A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

We've been getting hammered here all year. :confused3
yeah you have been getting slammed out there this year, what makes it bad this one is the wind, we have over 60mph the last day blowing it everywhere.

LOL They are watching Dan.... always watching!
ross from monsters inc.:thumbsup2

I was going to say Tim's TR is like a man cave. We wouldn't ever pick on you here, Dan! We save that for the more "feminine" TRs and PTRs, like Kathy's, Liesa's, Rosie's and Glenn's.......but then I realized it probably occurs on my TR too, so I figured I better just leave that one unsaid.......... :rolleyes1
this coming from the guy who has baking discussions on his report.:rolleyes1

We finished up swimming and went back to the villa to shower and to get ready for dinner at DTD. Juliana was ready to go.

Princess Pretty took the ride over to DTD with us...

DSC00719.jpg

When I pull into the parking area, I could not find a parking spot. I was going up and down isle after isle. There were so many cars it was like Disney was giving away something free (or people were parking here to get out of paying at the parks.) I finally found a space after doing the 'CREEP' You know the 'creep'- you follow someone down an isle till they finally arrive at their car. LOL

We had a 4:45 ADR at Raglan Rd with Melody's cousin, his wife, and their kids. Melody's cousin & family live outside of Orlando and Melody is the godmother to their youngest son. We were going to meet them in front of T-Rex. On the way...

DSC00720.jpg

Mel's was styling the flip-flops she received from the Big Give.

DSC00722.jpg

It wasn't long before Mel's cousin showed up. I told them I had reservations at Raglan Rd. but T-Rex had openings too. (I originally tried to get us in T-Rex but it was supposedly all booked?) We went back and forth and then settled on Raglan.

We checked in on time and it didn't take long till we were seated. Juliana and her cousin sat next to each other. He wasn't too happy at the moment.

DSC00723.jpg

But he warmed up pretty quickly.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, Tim, your kid cracks me up. :rotfl2:

I ordered an appetizer.

DSC00725.jpg
my kind of an appetizer. :drinking1

A Little Dancing... Click on the picture to see the video....

Too Cute.

We were about 10 minutes from GKTW stopped at a light when her cousin pulled next to us. The little guy, the one that Juliana was sitting next to at dinner, the one that Juliana was sharing french fries with, the one that Juliana was touching and playing with all evening, just projectile vomited all over the car. They weren't coming to GKTW anymore... they were stopping to clean up what they could then were heading home.

I don't know why but this stories was sort of funny and sad at the same time. I was not expecting your nephew to puke. Maybe it was just the way you phrased it Tim, it caught me off guard. lol. I just sort of imagined You, Mel, and Ana in the car waving and smiling to Mel's cousins and kids in the next car and the kid just blows chunks all over and the smiles just turn to disgust. Maybe I just have a sick sense of humor.

Poor kid, I hope he was ok and that Juliana didn't get sick. She doesn't need anymore "excitement" on this trip.

I love the Pirate and Princess party at GTKW. It still blows me away home much they do for these kids. And the fact that each kid got a gift and was called up individually. I'm sure it's sad to see the kids that are really sick :guilty:

Mayor Clayton is a busy bunny. This is also such a nice service they offer.

I love this picture. Juliana looks so happy here.

When I was little we took a Big Red Boat cruise. My parents had Tweety & Taz tuck us in...it was the best thing ever!

Looks like a couple more great updates. Looks like a good time with family in DTD. Projectile vomit in a car is never a good thing... especially when it could potentially put a damper on your vacation.

The princess and pirates party looks really cool. It is awesome the things they do for the kids at GKTW. Even with all that they have to go through, it is great that they are able to have so many positive experiences there.

Wow! 3 updates, I think! I love the party! Brings tears to my eyes - making every moment as special as they can! What special people! I love the tuck-in! That is just :rotfl2: But another very special memory!

I believe your princess will have many many more wonderful trips, but some of those babies, maybe not. What a wonderful organization!!! Do you know how to find out about volunteering there?

The evening party and tuck-in look like a lot of fun! I'm sure Juliana was thrilled. And there's no projectile vomit, which I think is an underrated quality for any evening activity. :thumbsup2
She had a great day.. minus the head bump.

LOL No vomit=good! :lmao:

I go to bed, collapsing from sheer exhaustion and wake up top find you have posted another update :yay::woohoo: Before I can comment on the last four! I was so excited, I truly LOVED that last photo with the family and Mayor Clayton, Juliana's smile was PRECIOUS!!! Full of delight!
Sorry for the flurry of updates.. 3 days down 4 to go. I'm trying to get this TR done in 4 weeks... think I can do it? :confused3

Where to begin on this...I LOVED the Tea Party and the magic you (and Melody) caught in the photos! I loved seeing what it looked like, we wanted the girls to do that Tea Party our last trip; however, the price made the choice for us, we did Alice's Tea Party instead (everyone said Rachel looked like Alice's little sister). I am so sorry for all of the drama, sounds like us, we can't seem to get away from it, no matter how hard we try. I always say, I can be sititng in my house minding my own business and somehow....:rolleyes1 You can tell she didn't let it ruin her day and I am happy the injury wasn't more serious! :goodvibes
The tea party was pricey but the girls thought it was worth it. How was the Tea Party for the girls?

We are usually drama free.. mostly.

Loved your dinner, especially the appetizers and the dance party looked like loads of fun:woohoo:...LOVED the video.
We had a nice dinner.. My food was REALLY good!

Also loved the pool photos! The family on the surfboard...Priceless! You know Lisa has to do THAT, although if it is cold, Pete WILL be the one braving the water...just like you :)
Hopefully you guys have warm weather. There is a whole sprinkler area too, which we didn't use because it was too cold.

I hope your weather isn't as bad as it looks on the news, although I imagine on top of everything you all already had it is :scared1:
We got a lot of sleet which helped. We had freezing drizzle all afternoon so everything is covered with ice now. Oh yea, plus it is snowing again. :lmao:

It kind of looks like you can see the bump on her left side in these pics.
I see where you are talking about, but the bump was next to her ear so that isn't it. :goodvibes

oh, and another update! You're on a "roll"!!! :rotfl: I love bad puns. ;)
:rotfl:

Looks like your princess had a great time at the Princess party and how fun was that tuck in? Loved your pics!! :)
The party was fun! Did you guys get the tuck-in too?

The Pirate/Princess party looks like a lot of fun. Juliana must have had a great time. I love the idea of a tuck in. Such a personalized thing for them to do.
The Mayor was such a jokester! He was really fun. I'm so glad that we did that.:goodvibes

The problem with the Caddyshack Baby ruth is that it floats. :rotfl2: Yp we had to try it to see if it look authentic. Tootsie rolls work much better.... not that I would know. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
LOL I'm suuuure you don't know.

Have you seen the Undercover Boss with Great Wolf Lodge??? That really is a typical day.
No I haven't seen it. Now I'll have to try to find it online.

What a nice party - Not quite sure how I feel about the GIANT bunny mayor coming to tuck in though. I am not afraid of creatures but ... it looked like a great experience.
Awwww... Mayor Clayton is a DISTANT cousin of Mickey Mouse... I'd bet you wouldn't mind him tucking you in!! :rotfl2:

(He isn't really but it was fun anyways! ;))

the party at GKTW looks like a lot of fun.....your statement about thekids getting their names called brought tears to my eyes...the fact that they are there because they are sick just break my heart, but having them experience the fun and magic of their Wish trips I hope brings them and their families some much needed magic and fun!!!
It was a moving experience. I wanted to give each kid a huge hug. :grouphug:

The mayor is cute, what a fun way to end the evening!
It was fun!!! He was great!

hope everyone on the east coast stays warm and safe through all the snow and ice!
Thanks!!! We made it though... Now they are saying we could get another major storm on Saturday then another one on Tuesday. This is starting to get nuts. :hyper:

Another great update, Tim! Checking in to see how you all are faring with the ice. It doesn't seem so horrible, but I haven't been out in, either.

How's Juliana feeling? :goodvibes
We had a lot of sleet and had freezing drizzle today. I hope you are ready for the weekend!

Juliana is doing well. She doesn't seem sick at all. Thanks for asking.

Hey, I want a tuck-in!

Nice update!
I can't help you with that. :sad2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The next time we're both at Kidani Glenn........ ;)

Another update that I missed???? I have an excuse...we were dealin gwith our blizzard.
More of a reason to be reading my updates Kathy!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

The parade looks like so much fun. Princess Ana looks so pretty with her face done up. I wish it hadn't been so cold for you guys though.
Once the sun went down it got cold very quickly... not like the weather Molly is having now.

I love the tuck-in with Mayor Clayton. My sweet DH tucks me in every night, but I'm thinking I might like Mayor Clayton to tuck me in too.
Awwww... what a nice hubby you have there!

Seriously, I love the photos with the Mayor and the two Princesses. Juliana has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.
Thank you Kathy! :goodvibes

Such a great trip report! I'm also from CT--hope you are enjoying all your snow/ice!! Enough already!:headache:
Wow your first post on the DIS is on here??? Cool!
:welcome: thanks for reading!

Aw the tuck in thing is such a cute idea!
He didn't tuck in Mel & I though. :confused3 ;)

yeah you have been getting slammed out there this year, what makes it bad this one is the wind, we have over 60mph the last day blowing it everywhere.
We had one storm like that a few weeks ago with 50-60mph winds. Glad you are doing OK.

ross from monsters inc.:thumbsup2
I'm sure Captain Oblivious will be around to hook you up with a +1

this coming from the guy who has baking discussions on his report.:rolleyes1
You have a point there! :lmao:

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, Tim, your kid cracks me up. :rotfl2:
Ummmm, I don't think you have. She is very silly sometimes. ;)

my kind of an appetizer. :drinking1
It was VERY good!

I don't know why but this stories was sort of funny and sad at the same time. I was not expecting your nephew to puke. Maybe it was just the way you phrased it Tim, it caught me off guard. lol. LOL Good description! :thumbsup2

They were behind us then pulled next to us to let us know what had just happened. :scared1:

Poor kid, I hope he was ok and that Juliana didn't get sick. She doesn't need anymore "excitement" on this trip.
Now you have me thinking... was there anymore excitement? :confused3 ;)

I love the Pirate and Princess party at GTKW. It still blows me away home much they do for these kids. And the fact that each kid got a gift and was called up individually. I'm sure it's sad to see the kids that are really sick :guilty:
IT was a great party. Seeing how happy all the kids were made it extra special.

Mayor Clayton is a busy bunny. This is also such a nice service they offer.
I wish I got a picture of it, but the Mayor drives this little car around the village. It is really funny.

When I was little we took a Big Red Boat cruise. My parents had Tweety & Taz tuck us in...it was the best thing ever!
See, it made a lasting memory!!! I never got a tuck-in. :sad1:

What, from you?!

Looks like a couple more great updates. Looks like a good time with family in DTD. Projectile vomit in a car is never a good thing... especially when it could potentially put a damper on your vacation.
Lucky for us, the vomit wasn't in our car. WHEW!

The princess and pirates party looks really cool. It is awesome the things they do for the kids at GKTW. Even with all that they have to go through, it is great that they are able to have so many positive experiences there.
I've said it 100 times already, but GKTW is simply an amazing place. There are activities every morning and every night. They really have thought of great activities for the kids. Plus you can eat ice cream from 7am-10pm. It doesn't get better than that!

Wow! 3 updates, I think! I love the party! Brings tears to my eyes - making every moment as special as they can! What special people! I love the tuck-in! That is just :rotfl2: But another very special memory!
I had a few updates... what else can you do when it is crummy out? :confused3 :lmao:

I have the whole tuck-in on video. I can't wait to watch it again. :goodvibes

I believe your princess will have many many more wonderful trips, but some of those babies, maybe not. What a wonderful organization!!! Do you know how to find out about volunteering there?
I found a link that has information for volunteers. I think you have to fill out a form and confirm the date(s) you are willing to help. We would like to go back to volunteer but I think Juliana has to be a little older first.

http://www.gktw.org/volunteer.asp

I found some info:

VIP CRUISE ON GRAND I YACHT – a 45-foot Sea Ray yacht staffed by a captain and deckhand, 17/18 guest maximum, available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Price: $480 for 60 minutes $720 for 90 minutes $960 for 120 minutes Call (407)-824-2682 to book.

http://allears.net/menu/menu_gy1.htm

Wow!! i think I'll just admire it from the monorail from now on. :confused3

Wow!! i think I'll just admire it from the monorail from now on. :confused3

LOL That's what I do!

If you had 15ppl, say 15 DIS Dads. Rent it for 2 hours with some food & drink it would end up being like $100-150pp. I'd do it... now to find 14 other people! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What a neat idea to have the mayor available to tuck the kids in, it really is an amazing place

The party sounded like a lot of fun, just too bad the weather had to be too cold.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes

The party was fun! Did you guys get the tuck-in too?

Hmmm, should I really tell you before it's in the TR?? :cool2: I'll spare you the suspense, unfortunately no. I kept meaning to call to schedule it and then we were just so busy trying to make sure we did everything else, I never got to it!! I really am disappointed about that. I know the kids would've loved it. Well, Carter might have been a little scared, he didn't love the characters. And since it was really Em's trip and she wouldn't have really known he was there anyway, I'm dealing with it. But man . . . :sad2:

How sweet that Mayor Clayton does a tuck-in! I bet Juliana was pretty darn surprised at that. Give Kids the World is the neatest place.:lovestruc

Juliana got such a kick out of it!

It was getting cold really quick. It was nice during the day though.

Awwww.. too bad you didn't get the tuck-in but I can understand why it didn't work out for you. There is so much going on and there was only 1 or 2 nights that it would of worked for us. Luckily, he was open when we were. He is a very busy mayor. ::yes::

It was really cute! Juliana was very surprised. Melody & I got a kick out of it too. :)

the thing that really makes it bad is i bet you are NE patriot fans.:sad2:
Nope I hate the Pats... I'm a Giants fan! (don't know if that is better for you?)

Is there a football game coming up soon !!!????:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I think so? :confused3
