A word or two or three on the DIS 'Search' function

It has been working flawlessly and without a hitch for some time now, maybe the past two weeks or so. Seems every time I go to use it (and I use it a LOT), it is always working. That's great!!!

Used to be I would have to set my alarm for 3 AM to catch it while it was slow here on the DIS to use it, LOL, (j/k) Seriously though, it really had a tough time for quite awhile there, but whatever the tech folks have done to tweak it, GREAT!!!!! I like it.

Anybody else notice how good it has been working? And if you have shied away from it because of not usually working, give it a try. (now don't all rush at once and 'break' it, LOL )

I've noticed the same thing. Some friends and I were talking about some classic threads today and I had to go look up Dixie Amos's trip reports just to get a laugh!

I also looked up some reviews of O'Hana today with no problem and some reviews of Planet Hollywood!

I've noticed more consistency with search lately as well. The only feature I had problems with was the exact search, otherwise search seems to be normal.

Actually now that you mention it I did notice it was working just recently, but thought I'd fluked it or something as it's never been working before when I've wanted to use it.

DISers enmass will begin using Search again and it will result in the same inconsistencies.

I haven't tried it in ages! Never seemed to work for me so I gave up! Will have to try it...hey, if it stops working, don't blame me!!
