i just felt the need to share with fellow dis-ers...
while studying the boards prior to our trip i had totally decided NOT to buy a soda mug because i don't like soda, nor do i encourage my DD's to drink it. it's a special occasion item. anyway, when we got onboard the wonder... i saw these GREAT mugs everywhere and everyone had them, and i wanted one. they are identical to resort mugs and have a beverage lanyard attached for ease of carrying. well. for $15.00 i debated with myself how cool it was vs. how expensive AND worthless from the soda perspective. i really wanted a mug- couldn't decide between blue or yellow lid- but i knew i had to have one.
ANYWAY, i'm here to say DON"T DO IT just for the heck of it. only do it if you drink soda! i found a comparable insulated mug in the onboard store for $4.95. i carried it to the beverage station on deck 9 and kept ice water (tasted fine- didn't need bottled), coffee, could've even made iced tea in it.
my point is - it was convenient to have the mug to keep drinks easily available (i don't drink much alcohol or soda), but you couldv'e easily brought a mug from home or purchased the snazzy Disney Cruise Line one from the gift shop(like i did!)... don't give in to the tempatation of the $15.00 soda mug just for the mugs sake!
aahh, i feel much better that i've shared that with you.
