A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

I think this would be great to bring up in chat!

Well, you bring it up and let me know what you hear!!! HAS CP ventured into the CHAT zone yet?!! :lmao:

I think you should go for the Sandcastle club, they had games, crafts, food, lots of staff. It was really nice! All of the kids seemed very happy and had lots of adult interaction!:goodvibes

I think we will it is that, or going to the Cubs den at WL, so we can try the sleigh ride and see the water parade with the kids after we have dinner at Cali Grill... I was considering the sleigh ride as something kinda hokey and fun, and they do it there, so if we were already there, then DH and I could slip on a boat over to the Contemporary... But we were also considering the Bistro de Paris (is that what it is called?) this time, and then just walk over from BC.... we'll see!

I was thinking about adding the 18th and 19th to our trip, DH is willing to consider... with the AP discount. Doing this gives us two more days, but also will allow me to confirm ADRs for the whole week, 18 - 27, right? See we would have two separate reservations, one at AKL and one for BCV... that is the only thing, and we have dining plan for the BCV reservation... I am just concerned that I won't get the reservations I want.... but I can still think about it. AND I AM TOTALLY WITH YOU ON THE LE CELLIER.... THAT is one I want to get for December!!!!

I am caught up once again (boy this TR get's away from me quickly!)

You have now got me completely convinced that one day I MUST stay at Beach Club!! It looks beautiful, the pool amazing, food delicious and a place to dump (um, I mean...professionally supervise) the kids for a quiet Mom and Dad evening in WS. sounds like heaven to me!!

Hi there!

Oh my, I cannot believe they left that poor woman behind! How sad!

That's so neat you met another DISer! How fun!! :cool1:

Have a good one!

The CM singing in the bathroom is great. She must really love working for Disney if she can sing while cleaning a bathroom. Too bad you also encountered a rude CM at Soarin' but at least you got something to make up for it.

I enjoyed your review of 50's Prime Time Cafe. I have been thinking of eating there on our next trip. The chicken looked really good.

You are a machine!!! :thumbsup2
Great pictures @ SAB! That is such a fun pool..the sand, the lazy river, the slide, the little whirlpool! :woohoo:
Yummy food at PTC.....Such a fun atmosphere and I really enjoyed the food. And the smore dessert! ;)
That poor, poor woman at Epcot. I can't even imagine! :sad2:
And Kristen....grrrrrrrrrrrrr.... I like that Shocker asked if she was the only Kristen :rotfl:
I made my October ADR's online and it was very easy....I made one change (from Tutto Italia to The Wave) and was not able to online (system down) so I called and it was easy enough.
Btw....did you mention something about a ride that you went on right before you left Vegas? :upsidedow Did I miss it?

Tracy

How about that Kristen! I think they should demote her to bathroom duty and mov the princess to Soarin!!
I was thinking something more along the line of working down in the giant dumpster under the MK....

Yumm, 50's primetime looks great! I love that they showed Walt dedicating Disneyland on tv!!:goodvibes The pot roast looks so good!! Every time I see it I drool.
If I could eat anything at this moment, it would be that pot roast. I'm soooo hungry for it!

Every time I see a picture of Beach Club it makes me want to stay there even more! Great pictures and the kids all looked so cute together during your meet!!
The kids got along really well and we love the Beach Club!

Bummer about the bridge not being too good a viewing spot. You know with having a small baby, we have never seen illuminations or Wiahes yet. Hopefully this trip!
If you make it to Illuminations I would suggest the pavilion by Italy!:goodvibes

Loved the phone booth picture, both of your guys seem to have such
It's all fun with them until somebody gets mad.:headache:

How cool is it that you got a tote instead of a cap!!:cool1::woohoo:
Now I'm just wondering what we missed out on the Wednesday we forgot to go over....

Your quotes look fine -- what do you want to change? Do you want them completely separate?

What I do is simply "band" each statement that I want to quote. Make sure you have [xQUOTE] at the beginning and [x/QUOTE] at the end and it should show up the way mine does. I think...
Hmmmm, I'm not typing in quote in all caps.....
Personally, I like Shocker's Locker of Manpris. :upsidedow
Do you think he needs manpris to go in that locker?:rotfl2:
Well, you bring it up and let me know what you hear!!! HAS CP ventured into the CHAT zone yet?!!

She is waiting on me, and I haven't been in chat so much lately! This is a crazy time of year and I'm trying to keep up with all the trips right now, but I will go in and ask this week!

I think the sleigh ride sounds fun, not dorky at all! I would imagine any of the kids clubs will be fun for the boys. Can't wait to hear what you decide to do!

I'm thinking our separate reservations in June made it hard to do all 10 days of our dining in advance...

We love the Beach Club and it was nice to have the Sandcastle club for a few moments of sanity!

I agree, that poor, poor woman and it was fun meeting Gina!
:goodvibes

The singing CM was a treat for sure and then there was
KRISTEN. I totally recommend 50's PT! All of our food was great!

Tracy

We had so many highlights on this trip but KRISTEN and that seeing that poor woman at WS were a part of them. I really think he had our nasty little CM wondering what was up....
We loved SAB, and 50's PT!

It's good to know that you had some good luck with the online ARD system, and that calling is always there as a back-up plan!

I did say that we rode the Coaster at New York, New York the morning we left Vegas. I'm needing to get some photos uploaded (the few that I can show on the DIS) and will do a very mini trippie as soon as I do!
:scared1:

I got a giggle out of that too. Shocker has a little saying when he hears someone say something snotty..."How did that snot taste coming out of your mouth?" Typically it's a student and usually a girl....

I came up with some great "snotty" pictures but even I had trouble thinking they are ok for posting.....:rotfl2:

I truly appreciate the fact that you are holding out on us this time....:rolleyes1

Today we were up early, Marc and Baylor grabbed breakfast in the room and I got another parfait from the marketplace. We then caught the bus for AK. We didn't make rope drop but we weren't far behind. Took a picture of Baylor just after stopping for EE fast passes.

425.jpg

Next we began to explore options to tote all of my luggage, on the way to the Maharajah Jungle Trek we spied this...

426.jpg

I'm thinking the luggage rack on back just isn't quite large enough...

Marc tried this one and it could be in the running, it does look roomy!

427.jpg

It did seemed a bit too much for Baylor so we moved on...

428.jpg

We stopped to look at the monkeys but they were being "frisky" so I don't think I'll post that picture.;)

In the Jungle Trek we stopped to visit the bats, I just love fruit bats!

436.jpg

432.jpg

The only Tigers we saw were, well us! Baylor and I are Tanglewood Tigers so we posed for this.
:goodvibes

437.jpg

Unless he planned on pulling a trailer, this wasn't going to get him far in the luggage toting quest!

438.jpg

I just love this photo, I'm really trying to get better about taking pictures of details!

440.jpg

Another Jungle Trek pic...

439.jpg

I'm liking this one, what do you think?

442.jpg

Baylor pointed this one out...

443.jpg

From the look on Baylor's face he wasn't approving of this one, the wheel is almost as tall as he is.

445.jpg

After taking a break in the shade the quest continued.

444.jpg

Once cooled by the shady fountain we forged on, making our way from Asia to Africa.
On our way we saw this cycle and thought it was a real possibility!

446.jpg

We had made it to Africa and spotted this gentleman near the tree with sausages hanging from it. I know someone on the DIS must know the name of this tree....

447.jpg

We lined up for our 2 week safari and snapped a picture getting ready for our journey...
There were many interesting and colorful creatures awaiting us!

448.jpg

We had a very short rain shower while on the safari, but it stopped just as we finished. We headed over to see FOTLK. This is when I started fading fast. Marc and Baylor were trucking ahead of me, I felt like the poor old woman back in World Showcase. I was hot, tired and just couldn't keep up, I even started feeling sick to my stomach. We made it into the theater then I just put my head down. The guys really enjoyed the show but I didn't watch it. I realized that I hadn't had anything to drink all day. After the show I got a water and we took it slow. Decided to go back to Asia and use our fast passes for EE but it wasn't running. After a quick stop at guest services we left the park with an anytime fast pass for any ride in AK.

Our Citircos reservation was that evening so we thought we should go back and clean up before dinner.

The Grand Floridian is soooo GRAND!

454.jpg

The band makes me think of the Titanic.

455.jpg

We were right on time for dinner so in we went. We were seated right near a window so I snapped these pictures.

457.jpg

456.jpg

458.jpg

The table setting was really cool!

459.jpg

Just as were were ordering the skies opened up and it stormed. The wind blew and the trees looked as if they were going to snap. All we could do was hope nothing broke a window and be glad that we weren't out in the parks looking for shelter.

Baylor's meal started with some chicken soup with Mickey pasta.

463.jpg

The bread was really good!

462.jpg

Marc had the roasted chicken which he thought was really good.

468.jpg

Baylor had a steak which he hated, I tasted it and yuck, it had a very strange flavor...

467.jpg

I had the Berkshire Pork Two Ways...this was pork belly, pork tenderloin, with polenta, swiss chard and California peaches. Notice the nice brown topping on the meat to the left....

466.jpg

Isn't it a pretty presentation? I was a little worried about the substance on top of the meat but thought it had to be wonderful. I stuck the tip of my fork in and juices streamed out. I tasted just a little and discovered....
The nice brown topping was pork fat...

I have to say this was the worst meal of all times. I picked and scraped, in my book you don't eat pork fat and the tenderloin was undercooked. I'll chalk that meal up to inexperience. I had no clue what I was getting...

It was still raining when we left the GF so we decided to make it an early night so back to the resort we headed. On the way in I took a picture of the guys by the Beach Club Woody.

469.jpg

We went upstairs and I found something to eat in the room. Then an early bedtime, we were GF bound in the morning for breakfast. Hoping for a better meal!

Well, they can't say that you didn't give them lots of choices!

Dehydration can hit fast and hard!! I always get a mongo headache and I know it's hit me!

Okay, it looked completely undercooked to me, and I was wondering what you thought! I have to say that this does not sound good at all!! I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. We went back and forth between Citrico's and Narcoossee's. I think we made the right choice with Narcoossee's.

I thought I was hungry till I read about your pork. My Dh loves pork, I tolerate and make for him, but the idea of eating raw pork makes me ill.

You have to drink some water lady if you are traveling through Asia and Africa. I think I am a bit of a nut about that in WDW after going so pregnant last June!

:lmao:Thinking about dumpster Kristen.

I will remember Italy. Thanks for the tip!!!

What great AK pictures!! I love your idea to photograph all the transportation displays!:goodvibes

What a shame you were feeling punky. It always seems hotter at AK then it does at any of the other parks!

Oh my goodness, what a disappointing dinner! I can hardly believe they served such rare pork.. I am not exactly a haute cuisine girl however. In fact I don't even know if I spelled that right?:confused3

I'm like your Dh, I love pork, but I sure see it in a different eye now. It was gross! I felt like such a loser since it was such a nice restaurant and I didn't have enough class to enjoy the food...
Oh well, if it hadn't been raining I would have stopped off at Casey's for some corndog nuggets...

All I can say is that I just wasn't thinking, I really know better.
