A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

Great update! I too did some chilly swimming 2 weeks ago at All Star Sports. You're right, stay in the heated water and you're fine. Me and DH RAN back to our room. Brrrrr
Thank goodness for heated pools! There was 1 reason I went in... I HAD TO! :lmao::lmao:

And another great update!

The tea party looks awesome but you had me mighty scared with her accident! Thank god, she wasn't hurt more!
She really had fun at the tea party. It was one of the highlights of her trip.

Those photos in the carriage are priceless and I am all with Kathy ....... start saving ......... right NOW!!!
I am taking donations to her wedding fund. ::yes::

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

great update tim!! love the pics and thats a nice tree!!! what a nice suprise!
It was such a surprise to get back to GKTW and see what they had done to our room. I am glad they were still there to hear Juliana screaming!!! :lmao::lmao:

that tea party looked like so much fun
sorry about the owie head and the peanut butter heart you had to have when you saw everyone around them
I'm glad that it was only a bump and nothing more serious than that. :goodvibes

Ugh I really need to stop reading your report off to check out the tea party now
Oh no. What did I do now? :confused3 popcorn::popcorn:: :rotfl2:

Wow, I didn't see that coming. Glad she was alright though. I can see Claire being mad because everyone was leaving her too. I really wish we could do this party, but since time at WDW is limited this time, I don't think we can swing it. How long did it actually last?
We arrived for the party at 10:15 and it started at 10:30. Once Juliana received her certificate in the gift shop it was 12:45. Some things did take a little longer because there were soo many girls. I think there ended up being 21 girls.

I love the holiday decorations too. That place is amazing.
Skip is alway the swimmer with Claire too. LOL!
I usually can weasel my way out of doing the swimming.... not this time though. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Julianna looks just like a princess! She is gorgeous! The tea party looks wonderful ..... how is it that Daddy didn't HAVE to join them? I'm so sorry she bumped her head. I bet the crowd surrounding her scared her much more than the bump. Thanks so much for so many pictures. Lhea and I are loving looking at them.
Thank you. I figured it would be nice for my DW and Juliana to have this experience to themselves. :)

I hope there aren't too many pictures. I do leave a lot of them out. :rotfl2:

Call a doctor! Or, maybe just stick with the "read my nametag" question.
Yes, reading the name tag would of been more my speed... although after drinking a whole pressed pot- running sprints in the GF lobby would of worked for me too! :lmao:

That's how they get you. You change, thinking everybody's going to the pool and then you discover that it's just you who will be accompanying the child. Hey, she did her part -- she went to the tea. <places back of hand to forehead>
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I guess she had to do the 'HARD' part on this day. :confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

More updates! :)
I'm luvin the tea party pics sorry it ended kinda badly for Juliana though.
Luvin the pic of the three of yee on the surf board!

OMG, Tim, what an eventful update!

I'm glad to hear that Ana only had a bump after hitting her head, but I'm so bummed for her that the Tea Party got disrupted. At least she looked good and it seems like she enjoyed herself for the most part. :thumbsup2

I must say that I've heard some naysayers around the board who complain about Disney's decline in customer service. Now maybe Disney was just trying to cover their a$$es, however, I might even say the help Mel received from MC's may have even been over kill. But at least they came to Juliana's aide quickly.

The pool at GKTW looks so great. I must say however you are a braver man than I to get in that water. What a good Daddy!! Is Juliana a daddy's girl. Hmmm, I can't tell. :lmao:

Takes one of know one. ha ha.

How long until spats come back into fashion? That'd be awesome.
:

:lmao: Glenn, I have a very bad chest cold right now and that made me laugh entirely too hard.

And Tim, though I'd respond on your thread...but, yes, the school that I taught at for eight years (up until a year and a half ago) went to Holiday Hill at the end of every school year. I'm trying to think if I can recall anything about the DJs. I know there always was one... It REALLY is a small world, after all. :lmao:

Poor Ana, glad she was ok!! Looks like a fun party. Yay for your alone coffee time while it lasted.

We finished up swimming and went back to the villa to shower and to get ready for dinner at DTD. Juliana was ready to go.

Princess Pretty took the ride over to DTD with us...

When I pull into the parking area, I could not find a parking spot. I was going up and down isle after isle. There were so many cars it was like Disney was giving away something free (or people were parking here to get out of paying at the parks.) I finally found a space after doing the 'CREEP' You know the 'creep'- you follow someone down an isle till they finally arrive at their car. LOL

We had a 4:45 ADR at Raglan Rd with Melody's cousin, his wife, and their kids. Melody's cousin & family live outside of Orlando and Melody is the godmother to their youngest son. We were going to meet them in front of T-Rex. On the way...

Mel's was styling the flip-flops she received from the Big Give.

DSC00722.jpg

It wasn't long before Mel's cousin showed up. I told them I had reservations at Raglan Rd. but T-Rex had openings too. (I originally tried to get us in T-Rex but it was supposedly all booked?) We went back and forth and then settled on Raglan.

We checked in on time and it didn't take long till we were seated. Juliana and her cousin sat next to each other. He wasn't too happy at the moment.

DSC00723.jpg

But he warmed up pretty quickly.

DSC00726.jpg

Juliana and the kids are like long lost best friends. Whenever they see each other they just pick right up where they leave off. They get along very well.

The adults had great conversation while the kids were being silly. We weren't sure if Raglan was the right place to bring the kids because we knew they would get silly but it was quite loud in there that no one noticed they were being loud except us. LOL

I ordered an appetizer.

DSC00725.jpg

It didn't take long before our meals arrived.

Juliana's chicken with veggies.

Melody's It's Not Bleeding Chowder

My Paddy's Pork

DSC00728.jpg

My pork chop was serious! It was huge and so tender. I loved my meal. Melody thought hers was OK she didn't love it. Juliana was eating her chicken and sharing some of the little guys french fries. I almost thought about ordering dessert except I was stuffed! We gathered up the kids and headed over to the Marketplace.

Using the buddy system.

DSC00735.jpg

See that ketchup stain on the little guys shirt? It looks like a hidden Mickey! LOL

We stopped to visit some old friends.

DSC00737.jpg

DSC00739.jpg

There was a DJ down on the stage near the World of Disney doing dances so we brought the kids down there to see their moves.

A Little Dancing... Click on the picture to see the video....

We watched the kids try to do the Hoedown Throwdown (thank you Miley for this wonderful dance) for a while. They were really cute. We invited Mel's family to goto the Pirates & Princess party back at GKTW with us. After a little debate, they thought that would be a good idea, so we went into the World of Disney to buy the little guy some pirates swag for the party.

We walked to the parking lot and they were parked only a few cars away from us. How that happened, I'll never know. They started following us to GKTW.

We were about 10 minutes from GKTW stopped at a light when her cousin pulled next to us. The little guy, the one that Juliana was sitting next to at dinner, the one that Juliana was sharing french fries with, the one that Juliana was touching and playing with all evening, just projectile vomited all over the car. They weren't coming to GKTW anymore... they were stopping to clean up what they could then were heading home.

We felt so bad for them, then we felt so bad for us. We hoped that Juliana wouldn't get sick. We continued to GKTW to see what type of (pirate) trouble we could get ourselves into.

Up next... A Pirate or a Princess?

Parking at DTD is always a challenge. It looks as if the kids had a good time at dinner and afterwards. I am SO hoping that Ana did not get sick for the party or the rest of the trip.

And love your special gals in their special flip flops. :)

More updates! :)
I'm luvin the tea party pics sorry it ended kinda badly for Juliana though.
Luvin the pic of the three of yee on the surf board!
She was upset but it seemed to pass quickly. The knot on the other hand lasted for a while. :sad2:

We are good surfers huh? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Eventful was not what I hoped for... :scared1:

She did have a great time.. the fiasco was only a little part of the party.

I must say that I've heard some naysayers around the board who complain about Disney's decline in customer service. Now maybe Disney was just trying to cover their a$$es, however, I might even say the help Mel received from MC's may have even been over kill. But at least they came to Juliana's aide quickly.
I've always had great experiences with Disney customer service. I think you are right though about the butt covering. ::yes::

The pool at GKTW looks so great. I must say however you are a braver man than I to get in that water. What a good Daddy!! Is Juliana a daddy's girl. Hmmm, I can't tell. :lmao:

Takes one of know one. ha ha.
Yes, she is a daddy girl... and a mommy's girl too. :lmao::lmao:

I hope your memories of the DJs were good ones. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow, and Wednesday, and Thursday. :rotfl::rotfl:

Poor Ana, glad she was ok!! Looks like a fun party. Yay for your alone coffee time while it lasted.
LOL My coffee alone time was cut a little short. I had no idea that something happened, I just thought they were already done at the party.

The kids had such a good time together. It's too bad that it got cut short.

I can't tell you if she got sick, that would ruin another one of my cliffhangers! :rotfl2:

And love your special gals in their special flip flops. :)
They looked cute huh? I wish I got a pair too. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Just kidding! They looked much better on them than they ever would look on me. :rotfl::rotfl:

Great Update Tim!!! I LOVE Raglan Road and a favorite of mine is the chowder !! I also have had the Pork, it's very good, and the Mighty grill is great !!Next time I am trying the steak !!! The desserts there are wonderful !! They cahnge them quite a bit but all have been delish !!!

My word...if we are...well, I don't know...I guess I'll laugh. Is it wrong of me to admit that all these snow days are making the time between now and Disney seem a lot shorter? :lmao:

And I LOVE the girls' flip-flops. So super cute. And I'm betting that no one else had them, either. :thumbsup2

Wonder how long we'll have to wait for that one.
You see how I'm banging these updates out? It shouldn't take long... :rolleyes1

I know the desserts are really good there I just couldn't fit one more bite in. I guess that is what 'next time' is for. LOL

They can only take so many days right? I mean you aren't still going be be in school in July are ya?

And I LOVE the girls' flip-flops. So super cute. And I'm betting that no one else had them, either. :thumbsup2
Nope! Those flip flops are one of a kind! (as far as I know!) LOL

You know I've not given you grief in a week at least...and I was hoping your eyes were bad and you wouldn't see it. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

HAHAHA.... I REALLY want to get this report done. After the next update.. or two depending on how many picture I put in, I only have 4 days to go.:goodvibes

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWW! We've done that before!! Mel's poor cousins! I really hope Ana doesn't get all barfy on you later.

That was a SERIOUS chop! It was HUGE. No wonder there wasn't room for Bread PUdding! Mel's looked great- I wish she had enjoyed it. I know RR is one of your favorites in all the World. No mussels this time??

Dance parties are ALWAYS fun! You stopped to do this last time too, didnt' you?

Wow, I leave town for the weekend and get TWO updates!!!!

well, looks like the princess party was quite exciting, happy Ana was okay and wasn't badly hurt so she could finish up the party....a whole pot of coffee, you must of been wired!

DTD looked fun, never been to Raglan's but your appetizer would of been right up my DH's alley :lmao: he loved his Irish beer!! too bad about the little guy getting sick, but looks like the rest of the night was fun! gotta love those dance parties with the little ones bustin a move!

This was our second meal at Raglan. I loved it both times I've eaten there.

I wish I had room for that bread pudding. There was no way it was going to fit. :lmao:

Yes we did. Very good memory! :wizard:

Yes we did. Very good memory! :wizard:

I remember Ana having some cute little dance moves, albeit a bit shy at the onset. If I recall, Mel had to help her out a bit- and she had a drink in her hand? by the way, we went to the coast a couple weekends ago, and I got a gigantic plate of mussels. And WHO do you think inspired me to do this? WHY TIMBO!!! They were fabulous!!! Mmmm!!

Juliana snapped out of it pretty quickly- once we found the other girls from the party.

HA! I am not a coffee drinker.. I just LOVE Kona coffee. I have loved it ever since my Honeymoon.

The food at Raglan is soo good! They have a nice beer selection and an outside bar too. Nice for a quick stop while strolling around DTD.

Your post reminded me... I took some video of the kids dancing. I'm uploading it now. The short video is them doing the .... guess what... Cha-Cha slide. :lmao::lmao:

Glad you had GOOD mussels. Imagine if I inspired you to go ALL the WAY to the coast to get mussels and they sucked? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

EDIT:::: It finished!
