A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

Howdy Tim! So did you or are you going to send your girls down for some nice warm sunshine? They deserve it. ;) How is the family doing tonight?

I'm doing a happy dance because with all my attempts of trying to persuade someone to come down, I was able to get my brother and his girlfriend to come for a few days. It's so sad my brother hasn't been down this way in 14 yrs, since we were in our teens, so everything is going to look different for him. I'm so super excited!! I'm making lists of things to do. :rotfl:

I've never done Kona but I LOVE coffee and seeing how you mentioned you didn't drink coffeee but would drink that one, I'm tempted to see if I can make us a ressie for there.

Well, I apologize, but I can no longer read your TR, or for that matter, associate with you in any way . . .

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;)
Oh no... not another Eagles fan. :sad2: There are a few of them who post here regularly.

I really should send them down there.:scratchin :lmao:

We are doing well, thanks for asking. Juliana is actually going to have a full week(3 days) of school this week, even though today she had a 90 min delay because of snow last night.

Great idea!!!! I'm sure you will have a great meal there. ::yes::

There has to be a GIANT EAGLE!!!!!:lmao::lmao:
A giant Eagle? :confused3

Ugh Tim, between you and Marv, I have about a weeks worth of updates to catch up on! You guys are killing me!

First off, look how sweet your princess girl is! This is just my opinion, but she looked like the cutest one there:
DSC00674.jpg

Looks like it got off to a great start until I read the part about her smacking her head on the table! Did you have a mini heart attack when you got to the GF and saw paramedics in the area of Mel and Juliana?? I would've! Thank God she was fine but man it must've been a tad frightening. What I love though is that it didn't stop her at all! Bump or no bump, the tea party was still on! Love how the EMT asked a 4 year old to read! Did he ask her to spell anything too while he was at it? Maybe what the square root of pi or perhaps do some long division?

Love this sweet pic too, she's got her carriage now all she needs is her prince!
DSC00700.jpg

You captured some fab shots of the GF gingerbread house as well as the lobby tree! I am determined to see it at least once! I also love that your room at GKTW was decorated for Christmas! How fun.:goodvibes And swimming in 65 degree weather? Well of course you did! My DD's do the same thing but I make my DH take them in while I snap pics if it's too cold!

It looks like you had a great time at DTD too. So, this is an appetizer?
DSC00725.jpg
DH calls them his 'dessert', I tell him he's wrong since there isn't any chocolate in beer!

Sorry to hear your little godson was sick! But I would've thought the same thing...'great, he was just playing, sitting and eating next to my daughter.' Poor thing, puke in the car is never fun, never.

Ok, the Pirate and Princess party made me weepy, again. Reading about those sweet beautiful kids getting called up by name, well it made me cry! You're 100% right though, I bet at that moment, their physical ailments were put aside and it was just pure enjoyment for them to be recognized and applauded! I'm sure it was a very moving sight, it would've brought me to tears had I been there.

The tuck-in was beyond adorable! I love this pic, it's absolutely priceless!
DSC00775.jpg
What a special perk of staying at GKTW. They really seem to make kids feel very important there don't they? It's amazing!:goodvibes

Tim, you should pat yourself on the back because these updates were off the charts with their adorable-ness! Great job!:goodvibes

Thanks for reading! You guys must be getting SUPER excited!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

I think it was the first night we ate dinner at the Gingerbread house- I saw so many little kids and all I wanted to do was give them a hug. It was an emotional night.

Are you thinking about going to this party?

They are doing well... thanks for asking.:)

We are REALLY excited.... We are thinking of definately doing the Christmas night there... I have to look at the other nights to see when everything is... What night is the pirate/princess party on?

By the way we are all HUGE Giants Fans.... I will have to post the pics I have of the girls & myself from when the Giants were in the Superbowl against the Pats... We had our faces painted!!! It was awesome... :)

Oh yeah by the way who won that Superbowl? That's right the GIANTS!!!! :lmao:

I wish someone had a picture of ME when I realized something was wrong. I was just so glad it wasn't anything more than a bump.

I think we need to make it back to WDW during Christmas again someday. It was really magical.

I usually get out of the swimming, but there was no way Melody was going in. :lmao:

Well Guinness has a chocolately taste... does that count?

Sorry to hear your little godson was sick! But I would've thought the same thing...'great, he was just playing, sitting and eating next to my daughter.' Poor thing, puke in the car is never fun, never.
Puke anywhere isn't fun. :sick::eek:

The volunteers did a great job making all the kids feel special. I wish we were back there now.

The tuck-in was beyond adorable! I love this pic, it's absolutely priceless!

Great idea!!!! I'm sure you will have a great meal there. ::yes::

More snow? Gosh, I don't think its snowed up north that much in quite a while, right?

Yes, I'm too hyper to sleep.:rotfl: Last I heard an hour ago they were in SC. I think they may be driving with a lead foot because they seem to be making some really good time. I'm looking forward to the company but not looking forward to the dog/cat fight. I've got cats, he's got a puppy. This is going to be really interesting.

Oh Molly's back. :) I hope you'll be doing a TR too Molly.

When we woke up, I realized that it was Saturday already. I swear time speeds up when you cross the Florida state line. We finished packing our park bags for our day of park hopping- MK & DHS were on the agenda- but first we had an ADR at Kona.... or so we thought.

We arrived at Kona Cafe 10 minutes before our 8:40 ADR which was really good for us. LOL We are usually arriving late for our breakfast ADRs. I went to check us in and they couldn't find my name.

'OK, no problem' I told the CM at the desk, 'Just search it using my confirmation number'

'I'm sorry sir, we cannot use the conformation number to find the reservation.'

'Ummmmm, OK?' I said.

Are you wondering the same thing I was wondering when I was standing at the desk? Why give me a confirmation number if it is worthless? What good is the number if I can't use it for anything? Do they just like making people write down a 9 digit number for fun?

I was a little annoyed, but the CM was working on his computer typing and typing and typing. After a few minutes he handed me a pager and said we would be called shortly. I had all intentions of requesting Pat, the waitress I had the previous day when I was enjoying my pressed pot but I didn't put in a request for her. I was just happy to get a seat.

We walked around the floor, checked out the gift shop, and took a picture or two of Juliana.

DSC00778.jpg

Finally, our buzzer was going off and we were seated.

See how happy the girls were to be eating here?

DSC00779.jpg

I had the same smile on while I was taking the picture. We just LOVE breakfast at Kona. We have always had a great meal here and today wasn't an exception.

Juliana had the Mickey pancakes.

DSC00780.jpg

Melody had the Tonga Toast.

DSC00782.jpg

And I opted for the BIG Kahuna.

DSC00783.jpg

Of course there was a pressed pot of 100% Kona coffee.
(my attempt at an artistic shot) LOL

DSC00784.jpg

We had a great meal and I also introduced Melody & Juliana to Pat as she was walking by our table. She asked Melody if she enjoyed her coffee the day before. I wish we had her as our waitress but the waitress we had was still good.

We paid our bill and we were out of there a little later than we wanted, but we were on our way to the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!

DSC00787.jpg

On the way to the MK, the boats for the EWP.

DSC00788.jpg

It wasn't long before we were walking through the gates and onto Main St. Melody stopped in the Emporium because we received a 20% coupon on our receipt and she had a few items in mind. I took Juliana outside for a few minutes and we met a Councilman.

DSC00790.jpg

We were only staying in the Magic Kingdom for a few hours so we had to get a move on.

Juliana missed out on seeing her favorite princess-Cinderella- during MVMCP because she fell asleep, so we went to find her in ToonTown. When we arrived, there was a very nice CM who was checking the GAC. Juliana had to show her the card and her Mickey lollipop.

DSC00791.jpg

Juliana was just a little excited.

DSC00792.jpg

Can you believe that she didn't even share one with me?

DSC00793.jpg

The CM gave us a card and told us to wait at the benches in the exit area and a CM would be there to bring us in to see the princesses shortly.

Up next...... Princesses, Fairies, and rides... oh my!

Oh Molly's back. :) I hope you'll be doing a TR too Molly.
We had a few days that were over freezing, so some of the snow melted. I think we are in the 4th snowiest winter on record.... and there is still 1 1/2 months of snow left.

Oh cool. Your bro will be there in the am!

Molly IS going to do a TR.... right Molly? popcorn::popcorn::

OMG, that Tonga toast is HUGE...........and your breakfast mister, when did you eat the next time....3 days later, wow that's a lot of FOOD!

Juliana is so cute in her princess dress....waiting for more popcorn::

The Tonga Toast was very big but Melody & I shared a bit. Our next meal wasn't till 3:30ish so I ate a hearty breakfast!

Thanks!!!! I have more to come soon... just not tonight. It's bedtime. :goodvibes

I think that was a pretty good attempt for an artist shot.

That pic of Juliana is hysterical! :lmao: It's like she's going 'Nah, nah you can't have any of this delicious lollipop'

Nope I hate the Pats... I'm a Giants fan! (don't know if that is better for you?)

You pierced a nail right through my heart. :sad1:

Glad you guys enjoyed your breakfast at Kona (and glad they were able to get you in despite not finding your ADR and not being able to look it up with your confirmation number :sad2: ). We've eaten there for dinner once, but not breakfast. It's on my list.

Welcome back Molly!!!! Now start your TR.

Okay, the whole confirmation number is weird if they can't look it up by that. And I swear I have read reports of people having the number and restaurants looking it up by that....how strange! :confused3 And I agree with you, writing down that 9 digit number, and keeping track of it, isn't exactly "fun"! Regardless, glad you got a seat!

Of course there was a pressed pot of 100% Kona coffee.

I like it! Despite just eating breakfast, it made my stomach growl. And how awesome that Pat remembered you, and the coffee for Mel, from the previous day! Impressive. :thumbsup2

This is so cute! It makes her look soooooooooo tiny and him HUGE!!

So, what did Mel buy????? :hyper:

Looking forward to reading all about the meet with Cinderella!

Nice update Tim! Some really good pictures and that breakfast looks yummy! And the waitress remembered you from the day before - That's Nice!

Cool picture of the boats from the EWP. Where were those located? I never noticed them before.

It's been smelling like Cheesey Birds in here lately. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Cheesey Birds........ :rotfl:

Same for us. We've done dinner at Kona and breakfast at Ohana, but never the Kona breakfast. Got to try some of that Tonga Toast!
Thanks... glad you were able to catch up quickly. AND we can't wait to hear ALL about your trip! popcorn:: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1
Welcome back Molly!!!! Now start your TR.
Yeah Molly, what's taking so long???:confused3 I need someone new to pick on..........., uh I mean enjoy reading about your trip! :rolleyes1

Just found your TR and I am truly enjoying it!:thumbsup2 Your daughter is adorable! I have to comment on your UCONN hat and sweatshirt! Our DD is currently a freshman in Storrs. GO HUSKIES!!:cool1: I, too, am a huge GIANTS fan and have been all my life. My DH, however, was born and raised in Philadelphia and South Jersey so he loves his Eagles.:scared1: Sundays in the fall are very interesting around here.:rotfl: You can tell who got our DS dressed on Sundays by what color his shirt is!:confused3

We are in CT (Wethersfield) too. Are you loving all this beautiful snow!?! I am looking forward to hearing about the rest of your week.popcorn::

Kelly

That Tonga Toast looks good! I luv the cinderella dress on Juliana as well!
