Hi all!

I'm just back from a week-long trip through the Southwest and to Disneyland (whoohoo!!), and we have a few new people. If I need to add you to the FE list or the roll call on the first page, would you mind posting again? There's been some activity in the past week and while I did get to quickly read it all, I didn't have time to keep everything updated. Just gimme a holler and I'll get to it this week

Posting here to cover all my bases...this has also been posted on the FB group.

FE participants: I've received a few requests to cut off the group soon (a bit earlier than originally planned). I don't think our group is large enough to merit splitting it at this point, but we are at 19 cabins - how would people feel about changing the cutoff a bit to stop at 20 or 25 cabins? I don't want to make any decisions without input, but it seems like more than a few participants might be OK with changing the deadline a bit to reduce stress.

If there are a sudden influx of new participants in the next two months we can always rearrange things...but I'm definitely OK with topping off at 20 cabins' worth of gifts. Let me know what you all think.

EDIT: I think I also got everyone who was missing from the roll call on page 1 Feel free to keep me in check!

You are correct - we have some single families split between two cabins, so technically I guess we are already over 20. The consensus, given that, is that 25 will be a good place to stop...so I'll give everyone until the end of the week for more input and then make a change on the front page.

One more heads-up: there is a poll up on our Facebook group about the possibility of booking our own private martini tasting or mixology class. If you want in, please let me know, as rumor has it we will need a minimum of 25 people to make this happen.

My family is going on the Disney Wonder cruise on 7/1/2013. My friend who has cruised before mentioned that we HAD to do the fish extender exchange and to get on the message boards. So here I am! I would love to join your website if possible to get more scoop on everything (I'm a super-newbie).

We'll be in 6039.

Those traveling are myself and hubby, our two daughters (will be a brand-new 6yrs old for one and we are setting sail on what will be my 9 yr old's birthday). My sister and her family are also going (her, her hubby, and her two kids - 7 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl). I'm sure they will want to be in on the extender thing as well, but since my sis and her hubb are super busy at work and wouldn't have time to get on this thread. Could I add them to the fish extender group? I might actually just surprise them with one/the gifts so that they don't have to worry about setting it all up.

Anyway, wanted to touch base and get the ball rolling.

Hi Rachel! Glad to have you!

I will PM you with all the info you need for the Fish Extender (FE) exchange. Since you're new enough to not be able to PM me back...You can get in touch with me over the Facebook group, as well (I just added you - BTW, we have been much, much more active over there as of late!).

I would double (or triple) check with your sister and her hubs about doing the FE, as you two would be our 24th and 25th cabins to join, which would max us out (we agreed to cap the exchange at 25 families not too long ago!). I'm thrilled to get you in under the wire, but don't want to totally overwhelm you with planning 50 (or more) gifts or include a family who's unsure about it when we're at our max size!

We have a few meetups planned - one set for sail-away day before the party as a get-to-know you, and a few others that are in the works (brunch at Palo, a PJ breakfast at involve the kids, possibly a mixology class)...so excited to have you join in the fun! Ask away, as you are lucky to have many veteran cruisers coming to Alaska with you!

Well, Well....good thing we set the cutoff at 25 when we did. As you can tell by the above posts, the FE is FULL!

I encourage everyone to double-check the website and let me know if you would like me to make any changes. Additionally, I'll copy all the info into a Google Spreadsheet that everyone can easily download, so you can sort everyone's information by stateroom (for ease of delivery). Once that's made, since we are all full, I will PM everyone personally on the DIS and have them confirm that they still want involvement in the FE. Depending on whether we get any more people interested, and how many, I can create a wait list or a second group, in case I have families who don't get back to me (it's happened before!). I'll confirm everything for sure one month before sailing, our original cutoff date.
