A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

Poor Juliana and her head bump. It's good to know though that if we get hurt (ok maybe not since we aren't kids but..) we can get helped and fast.

I just looked at the Raglan Road menu. I would go there just for the desserts lol

great update tim, love the flip flops! were are yours??:lmao: maybe after that appetizer, you probley could of been talked into wearing a pair.:lmao: :thumbsup2

I loved it follow a little get bored bounce up and down.. Her version was way better :)
LOL I liked it too. ;)

when we were in WDW in '05 Megan was almost 5 at the time....we had taken the monorail over the GF and she saw the wedding chapel and asked what it was, we told her and she said" that's where I want to get married" very seriously....the whole day everything she saw a CM she told them she was getting married to the GF....so I think we will have a WDW wedding in the future...well hopefully for not at least 15 years!
What a cute story... but an expensive story too! :lmao::lmao:

Faring well, my foul-weather friend?? How's it doing in the snow dept.?
We got 3-4 inches of snow today... it stopped around 2-3. It has been freezing drizzle ever since. It is 20 degrees here so the water is freezing on everything. Melody is leaving work in 30 min and I am a little worried for her. Tomorrow we are going to have snow & sleet changing to freezing rain. We are currently in a Ice Storm Warning. I wish it was staying all snow, it would be much easier.

Oh, they were there pretty quickly. I wish they just brought her the ice though. ;)

Both times I've eaten there I was too full to eat dessert. I am so mad about that! :lmao:

You know what... if the girls wanted me to match I would of. BUT I wouldn't have taken a picture of my feet to be posted all over the internet. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just got caught up.

Okay, your "appetizer" at Raglan Road looks so yummy! My kind of appetizer.

Glad that Juliana was okay when she bumped her head. I could imagine though that could have been freaked out when you walked in there and it looked like Disney had turned it into a four alarm emergency.

That tea party looks so cute....I may have to think about that as an option for my niece and I.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! I just caught up.... I LOVED the updates....

It looked like the girls had a BLAST at the Tea Party. I am sorry Juliana bumped her head.... but I am glad she is ok.... :)

It looked like the kids had a blast dancing.... LOVE IT!!!!

That was awesome that the people at GKTW decorated your "house"..... I can imagine how excited she was.... The breakdast cart looked cool, that is something my girls will love so I guess we will have to try that one morning.

LOVE the updates... at this rate you will be done by the time we head off to GKTW!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your family memories with us!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not the pukies! I sure hope it was just from all the eating and cha-cha sliding! ;)

Ouchie for the bump on her head, it looks like quite an egg in that PP pic. But I'm glad she got right back to the party! Looked so wonderful. :)

Thanks for all the updates! :thumbsup2

thanks

Oh it was grrrrrreat! I wish I one of those appetizers right now!
well if you didnt have that stuff yet around us you are not going to get it for a while, about 20 inches coming total (already have about 10) with 50-60mph winds.:sad2:

Well, the thing is Dan, there is no escape from 'those people' here. I'm sure you will bump into all the usual suspects. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1
i know they are everywhere, might be easier to use spell check
:rolleyes1

nah
takes to much time.

I swear sometimes they like to slow down on purpose to make people stare at the Wedding pavilion to 'Oooh' and 'Aahh' over it. When I went to go check out the Memories thing on the castle and we were heading back, they had the carriage out. I couldn't imagine they would be do a wedding that late in the evening (it was way after 9pm). But the monorail did stop there for a good 5 mins so everyone could lean to the one side to check it out.

I'm honestly afraid to go to the Wedding pavilion or Franck's in person. :rotfl: I feel myself leaning to that more and more as where I want to get married and I am afraid if I walk through those doors I'd be signing contracts on the spot. :rotfl: Mind you if I could pick anywhere to work at Disney, it would be there.

Tim, I hope Mel gets home safely. Does she have to work tomorrow too? I hope she doesn't so you guys can stay warm & safe together at home.

Did you find yourself critiquing the DJ? :confused3

Unfortunately, I did. It always happens. I don't mean it to. :sad2:

I usually sit facing the pool and I watch the Lifeguards watch the pool.
Yeah I tell kids to walk too. Can't take the lifeguard out of the poolrat. ;)

I am better then I used to be but now I have passed that torch to my DS since he is a lifeguard now. Now I get to watch him freak out at the pool. :lmao:

It was weird... I saw what was going on but it didn't register that it was for Juliana for a minute. I'm glad it was nothing more than a little bump.

That tea party looks so cute....I may have to think about that as an option for my niece and I.
Awww... how nice of you! Mel & Juliana had a great time.

I'm glad too! :)

They probably could of stayed there all night dancing. They were having fun and really trying to follow the moves. :cool1:

That was awesome that the people at GKTW decorated your "house"..... I can imagine how excited she was.... The breakdast cart looked cool, that is something my girls will love so I guess we will have to try that one morning.
If you want to get out quickly one morning just call it up. It will arrive in a few minutes. It was very convenient!

LOVE the updates... at this rate you will be done by the time we head off to GKTW!!!! :thumbsup2
LOL I'm not sure about that. :sad2:

Thanks for sharing your family memories with us!!!
No problem! It is fun reliving it all. :goodvibes

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not the pukies! I sure hope it was just from all the eating and cha-cha sliding! ;)
There was a possible reason that I will get to soon. ;)

Ouchie for the bump on her head, it looks like quite an egg in that PP pic. But I'm glad she got right back to the party! Looked so wonderful. :)
I'm not sure that you could see the bump in that pic. It was on the side of her head- near her ear. I need to look again at that pic. :confused3 ;)

We've been getting hammered here all year. :confused3

Tim, I hope Mel gets home safely. Does she have to work tomorrow too? I hope she doesn't so you guys can stay warm & safe together at home.
Thanks. She got home safely. She said it wasn't too bad. It WILL be bad tomorrow.

Yeah I tell kids to walk too. Can't take the lifeguard out of the poolrat. ;)
LOL So that is where the name came from! :worship:

I am better then I used to be but now I have passed that torch to my DS since he is a lifeguard now. Now I get to watch him freak out at the pool. :lmao:
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Maybe you should pull the Caddyshack trick on him.. throw a snickers into the pool. :scared1: :lmao:

but, you'll take one of you whipping yourself??!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
Yes. That is respectable. My feet aren't. :sad2:

Evening Tim!!! Thought I'd share , my bosses daughter got a WISH!!!!!!!:banana::banana:
AWESOME!!!!!!!

Is she going to Wish for Disney?:confused3

We arrived at GKTW after our dinner in DTD just in time to get dressed and to head over to the pool area. Juliana wanted to get back into her Cinderella dress. In the pool area there is a big pirate ship... this is where the Pirates & Princess party would be. When we arrived there were tables set up with crafts, face painting, and dancing.

The first thing Juliana wanted to do was to do some crafts.

A little face painting.

DSC00748.jpg

The volunteer was having a hard time getting the paint on Juliana because the paint was hard because it was so cold.

We were only there for a few minutes when a few guests arrived.

Mayor Clayton- the mayor of GKTW.

After some dancing, all the kids got together for a treasure hunt.

It was so cold that some volunteers were bringing in propane heaters and they had hot chocolate too. There were about 25-30 kids at the party with their families. It came time for the kids to decide whether they were going to be crowned princesses or pirates. They had all the kids on stage and called them each by name.

The princesses received crowns like this:

It was a sight watching each child get announced. Every one clapped after each child was presented with their gift. It was one of those moments that was both happy and sad. There were so many kids there with so many different 'problems' but they were all having a great time and maybe, for just a few minutes, nothing in the world mattered but having their name called and to hear people cheering for them.

It was getting VERY cold and after all the kids names were called we walked back to our villa. We got Juliana cleaned up and into her PJs... it was time for bed.......

Or so she thought...

She was about to go into her bedroom when there was a knock at the door. Who would be knocking at our door at 9:15 at night? How about MAYOR CLAYTON!!!!!

DSC00768.jpg

Why was he at our villa? At GKTW you can request Mayor Clayton to come for a 'tuck-in'. He brought Juliana to her room.

DSC00769.jpg

DSC00770.jpg

He had her get in bed.. then they proceeded to jump on the bed.

DSC00771.jpg

Mayor Clayton checked under the bed for dust bunnies and looked in the closet for monsters. Luckily for Juliana, he didn't find any.

It was time to tuck her in, except he kept pulling the covers over her head.

We really got a kick out of Mayor Clayton and Melody & I were so glad we scheduled him to come and tuck Juliana in. I recorded the whole thing with my camcorder except that tape hasn't made its way out yet. :sad2:

It was time for the Mayor to go so he gave hugs to Ana.

And a quick family picture.

DSC00777.jpg

It took a few minutes for Juliana to settle down but soon she was off to bed. Melody & I repacked our bags for the morning and we too were off to bed. I did have time to post this before turning in for the night...

Another day is in the books. Today was fun, relaxing, exhausting, and filled with drama. I know what you are thinking....... sounds like the perfect combination for an interesting trip report! Tomorrow we venture to Kona for breakfast, MK to brave the crowds during the taping for the Christmas parade, go to DHS for dinner and to see the Osbourn lights, and if there is enough time, possibly DTD for a DIS meet. Tired yet? I just got tired writing this! LOL 72 degrees tomorrow!!:woohoo:

See ya tomorrow!:goodvibes

Up next.... What's the reason for an ADR #? & a.m. in MK

I love the 'tuck in's. I think its such a cute idea. :) Question, could you have requested that every night or is it a one time thing?

Good question. I'm not sure. I think it is a 1 time thing so other people can have a chance too... but I'm not positive. :confused3

Yeah, you are probably right.

You are spoiling us with all these updates. Are you working on a double update tonight so you can spend the day cuddling with the family tomorrow?

I heard on the news last night that many airlines are waving change fees. Is there anyway you can get out early?

Um, yes, we changed our flight MULTIPLE times with the fees waved but they just kept getting cancelled, no matter how early we tried to fly out or what day. We decided instead to hightail it out of New England by driving our way out and fly out from VA later today. So we still get to arrive on the same day, just later. Looks like you guys were getting hit just as hard in CT as we did in MA. I don't think we will be able to find our house when we get back home :scared1:

Love the Princess and the Pirate party and that tuck in process is so fun! I guess as long as you aren't afraid of huge giant bunnies! I think I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do when I get back!
