A WONDERful way to celebrate Independence Day! - Disney Wonder July 1, 2013

Only a few weeks from booking excursions. I've finally locked in what we're doing. Starting to debate Palo now. Laura ALWAYS wants to do the brunch and this will be the first cruise since our first cruise that we have no one scheduled to dine with us. I'd like to do Palo dinner but Laura likes the family time at dinner so I'm not sure that we'll do that.

Palo brunch and dinner are must-dos for us...I'm with your wife on brunch in particular! Grape pizza, crab legs, chicken parm.... *DROOL*

It feels so weird not having excursions to book. (We took care of everything independently.) Since we have Disneyland coming up in only four weeks, I'm hardly even concerned at this point! I'll get back from that trip and be in full on Alaska mode that next week, though, since it will be less than 7 days from booking time

What did you decide on as far as excursions, Steve?

There's an excursion with a float plane that flies over the glaciers than lands for a salmon meal. We'll do the lumberjack show and the white pass train.

Hey! we just booked our trip (Alaska 07/01/13) a couple of weeks ago, ( I know.... we should have taken care of that sooner but hubby plans on his own schedule). Anyway we are so excited, this will be our first Disney cruise and first time to Alaska. We love spending time with Disney! I just know this cruise will be perfect, as Disney always is. It's the two of us traveling, along with DGD who's 11. I'm hoping she will make some friends on the ship, to help enjoy the cruise. (We're also campers, and she always makes friends where ever we go). Checking out the shore excursions now, gosh so many to choose from and I am open to suggestions. I'd also like to be added to the facebook group if possible. Thanks!

Yay!!! Welcome!!!! It's our 2nd Disney cruise, but first time to Alaska! This group is awesome and fun, we're all gonna have a blast!

Welcome Disney Cruise Virgin! Be prepared to be addicted. When I booked our first DCL cruise I really expected it to be a one time thing. Now here I am planning cruises 7, 8 and 9. (I haven't booked no. 9 yet but will do so on this Alaskan cruise.).

I'll be there early. I'd like to move up to a verandah but the price will have to be right. Right now the online price would be >$3000 less than $1000 and I'd consider it.

I tried to PM Mackie Mouse but since I'm such a newbie, I don't have the fifteen posts limit yet. I hope I can get connected to the site for this activity, it sounds like so much fun and a great way to meet and get to know new friends.

As far as other things that are planned, we'll be getting together around 2:30 PM in the Promenade Lounge on the first day for a meet-up so we can all get to know one another for a bit before sail-away. Additionally, there are tentative plans to have a PJ breakfast in the MDR on one of our sea days, but I'm waiting until everyone has excursions and Palo plans squared away before we pick a day for that.
