A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

IN the kitchen with the squirrels!!?? ;) I didn't think "Back To School Night" would ever be an unfamiliar prase, that is so funny... but "at a glance" THAT had me laughing...
Alright all, I am headed to bed... this mega Disney planning over the weekend wiped me out! ;)
I'm glad that our year at a glance gave you a chuckle, it's quite a dog and pony show!;)

Back after a long weekend....
Your babies are just too cute...I wish I could take them---I have a huge backyard and they could have all new squirrel friends. ;)
CP in the am before MK opens....I have a ressie...oh let's see a few weeks down the road I think at 8:15 and I am really looking forward to seeing the empty park.
Love the flooring in your kitchen :woohoo: The rest of it too! ;)

Your baby squirrels are so cute, and they are lucky that such nice people found them. Are you going to miss them when they go?

We have an open house at our school too...although I haven't heard when it will be yet...crossing my fingers it will be while I'm at Disney LOL!!

Just wanted to check in and say hi! I'm having trouble staying caught up with all the TRs I'm reading - I'm almost there, but the toothpicks keep falling out of my eyelids - see you tomorrow!

Did the squirrels leave your beautiful kitchen? I'm still a little amazed that you took them in, I know I couldn't have done it. They are cute but still rodents in my mind

Happydog, I knew exactly what you meant by BTSN...perhaps it's a regional thing? My kids (elementary age) always have it on the night before school starts. My hubby (high school teacher) has it coming up next week. He is all pissy and confused about the plans this year. In the past they had rotation times where parents walked their child's schedule and met with teachers, were able to ask questions, etc. He says this year they are having a "watermelon social" where parents are going to show up and everyone will mingle on the front lawn and teachers will have syllabi available if parents want them. I think if I were a parent, I would be ticked off if I showed up and all the teachers were "mingling" on the lawn. How exactly are they supposed to know who their child's teachers are? Greg said kids will be available to give tours of the building but as he points out, if he is outside, his door will be locked so exactly what will the parents see? "And this is the door to Mr. Schafer's classroom..." YEAH, great plan administrators!

A WHATAWATERMELON SOCIAL??!! GOOD grief. Fire that principal!!! :rotfl2: That is insane! Well tell him to hang in there! Maybe it is regional! Anyhoo, glad to know I wasn't the only one familiar with that acronym-eduspeak!

I think they should have a watermelon carving contest....

and a seed spitting contest!

They were adorable but were just taking too much care. They won't be ready for release for another 7 weeks!
CP in the am before MK opens....I have a ressie...oh let's see a few weeks down the road I think at 8:15 and I am really looking forward to seeing the empty park.
You will love soaking it all up! It's wonderful.....:goodvibes

They went last night, and yes we do miss them! The lady that took them told me that we had done a great job with them. They were so fat and alert!

We have an open house at our school too...although I haven't heard when it will be yet...crossing my fingers it will be while I'm at Disney LOL!!
Now that would be some real luck!

Just wanted to check in and say hi! I'm having trouble staying caught up with all the TRs I'm reading - I'm almost there, but the toothpicks keep falling out of my eyelids - see you tomorrow!
It's not going anywhere, take your time and don't lose any sleep over it.....:rotfl:

Yes, I took them to the squirrel lady last night. It was time. Marc told me that when he was feeding Skippyjane at lunch she had run up his arm and over the top of his head. She was a wild thing while Skippyjon what quite laid back.
They were cute little rodents that were too sweet to not try and save.... If the same thing happened again, we would repeat it in a heartbeat
.

I really like the idea of having a watermelon social and not letting anyone inside the building!

You all certainly had me with that one!:cutie:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Have you had any come up to you with their teeth in their hands yet? Both of mine always seem to lose theirs at school.

Ohhh, not yet, but it's sure to happen the way they are losing teeth some may need dentures soon!

I"m forever being invited to look in someones mouth at a loose tooth.....

Okay that is number 1 reason why I teach high schoolers...I cannot handle the losing of teeth...ewww...LOL!!!!

That one is DGS's favorite episode! I think I've seen them all about 100 times!:rotfl2:

Dawn always has those pictures with her in it in her reports. MeMom has them somewhere too I believe. I attest my oversight to having kids to watch... I am busy trying to not ram someone with a stroller. Someday I can soak up all the Disney touches again.

I am waiting for the moment ... there is one again coming right?

The only reason I saw them on my last trip is because Dawn had them in her report so I was looking for them. There are so many little details, it's hard to see them all!

I'm glad that our year at a glance gave you a chuckle, it's quite a dog and pony show!;)

:rotfl2:That's too funny! They're probably afraid "those" parents won't come if they think it will take longer than the McD's drive thru!

That has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard! (Yes, I did go to school - I know "stupidest" can't possibly be a word, but it seemed appropriate here!)

:lmao: I was thinking they might as well have a seed spitting contest!:lmao:

Loved the squirrels BTW - good job saving them!
