A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

I will not apologize for being frugal! :cool1:

If I am not mistaken, a very dear Southern friend claims to be CHEAP! :worship:

AMEN to that Brother........I mean, Mr. I Won't Rent A CAR!! I am not ONLY Cheap, I am DOWN RIGHT CHEAP!! Of course, my wealthy friends that tend to "tighten" their belts in an effort to $ave every penny they can, do tend to call themselves "frugal", where I just say it like it is........CHEAP!! DOWN RIGHT CHEAP!!

oh well thanks that explains a lot, I will sure let him know. I loved what I had and would like to go back, but I know it wont happen this next trip. Maybe I can talk him into going when we go by our selfs in April. Where do you go to look up your recipes?
I hope you do get to go back, he can always try something else. Here's the link to the recipes. http://allears.net/din/rec.htm
Great update...Shocker getting his head chopped off..>:D
The are in the stocks not a guillotine.........:rotfl2:
I love this one!

Look how cute your guys are.
They look so excited as they are about to embark upon this ride. Little do they know what lies ahead as this train loses control!
I know, and they forget about that part every time, plus Marc always thinks that he is going to hit is head on that one dip.....:rotfl:
As for me, I hold my hands up and scream like a lunatic the whole time. I'm a big shot on this one.:rotfl2:

The LTT food looks good. We ate there the night before Thanksgiving. That was right before they were removing the characters, but now I've read they're bringing characters back, or may have already. I don't know for sure.
I had heard that they were bringing them back too. We have never seen them at lunch though just dinner.

That first bus ride is always so exciting!!! :yay:

Especially when you feel like royalty since you are the only ones on with a bus chauffeur.........

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: This picture cracked me up!!! He's Bo's cousin surely!
Hahaha! I never thought of that but I'll bet he is!
I laughed out loud over all the manpris pictures -- I really didn't realize what a craze they are!!!
I won't even begin to show every picture I took of them.
Lunch looks very yummy at LTT. One of these days we will head over there.
Oh you should do a LTT lunch, it's one of my favorites, real comfort food.:goodvibes
Did you do like MeMom did with Splash Mountain?
Just you wait.....;)
OH what a great update!! Can't wait to see what the final manpris count was!!! LOL!!
I'm going to remind Shocker to start the count....AGAIN........:sad2: Unfortunately he is sitting here dising just like me.:lovestruc
OH what fun you guys had on all those rides around MK!! I love BTMRR!!!
BTMRR is Baylor's favorite and he would be happy to spend every day there riding it over and over. He's a big shot on that one too!
Lunch at LTT looks amazing and yummy to that Tavern Fried Cheese...oooh so yummy looking!
Again we have LL and all her droolings over it to thank for ordering it.
BTW I meant to tell you I grew up in Kansas!!
Oh my gosh! Where pray tell?
Actually I have never had the LTT Tavern Cheese but I dream about it. :rolleyes1 I need to eat there, your lunches looked so GOOD!
I distinctly remember you talking about the tavern fried cheese and even adding a couple of drools in the comment. In fact when we were looking at the menu I even said that LL loves the fried cheese let's start out with that!:rotfl2:
You should try it out, from EXPERIENCE, :lmao: I highly recommend it.:goodvibes
Love the picture of the boys on BTMRR.
Yep, you know, it's the wiiiiiildest ride in the weeeeeeelderness!
I have never been on the carousel either, maybe I need to fix that.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one. :sad2:

Man...sakes...alive, you got me shaking in my boots!! :scared: I have been taught through the years that sometimes the "truth" hurts, but I have also learned that it can also set you free..............so, just consider any innuendos that my have slipped from my forked fingers as my effort to help you see the light!! As far as threats, I am pretty sure that I have dared not gone down that road........either in my own vehicle or in a rental......so, I can only assume that must have been directed at someone else on this thread???

Besides, since you don't ever seem to get to be in the "same" chatroom as my brother, Shocker, allow me to share a tidbit that I learned about his last trip to WDW. A little birdie, shared with me after he dared to leave property, that he even vocally mentioned (in other words OUT LOUD stated) that having a rental car might not be a bad idea. Now I am sure, Mr. I Won't Rent A Car, that it is as surprising for you to hear that, as it was for me? I reckon after getting off site, he saw that there might be some advantages to having a vehicle with him while at the World? Of course, we can only speculate why he would allow such a thing to slip from his lips while others were around to hear it? With that said, I think we both know our precious Wigd. well enough to know that she is never going to AGREE to drive to Orlando from KS, so the ONLY option left to my Brother is a rental?? Either that or continue be really kind to those that have vehicles that he can hitch a ride from?? :confused3

But it is good to see you alive and kicking.......just be careful where you kick, it could make for some really lonely evenings...if ya know what I mean?? :rolleyes1

What would happen if all the DISney guests opted to rent cars?

Can you imagine the lines at the rental car counters?

What would happen when DISney had to discontinue the Magical Express? :scared1:

I wonder what a taxi ride to the resorts would cost?!?!

So, before you go trying to help me "see the light", maybe you should consider all the ramifications of your helpfulness!

I am a little concerned as to why my DISsociative identity DISorder is any business to anyone but me and my selves! :confused3

sybil.jpg

Shocker and I have chatted and he is now back on the path of frugality! He knows that he strayed and he has promised to, once again, choose to do what is right.

I am alive and I am kicking...:cool1:

I intend to keep close tabs on this TR to see if I am DISparaged even one more time. :sad1:

I will not apologize for being frugal! :cool1:

If I am not mistaken, a very dear Southern friend claims to be CHEAP! :worship:
I was choosing my words carefully, I could have said cheap just as easily!:confused3 :rotfl:

I was just trying to be kind with the wording.....:cutie:
Like CP said, lunch looked so yummy:cool1:
Sounds like you got a lot done prior to lunch, too!

We did get alot done, especially when you think about the fact that we didn't even get there until 10:30. The park wasn't packed yet...

This was our first full day to be in the park and we had a lunch ressie for Liberty Tree Tavern. So we slept in and headed to Magic Kingdom about 10:30.

Happy to be on the bus!

I took a picture of myself because I was happy to be on the bus too!

097-2.jpg

We were the last stop for the resort so we had the bus to ourselves, well we did have a driver....

"Happy to be on the bus!

"...because I was happy to be on the bus too!"

"...we had the bus to ourselves...."

I love being validated!!!!!! :cool1::rotfl2::goodvibes:love::dance3:

As far as my brother having already forgotten making "that" statement about a rental........hey, that's what I am here for!!! ;) I mean I know at times "we" forget things and we have to look out for one another, ain't that right Brother, ain't that right??? :rotfl2:

OK, Blesseddaddy, how many times did you drive to the parks when you were at DISney in October? Didn't you have your own car there?

What a great morning!! I am cracking up over the manpris. I had my son in September. When it started to get cooler I asked my husband if boys could wear capri pants (I was used to dressing a girl!) and he gave me a firm no. I have to show him your pictures and tell him that guys do wear capris.

Your lunch looks so good! We ate there for dinner last May and it was very good as well.

I won't lie, it was an exceptional bus ride, the first of many!

I'm thinking they were bussers.......

You know, I'm thinking the manpris are a little metro and I won't be surprised if we see more and more guys wearing them.

We have never had a bad dining experience there! We just love it....

I grew up right outside of Manhattan on the western side of Ft. Riley!!!

I grew up right outside of Manhattan on the western side of Ft. Riley!!!

You were right in there with all those Wildcats! We've been up that way a few times when the girls played in softball tourneys.
I must admit, Baylor is a giant KU fan, there are lots of rivalries around here between those to colleges!
Did you get your degree in Kansas?

Hi there, thanks for coming over! We have been ground floor each time at SSR and we've stayed there three times. I guess we've been pretty lucky with the view but this last time it was beautiful.
I noticed that you are going to stay BCV next May, what are your dates, we just booked ours today for May 30 through June 4. Then back on the 8th and 9th after our cruise.
I need to tear myself away and get some housework done.:woohoo:

I HOPE to stay BCV in May, but I own at SSR so I have to wait to book! I probably won't get it, but I will wait list. I want to stay May 2 - 7th. The 7the month window is Oct 8th! May 7th is my BD so it would be fun to be there for that, but I think I might be too late for gnomefest! If I don't get BCV or BWV I may try OKW. I have never stayed there before.

I love your TR, but I am reading it at work and I can't see the pictures and its driving me crazy! I must see the manpris plus the world's biggest McDonald's. Plus I still have to go back and read all the crazy comments.

Actually I started at KSU but I met my hubby and we got stationed in Alaska where I finished, but I'm with Baylor all the way I was born in Lawrence and the Red and Blue runs through me pretty thick! I'm definitely a Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! So it wasn't easy going to the KU vs KSU games wearing my KU stuff with all my fellow KSU friends LOL!!!

Good luck on getting Beach Club! I'm so happy that we decided to purchase points there, we wait listed through Disney last summer and when they got points we bought, but there were no incentives. We did get to book our end of May stay there yesterday. I was hoping that we would be there at the same time, it would have been fun to meet.
We have stayed at OKW twice and we love it there too! I have some pictures in my spring break trippie.

Well, when you get home you can just scroll away and take a peek at the pictures, the comments are another story, sometimes it gets a bit deep in here!

Whew, I was worried that you might be one of those purple people.:rolleyes1
(can you believe I'm posting in purple:eek:)

So it wasn't easy going to the KU vs KSU games wearing my KU stuff with all my fellow KSU friends LOL!!!
They didn't pick on you or anything did they?!?:cheer2:

What would happen if all the DISney guests opted to rent cars?

I don't think there would be much difference if the folks were like us and ONLY used personal and rentals for going OFF SITE! :confused3 I am looking at how much it would help the local economy for the Orlando area, I am sure they could use any extra dollars generated by those die hard Disney folks that think Mickey won't speak to them when they return to his World, once they have ventured off property........oh wait, he won't talk to them anyway!! :rotfl2::lmao:

Can you imagine the lines at the rental car counters?

You are going TO Disney.......so, you should always prepare for the worst and hope for the best........in other words, you should ONLY go, if you can handle LINES, cause at Disney you are much more likely to encounter LINES there, than anywhere else!! :rolleyes1

What would happen when DISney had to discontinue the Magical Express? :scared1:

I wouldn't know, we live close enough to drive down, it's a lot cheaper that way, you know??

I wonder what a taxi ride to the resorts would cost?!?!

OK, I have to admit you had me really thinking, until I ran across this little gem and then it snapped me right back into reality.......I mean if you are standing in line to get a rental, since you had me thinking the Magical Express might have to be shut down because of my cheapness...then it hit me......why would you be taking a cab if you are RENTING A CAR??? :sad2: Talking about wasting MONEY!!!! FOR SHAME!!!! Now let this be a lesson to us both, that when we say too much, we might lose any gain that we earned, prior to letting it slip away!! :lmao:

So, before you go trying to help me "see the light", maybe you should consider all the ramifications of your helpfulness!

Can we ask Wigd. who was more helpful??? ;)

I am a little concerned as to why my DISsociative identity DISorder is any business to anyone but me and my selves! :confused3

Oh, MR., I can't speak on behalf of anybody but me, myself and I, but the three of US love all your identities!! :thumbsup2

Shocker and I have chatted and he is now back on the path of frugality! He knows that he strayed and he has promised to, once again, choose to do what is right.

That is impressive indeed, all this time I had been led to think (by some..:rolleyes1) that NOBODY could talk some sense into him?? Who knew?? You have done what a few, I think, would call impossible!!! :worship:

I am alive and I am kicking...:cool1:

Again, just be careful where you kick.......that's all I'm saying!!SIZE]

I intend to keep close tabs on this TR to see if I am DISparaged even one more time. :sad1:

I think that Wigd. would say you are NOT alone in keeping close tabs on this TR!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

OK, Blesseddaddy, how many times did you drive to the parks when you were at DISney in October? Didn't you have your own car there?

OH, thank you for pointing that out, but trust me I had NOT forgotten it, if that is what you were thinking?? I mean, I am sure that everybody on here KNOWS that I am going to use that gas that I had ALREADY paid for, before having to refill my tank to get to the same place it was going!! I admit I am CHEAP, down right CHEAP!! I do think Disney has the transportation down to a science indeed and if you are just staying on property and I am huge believer that it is wise to use the system they have created for ease to and from the parks, especially since it is included with the package. With admitting that, if it was even NEEDED, I also have say that if you plan on doing other things NON-Disney, just like my friend Shocker said, having a rental isn't a bad thing!! Especially, if you aren't as fortunate as we are and live close enough to drive your own vehicle down. That's all I'm saying!! I mean we did run to Walmart, an outlet, we even dinned at a "cheap" place off site, not to mention driving over to visit and stay with "some" of our "frugal" friends over at Bonnet Creek and one evening we did drive to DTD in our own vehicle. I know DTD probably doesn't count as a park though. We were just concerned about the late hour and getting our girls back to bed, so we opted to drive over there instead. Was kind of nice to have THAT option! :rolleyes1

I guess I do have to admit, I am a lot like your Moniker.....I wouldn't be renting one either, since we won't ever be flying down. I mean, as long as we live here, we will always have our vehicle with us!! So, truth be told, we are on the same side of the fence. Even if it really isn't for the same reasons, since you are forced to defend your actions for entirely different reasons than the luxury I have!!! :lmao:

Oh yes, I'm watching......:surfweb:
