Hey gang a word to the wise there were a lot of kids… And I call them kids because I'm an old fart at 37 so a kid to me is anybody between the ages of say 9 and 16.

Anyway a lot of kids, with some really cool pins running around doing some really weird trades some examples.

A young girl we met who was 14 was ready to trade a LE 1000 Surfing Mickey for a cast member balloon pin because she thought it was pretty.

The young gentleman all of about 13 with a complete California Haunted Mansion pin set willing to trade for one pin an LE 1000, yes its an LE but still be real.

Now I do not know what upset me more the fact that they wanted to trade it or that another pin trader was willing to trade them for it. We talked the young gentleman out of his trade but I just had to walk away from the first.

So please if you have kids, and they want to trade at least make them check with you before they seal the deal.

I know I sound like a preacher up here, but in my opinion if a child says to any honest PinTrader, I have to check with my parents first before I make a deal they should be perfectly okay with that. I know I would be.

As would I, and that is VERY good advice for everyone....

HAHAHA "From the mouths of the babes..."
Sounded like a sharky heyday.

But in a way, the kids' choices were wiser! It should be OK to seek pins that you like, whether they are issued in limited editions or not. And honestly, not all "pricey" and "valuable" pins are gorgeous!

The problem is that children choose with their hearts, many adults choose with greed. Something is lost when you trade seeking only LEs, even when they are not attractive.

in educating them...then that way if they still want to make the
trade them so be it, but it was a nice gesture to let them
know that what they had was very highly sought after.
