existent. Hopefully there will be a photopass photographer there so DH and I can take a picture together.

We’ll then continue walking to the hub for the Villians Mix & Mingle. Although I’m sure the show is going to be great, I’m really going for the photo ops. I’d love to get a picture with Maleficent and hopefully the Queen of Hearts.
Greg’s favorite Disney movie is Aladdin and I read there’s a chance to get a photo with Abu and/or Genie, so we’ll head toward Adventureland to the Magic Carpet area to get in line for a picture with the characters from Aladdin. I really hope this line isn’t longer than 30 minutes. The amount of time we’ll be spending waiting in line to take a picture with the characters is going to be too much but when will we get a chance to take photos with these characters again? (Aside from going to another MNSSHP and that’s just not something I think I want to do.)

We will make our way toward Main Street after saying “Hello!” to Aladdin and friends so we can see Mickey and Minnie all decked out in their costumes! Mickey and Minnie don’t appear to be very popular during this party so we shouldn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes. I’m hoping they’ll “comment” on Greg and I’s semi-matching t-shirts.

As soon as we are finished saying “Cheese!” with the Big Cheese himself we’ll get nice and cozy (read: too close) right next to our BFF’s (read: complete strangers) and watch Hallowishes, a fireworks show that I hope lives up to the hype it seems to be receiving!

I want to watch the parade from a different location that we normally do (on Main Street) and head over to Frontierland. I’m hoping that by watching the 2nd parade and being further into the park will allow us to enjoy it more and get some great pictures!

We’ll head right over to the Haunted Mansion when the parade is over and hopefully be frightened by some Grim Grinning Ghosts heading out for the evening in their carriage before heading inside to see what all of the fuss about is in the mansion.

I’m guessing the actual party will be coming to a close shortly after our ride on the Haunted Mansion. Perhaps we’ll finally take what little time we have left to stand in line for some candy.

In the event that we find ourselves with some time on our hands throughout the night I’d love to try to get a picture with Pooh & Friends dressed in their costumes. Meeting Gaston would be so dreamy and I’d love to show Jafar that he doesn’t scare me!

There’s just so much to do and not nearly enough time to do it. Notice how we’ll be riding ONE attraction regardless that I read the wait times are pretty much non-existent? Hopefully we can fit in at least a couple more but I doubt it!

Which brings me to my biggest Disney planning dilemma: What do we do on our first night?

I thought we’d go to Hollywood Studios. I have a dinner ADR at Mama Melrose’s. However, it’s not one of those MUST DO dining experiences for me. The idea of Pizza Planet is actually more enticing. The main reason we were visiting DHS this night is go to Fantasmic as it fit best into the schedule we have without taking any of our “open time” later into our trip. However I saw just this past week that F! is playing every single night we’re in WDW leaving plenty of other opportunities to see it. DH will be disappointed if we don’t see it so I don’t know if we should just stick with the original plan and go to DHS this night or go to a different park.

OR

Part of me wants to go to Epcot and see if any of the Food & Wine booths are open and running. If not, I think it would be nice to finally go to La Cava del Tequila and have some appetizers and margaritas. We could then head over to France and hit up the bakery for a baguette sandwich and obviously some sweet treats!

OR

I also am feeling guilty for not starting our trip at Magic Kingdom. I’d love for our first attraction in WDW to be Philhar Magic as it fills me with Disneyness. It’d be a great way to start the trip! However, we will be at MK the next evening for MNSSHP. But we won’t have time for many attractions so I still think it’s an option. We could eat dinner at Contempo Café or Capt Cooks. It’d be nice to ride the monorail on our first night, too.

I don’t know why I’m having so much difficulty making a decision. I need your help! What would you do???

Sounds to me like you have a case of "last-minute-disney-changeitis"! It happens to all of us - all the planning is done & now you just have to wait. But that feeling creeps in & tries to make you change all of the planning you have spent so much time on...

But you make some great points! What is the date you are arriving? I looked around a bit & it seems they have a soft opening for some of the booths on the Thursday before the festival begins. But I think you are arriving before then...

I think you're right! I'm having DH bring the suitcases upstairs today so I can start focusing on packing instead of planning!

We are arriving that Thursday, the 29th. (The day before the festival officially begins.)

I think I would go with the original plan and head over to DHS on your first night. I think seeing Fantasmic would be a great way to kick off the trip! I would normally vote for going to the MK, but since you'll be there the following night for the party, I'd say wait (but then again I prefer not to go to the same park two days in a row).

I can't wait to see all of the pictures from the party! :goodvibes

Well, Greg suggested DTD for Thursday. We realized how exhausted we might be on Saturday (MNSSHP until 12am on Friday night and out the door by 8am) after a full day at Universal so I changed our plans for that night and made an ADR at Grand Floridian Cafe. I still have the ADR for Mama Melroses for Thursday in case we do end up at Hollywood Studios! I guess we'll just have to wait and see how we feel that day! :)

Woo Hoo!!!

:dancer::rockband::dancer::rockband::dancer:

Woo hoo I'm single digit dancing today too!!! :dance3: :woohoo:

I'm a few days late, but yay for single digits! I can't believe your trip is only 4 days away! :woohoo:

I swear I check the DIS everyday but I can't manage to come over here and reply for some reason! It's only 3 more days now!

I've been keeping pretty busy! Friday night we got our new car. It's a 2011 Camry and I love it! The car we traded in for it was a 2000 Maxima with over 150K miles on it, so it was time to go. My hubby's car has about 115K miles on it but he only drives it a few miles to the train station and home each day. Plus we just got a couple things repaired on his car and will be getting him new tires when we get back from Disney. :)

Saturday I worked and let me just say I was EXHAUSTED! I ran 2 food programs. One for elementary and one for teen. They made cake balls and I was running back and forth from the kitchen to the meeting room, pretty much chasing them around so I could pick up the cake crumbles stuck to their feet so they wouldn't smush into the carpet and leave a stain. (I swear I put tarp down!) I'm so glad that day is over! Only one more day of work (tomorrow) and it shouldn't be too bad. I'll do my toddler storytime as usual and that's a piece of cake. I love those little ones! :)

I also am almost finished packing. Except for those little things and electronics that need to be charged. MY KINDLE IS BROKEN! :sad2: I'm so sad. I didn't even do anything to do it. The screen just stopped working. BOO! That means I won't have it for Disney and I'll have to tote around a few books. Oh well...

I'm getting my hair done today and I want to cash in our change and redeem it for a Disney gift card. Probably only $25, but still $ is $! popcorn::

I promise the TR will be better. The plans for this trip are not set in stone as in previous trips and that makes it hard to share with you b/c they change too much!
