A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

Your never going to guess what my son asked me for on Saturday. We went clothes shoppping and he saw his sister getting some capris and he said I want some of those too! :scared1: I said you want what, some pants like that short. He likes to wear just jeans year round or well pants of any kind. I said how about this, you can wear your pants any time you want as long as you dont complain to me that your hot. He agreed!

So did you get the long pants or 3/4 length. I think I've seen them referred to in that way...

He got regular old blue jeans. I dont know how I would handle the manpris.
I just finished reading your update too. Good one. We are going to take it a lot slower and easier this time. I am going to make sure we have afternoon breaks too. We plan to go to the park with evening emh. I know that since it is winter they are not near as late either.

I wonder if you will need the breaks with the weather being so much cooler. Maybe just take more time at a slower pace in the parks.

I really need to get pictures uploaded from Vegas, there might be a couple I can show on the DIS....you have not missed the mini-trippie.
You are so lucky to get to see Lion King, isn't is playing at Mandalay Bay? We had dinner there one night and I thought I saw the theater it was showing in....
Where are you staying?

Yes, Lion King is at Mandalay Bay - I'm so excited!:yay: Some day I want to stay there! We found a place through DH's uncle - Palace Station - about 10 min off the strip, really nice, great family place and only $30 a night. This is an extra trip this year, so we're on a budget, but we really liked visiting DH's family there in April.

Poor Baylor - he worked so hard pulling all those carts and riding all those bikes! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry, but your dinner doesn't look very good at all. I had heard good things at Citrico's and being at GF you'd think it would be better.

I never realized there were that many carts/bikes at AK!! I think the large cart would work the best, Baylor and Shocker could pull it together while you and your luggage ride along on the back. ::yes::

I laughed out loud at the pic of Baylor with the "colorful bird" behind him. You pulled the same technique as when you do with the manpris!

What a bummer about Citricos! Did you say anything about the state of your meal? For those prices, I would have sent it back and asked for something else.

I've been short on Dis times this week so when I came over to your thread this morning I was 7 pages behind! :faint:

The 50's looked so good! I want to try it, but my DH was like "Eh" so I skipped it this trip.

Le Cellier looked YUMMY!!! OMGoodness! I want some cheese soup and a mushroom filet. :lovestruc

Sorry about the rude CM Kristen! When I was a CM I would have never dreamed of it because in our mega training session they let you know over and over that you will be fired on the spot for being rude to a guest, no questions asked. I guess the lack of training (or shortened sessions) is starting to show a little bit.:sad2:

SAB looks so fun!!! I have to talk DH into staying there, maybe we can rent points there next time. Here's hoping!

I had no clue that there were so many carts/bikes at AK! We are usually running around like crazy people because I only plan one day there. This trip we have two days so I can't wait to enjoy it a little more.

For our October trip I did all of our ADRs online. It was very easy once you got the hang of it. I recommend it.

Your bike and cart photos had me laughing so hard!!! What a great idea for your TR!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I remember you telling me about the pork belly at Illuminations -- ewwww! I am so not a gourmand -- I like everything cooked through!

I am so sorry your meal was not better - and in the GF, no less! No fun at all!

But I loved those pictures of Baylor; that kid is a hoot! :rotfl:

Beautiful AK pictures! I love, love, love the one of the (prayer?) flags! What a great shot...I think that is what they are....I remember my man Joe Rohde (lol) talking about them on something or other. Also the shot of Baylor and the colorful bird in the background! You are so good at setting him up and while it is a great picture of him....the hidden gem is in the background!! :lmao:
It was a lovely place setting at Citroco's (and I liked the crayons they put out for Shocker ) but aaargh the food, although was nicely presented freaked me out a bit! :scared1:
:woohoo: I rode that rollercoaster in Las Vegas! I remember it being very expensive? But fun. And quick!

You are going to have a blast! I've heard of cheap rooms in Vegas but $30 per night? That's a deal!
Poor Baylor - he worked so hard pulling all those carts and riding all those bikes!
He does a great job posing for my photos.......:lmao:

I'm sorry, but your dinner doesn't look very good at all. I had heard good things at Citrico's and being at GF you'd think it would be better.
I'm thinking that it was just me, someone with more discriminating tastes might have enjoyed that meal.

There was a bunch of them and I even missed the one in front of Yak and Yeti because there was a woman resting on it.

I laughed out loud at the pic of Baylor with the "colorful bird" behind him. You pulled the same technique as when you do with the manpris!
Yep, was pretty proud of that one...

What a bummer about Citricos! Did you say anything about the state of your meal? For those prices, I would have sent it back and asked for something else.
I didn't even consider sending it back, I'm sure it was just what I ordered, I should have done a little more research!

That is too bad about your meal!
I'll be scratching that off my list of places to eat!

I love all your cart pictures!
We had fun taking them!

The 50's looked so good! I want to try it, but my DH was like "Eh" so I skipped it this trip.

I say you should try 50's PT and I would love to have some Le Cellier yumminess right now!

I would think that with the economy like it is right now there would be many nice people waiting to take her place!

SAB looks so fun!!! I have to talk DH into staying there, maybe we can rent points there next time. Here's hoping!
Hands down it's been our favorite resort so far! BUT we do have a first time stay at Kidani coming up in December...

I think we noticed the carts and bikes because we weren't in any kind of hurry, we really just took our time and enjoyed the park!

For our October trip I did all of our ADRs online. It was very easy once you got the hang of it. I recommend it.
That's very reassuring to hear!

Your bike and cart photos had me laughing so hard!!! What a great idea for your TR!!!
I got that idea from Connor's picture last year! I thought it could be an interesting theme for the day...:cutie:

I remember you telling me about the pork belly at Illuminations -- ewwww! I am so not a gourmand -- I like everything cooked through!
It was all just way too fancy for me...

I am so sorry your meal was not better - and in the GF, no less! No fun at all!
Honestly, I don't think the blame was with Citricos, I just didn't know what I was getting into. It wasn't the kink of food we normally eat....
But I loved those pictures of Baylor; that kid is a hoot! :rotfl:
He follows directions and poses well, actually I think he has some fun doing it too!:goodvibes

I really liked the flag picture too, I need to crop out the head of the guy at the bottom...
I wondered if anyone was going to notice our colorful friend in the back ground. She had an interesting saying on her t-shirt....

It was a lovely place setting at Citroco's (and I liked the crayons they put out for Shocker ) but aaargh the food, although was nicely presented freaked me out a bit!
Citricos was very pretty! The food just wasn't my style!
I rode that rollercoaster in Las Vegas! I remember it being very expensive? But fun. And quick!
It was a quick ride! Marc kept telling me to open my eyes...:rotfl2:

I've never noticed all of those bikes and carts, either. Fun pictures! Your boys are good sports with the theme photos.:) And ugh about your Citricos meal. Shocker's chicken looks great, and I like the sound of yours, but pork topped with pork fat?:scared1: Um, no thanks.

Not only topped with a layer of fat, but there was another layer of the white jiggley a little lower....
Great update!
Thanks Bean!
