A year without Disney? Who am I kidding?!(a PTR) LINK TO TR!

I've missed a few updates. :sad2: But I'm all caught up now! Yay for a trip to Mexico! I am trying to convince Miguel to do some sort of quick Labor Day weekend getaway - with the way my work is going right now I could really use it. :headache: Love the MNSSHP shirts! I think they look great just the way they are! :thumbsup2 Good luck with the procedure! I know you will be fine! I would be freaking out, too though, so I understand! How sweet of you to send mousekeeping envelopes! Yay! I'm so excited! I'll PM my info to you now! :goodvibes

Good luck onTuesday!!! I'll be thinking of you! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Wow!! I get mousekeeping envelopes! :cool1: You don't know how excited I am... especially since we usually stay offsite & don't need them (at least not fancy Disney ones)! I was going to make some for our BWV trip but I'll cross it off my to do list. I only need two since we rented DVC points - we'll get a "tidy up" sometime during our stay and then I'll need one for when we check out. I'll PM you my address. We'll be leaving on 11/5.

I hope you guys have a wonderfully relaxing cruise! And Happy Birthday to Greg!

Got your PM! I love making the envelopes and I can't wait to share them with other Disney World lovers! :goodvibes

Good luck with the procedure! I'm sure it'll go fine  :flower3:

Happy birthday to your DH! :yay: I hope you guys have a good time in Mexico, too :) I've never been, so I'm jealous.

Awww, yay! Thank you! I can send you my address, but if you want, we can always meet up and you can give them to me in person :lmao: That way, you wouldn't have to pay postage. We're not going until next year anyway (long story), so we've got time :)

Ok, either way is fine. I'm sure we'll get together one of these days! :)

Good luck with the procedure, don't worry, everything will be fine! :goodvibes I'm the same way, I always think the worst thing that can happen will happen. :confused3 I feel like if they are telling me something horrible could happen, of course, it will happen to me! :scared1:

Your DH sounds like he is going to have a great birthday! There is a Toy Story shirt with the aliens that I saw around here that I want to get for Brandon, it's probably the same one you got!

I will give you my address if you want to send me some of your envelopes, but I think I need a lot, and I don't want you to go crazy making me a million of them! Just send me like 2 or 3, so they postage isn't too crazy, and I'll make the rest!

I don't mind one bit. If you want to make some, that's okay but I'm more than happy to make you enough to last your entire trip too! :)

That's okay! You're here now. You and Miguel should come to the resort we're staying at. It actually is a really nice resort for a great price. It's all inclusive, in a gated community, and you can walk to a marina to see dolphins! It's called Catalonia Riviera Maya. We got a deal on travelocity. It's a bit over $1K for airfare, trip insurance, RT transfers, and 4 nights of all inclusive in their "privleged" rooms. They have a Japanese teppanyaki place, an italian place, a steak house, a tapas restaurant, 2 buffets, and a creperie! Not to mention swim up bars, I think 5 pools, and a lagoon!

Exciting update!

Thanks to someone posting on Nermel9's PTR about open seats on their Illuminations Cruise, DH and I will now be going on one the evening of October 8! :goodvibes I'm waiting to tell Greg until his birthday on Friday. I'm going to make a "certificate" for it. We were lucky enough to do a Wishes cruise last year (being in the right place at the right time) and now this year we'll get to do an Illuminations cruise. Greg is going to be SO happy as he LOVES  fireworks. :)

Some less exciting news is that tomorrow is the BIG day. I will be getting my kidney stone crushed. People are mentioning the pain afterward but all I can worry about right now is the anesthesia. I don't like the idea of going to sleep against my own will. Fortunately I'm going first thing in the morning (615AM) and should be done by 930. On the way to the office I am going to be on the phone with Disney reservations *hopefully* booking our Sweet Sunday Food & Wine event with Buddy Valastro! :)

I also started working on the mousekeeping envelopes. (Nermel9, I still need your address!) They are looking great and I can't wait for you guys to get them! :)

I should be posting on here tomorrow as I'm pretty sure I'll have strict instructions not to get up to do anything until Wednesday morning.

The Illuminations Cruise sounds amazing!!! :thumbsup2

Good luck today! pixiedust: I hope we hear from you soon. :goodvibes

I am really looking forward to the cruise. It's something we've never done before and something we wouldn't get the chance to do if it weren't for joining another family or 2.

I made it through the procedure! DH spent 70 minutes on the phone with Disney while I was getting prepped. He was on the phone for 30 and then got disconnected by Disney. He called back and was luckily able to book it. Apparently that event sold out in 2 hours! (Sweet Sunday with Buddy Valastro!)

Hi Rachael!! I'm so glad the procedure went well. :goodvibes

And yay for booking Sweet Sunday! That was so nice of Greg to deal with all of that while worrying about you! But it was probably a good distraction for him.

My procedure yesterday went well. The doctor was about 45 minutes late b/c apparently his office double booked him at the clinic and at the center I was at. By 815 I was sleeping and by 1030 I was awake and in the recovery room. All I remember is walking into the room with about 5 people and laying on the table while they hooked me up with a bunch of things, strapped my legs to the table (so my body wouldn't move involuntarily), hooked me up to the oxygen and I focused on the ceiling as I drifted off to sleep. I didn't wake up until they moved me back to the other bed and then my doctor said "You did good." I did have some nausea b/c of the anesthesia so it's something I need to keep in mind should I ever need to be put to sleep again. I'm on rest until Friday but my pain hasn't been that bad. It's quite minimal and I've already started to pass the stones.

Okay folks. If I don't start moving on with these daily plans I'll be back from our trip before I finish sharing them! I have a plan for nearly every day of our trip but it is subject to change so you'll just have to wait for the TR to find out what we end up doing! :) So no pictures but here's the rest!

Day 8: Thursday October 6

This day we check out of the Dolphin and back into Pop! What the plan is now is to sleep in, check out of the room and have the bell services at Dolphin hold our bags until we want to head over to Pop.

This is a scheduled pool day with an early lunch at Les Chefs! :) I'm not sure that we'll keep the ADR or not but I made it just in case.

This evening we have a late ADR for California Grill. This gives us plenty of time to enjoy the pool at the Dolphin, check in to Pop and freshen up before dinner. :)

Day 9: Friday October 7
AKA Open Day, No plans.

Day 10: Saturday October 8:
Breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe and the afternoon and early evening are open. We may just end up at the pool again while I do some laundry.

This evening we will be doing an Illuminations cruise! :) Very excited!!!

Day 11: Sunday, October 9:

Sweet Sunday with Buddy Valastro!!! This is at 10am so I plan on making rope drop at 9am at Epcot so we can ride Soarin before heading over to this event.

After, we'll see if there's anything else we want to do in FW. If not, we'll probably head back to Pop for just a bit to freshen up and relax (probably do some packing) before heading over to MK. We have a dinner ADR for Ohana and then we'll head back to MK for EMH! :)

Day 12: Monday, October 10: AKA Departure Day
We'll be checking out bags in with SW, giving our carry-ons to bell services and heading out to Epcot for a couple hours of the Food & Wine fest. :)

Before I post this I just have to say that Greg LOVED the Disney pins I got him. So much so that he wore it all the way to his parent’s house last weekend so he could show them. He already put all his favorites on the lanyard and continuously mentions that he needs another lanyard! (Bless his childlike heart!)

I had the kidney stone procedure just over a week ago and I’m still having some soreness. I will say that I’m thankful as I didn’t have any extreme pain. I even passed quite a large piece. I go to the doctor next week for a follow up and I’m hoping to get a clean bill of health. It’s been nearly 3 months since this stone made its first appearance and I’m ready to be the one in charge again!

Greg and I leave for Mexico in about a week and a half and I am looking forward to the relaxation. It’s weird not to really plan this trip. I mean I researched our resort choice for quite a while but as far as daily activities we don’t plan on doing much aside from hanging out at the pool or the beach. We may walk to a marina one day for lunch but I’m not sure.

Oh! I also have more than half of the Mousekeeping envelopes done! I plan on completing them over the next week and getting them into the mail ASAP. :)

What I’m most looking forward to this trip:

Note: These are in no particular order!

Watching the video on the Magical Express

This symbolizes the official start of our Disney World vacation. I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it! I recently discovered this website www.simpledisneythings.com and I saw this posted as one of the favorite things:

I couldn’t agree more!

Walking through the World Showcase

I can’t describe what makes me enjoy this area so much. I always find something I haven’t yet discovered. Greg is especially looking forward to this area as the Food & Wine festival will be taking place. I’m really beginning to think that he is literally obsessed with this event!

Being able to walk to Epcot
I really enjoy having a very close proximity to the parks.

Feeling in the Disney spirit

I especially feel this when watching Wishes. I just feel so happy. I noticed on my past trip with my sister that I also feel the “magic” after seeing Philhar magic as well.

Food, food, and more food!

I won’t go into too much detail here as I want to do a separate post on my favorite eats. I am looking forward to all of the new places we’ll be eating at and visiting our favorites! I’m seriously having trouble figuring out where to fit all of the food in! I’ve changed our ADRs so often I can’t keep track myself!

Riding the monorail

I have to do this at least once each trip. There’s just something about it that is so Disney. Again here’s a picture to bring a smile to your face, too!

Visiting Typhoon Lagoon

I actually enjoy waterparks so I’m kind of surprised myself that we haven’t gone to either BB or TL together yet. That will change this trip, though. Although I’m not a fan on water slides I am looking forward to the wave pool and the lazy river!

Attending the Sweet Sunday Event with Buddy Valastro!

I love the Cake Boss on TLC so I am SUPER STOKED to try some of his dessert recipes and to see him in person!

Oh and one more thing before I go:

Great list! :thumbsup2 I love simpledisneythings! I'm planning to do a similar list sometime soon, once I finish up my daily plans! :thumbsup2

I never sent you my address for the mousekeeping envelopes! :scared1: Well, I'll pm it to you now, but honestly, if you don't feel like doing any, don't worry about it!

Hope everything goes ok at the doctor next week! :goodvibes

I must check out this simpledisneythings! It looks really neat. I completely agree with so many of those things, especially the monorail - and the food!

A good majority of my daily plans are not the same as they were when I initially posted them. I swear I've change my mind more times for this trip than for any other. I think, dare I say, that I have too many days to plan!

It really is awesome. I was sitting there and nearly talking to myself, well DH was next to me but he wasn't really listening, saying "That's so true!" or "I love that!" :rotfl:

Look what's going in the mail today?! (Southerntinkerbelle, Nermel9, and Dismomamy)

~*~YOUR MOUSEKEEPING ENVELOPES!!!!~*~

Oooo... I love the mousekeeping envelopes!! Don't tell me which ones are mine because I can't wait to be surprised when I open the mail next week!! :cool1:

And I love your little work area! I wish I had a spot like that in the house. Our house is tiny & we're bursting at the seams!

Congratulations!! You're going to Disney this month!!

OMG I love those Mousekeeping Envelopes! :cool1: I wish I could make stuff like that, I'd have no idea how to do that, though! :rotfl:

ME TOO!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Woo hoo! I'm very excited!!!! I hope you guys get a little extra pixie dust with the envelopes. Last year, Greg and I got roses from our mousekeeper to say "thanks"! :)

I won't I promise. I figured i'd make it a surprise! :) I am quite happy with my work area, however, I'd eventually like to hide the clutter it creates. I'd like to get some lower matching shelves and I want them to have doors or I was thinking about making curtains for them.
