A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

Welllll, dedicated, picky, controlling, I have trouble giving up my classroom especially in the week before state testing. That building sure makes some strange noises in the middle of the night... I'll be back after school today to do more plans when I think the building is clear though, I'm taking another day, I do have a sinus infection and a killer headache
I'm a little nervous about making adrs without park hours, so I will probably make some changes accordingly, but who know? They may work
Kidani in November? I can't wait to hear all about it since we are there right after you in December. Are you doing a pre-trippie?

WOW state testing already??? when do you guys get out?? OUrs is not until May. I don't know about a pre-trippie...I may now that i am thinking about it. will let you all know....glad to hear you got yourself some meds..you will be back in the classroom in no time...teachers are an interesting bread of people that way..rest up...big week for you.

We get out just before Memorial Weekend ..... but we start back early in August

It seems according to the CMs at Disney Dining taking a bus to an early ADR prior to park opening is not a good plan. While Marc and I were skyping yesterday I mentioned that we might need to take a taxi to our CP breakfast and he told me that he was looking at car rental! Those of you who know us from dis chat know how we have gone round and round about car rental, me begging and him saying nooooo Honestly I would be happy with a taxi at this point.....


Day number 2 on the sofa......but back to school tomorrow I'm feeling much better
But......while on the sofa I managed to dial the number for Disney Dining and after making ADRs through June 4th yesterday I thought I would be able to book one for June 5th today! Welllll..........no go on call number 1 the CM told me that I needed to call back on March 2. Hmmmmm, I didn't argue, well not much, but I was ever so pleasant about it. So I decided to end the call and try again. Next call they ask for my conformation number on our reservations and bingo I get an ADR for June 5th!
Here are our ADRs so far:
May 30 we arrive no flight purchase yet so no ressie yet....
May 31 4:35 LTT this is an EMH late night at MK but when we were there last year over the same weekend it was deserted walked on to the rides
June 1 Cape May 5:35 (we move to bcv today)
June 2 CP bfast 8:55 (not as early as I wanted so may try for another day)
June 3 Le Cellier 5:25
June 4 1900 Park Fare 4:50
June 5 Ohana 6:40 (wanted a later time but nothing available , was hoping for wishes viewing from the beach) we'll see if this one get switched.....

What I really don't understand is the ADR rules some CMs are doing the 100 day rolling and some are enforcing the 90 days from the day of arrival. I don't get it

I don't know why the CMs aren't on the same page either. I think that is why I had a hard time getting Le Cellier, it doesn't seem fair for some people able to book 90 days out and others 100 out. Oh well.

We had an 8:30 ADR for Crystal Palace last trip and there was a bus that left Pop Century at a little after 7AM and we were able to get to MK before they let people in for the 8AM ADRs. The bus stopped at each resort that guests on the bus had breakfast ADRs for. We stopped at Poly, WL, Grand Floridian, Contemporary and then finally MK. It worked very well for us.

I agree, they need to get the rules straight, even at 100 days out I couldn't get Ohana as late as I wanted, since we wanted to go out to the beach for wishes, which we still can but will need to hang out for a while.....

Glad to know you are feeling better. Taxi travel at WDW has its perks, Your trip shouldn't be more than about $15, but the schedule you have the bus should be fine.

We got there about 7:40, and they wouldn't let us in until 7:50, so plenty of time.

My fear of not making it to an early morning ressie is definitely a control issue.

I think you will be fine. We were there before they even let anyone into the park and I am pretty sure they started letting people in at 8AM. Once you get to CP, everyone is just milling about after you check in and then they start calling in everyone one at a time.

I was most freaked about the ADR but I was told not to worry about it. I was pleasantly surprised when the bus driver asked everyone where they were going and he also would tell us what order he was going to stop in and reassure people that they would indeed make it to their ADR on time.

Okay...so I reallly wished i would have booked for the time you guys were going.. Maybe in december..just depends on how good of a granddaughter i've been. Nana my grandmother is trying to plan a vacation with her girls..

Now for one more ?? please. How late does a bus run to DTD from the resorts? I was curious because we are doing an illuminations cruise one night and will have to get back from beach club to SS after. I figured it would be easiest to take a bus to DTD and then a boat to SS. Does this sound like a good plan?

Now for one more ?? please. How late does a bus run to DTD from the resorts? I was curious because we are doing an illuminations cruise one night and will have to get back from beach club to SS after. I figured it would be easiest to take a bus to DTD and then a boat to SS. Does this sound like a good plan?

I think taking the bus to DTD is a good idea, but I'm not sure how late the boat runs between DTD and SSR. If you are staying in the Congress Park section you could always walk back, or take a bus, with Pleasure Island now closed, I'm not sure how late buses are running these days..... I will ask some of my Disney expert friends in chat tonight!
