A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

Poor Baylor with his vomit bag and sleeping companions (but I had to laugh a little at the thought of him putting it back afterwards).

OKW is gorgeous!!! I didn't realize just how pretty it is!

First night at Magic Kingdom with Spectro! So awesome!!! :cloud9:

Woo hoo!! Enjoyed your pre trip report and already loving your tr!! I am so glad you posted some pictures of OKW!! My daughter and her family have a stay there before I arrive and after looking at so many pictures I am bummed I will miss it. Well maybe we can stay there a different time!!
Looking firward to more trip installments and I hope what ever bleeding there was ended up being minor!!

Ohhh no, I thought you were going to be there too, you are going too, right? I may need to go back and re-read your updates....
Let's put it this way, no one died!:rotfl2:

It's just so laid back at OKW and very pretty too! Sometimes I wonder why we didn't buy our points there. :confused3

lol, happy there were no fatalities!! I am going down a week later when we are staying at SSR, another beautiful resort imho!! I couldn't get both weeks off during Easter with so little notice. I head that way on April 14-21, the rest of the family will be there the 6-21, including Travis!!!:cool1:
That brings me to a question for you. I may ask it on the restaurant board also. April 6 is Rachels birthday. Can I order a birthday cake to have delivered to their room that day? I wont have a room number as they arrive that day. TIA:thumbsup2

That seems to be the beauty of DVC though -- you can stay there when you feel like it as long as there are rooms available, right?

Yes you can!! I am excited to try a lot of the resorts! Hopefully we will be able to travel off season to try some of the more popular ones as you can only book non-home resorts at 7 months.

Glad you arrived safely... and MK the first night- is there anything better? The treat Baylor left the airplane... I am sure they have seen worse!

It really is great to be able to stay there, there seems to be availability when the others are full too! We have rented points for both of our OKW stays....:goodvibes

I'm sure you can have that cake delivered, do you have a trip conformation number? They can have it waiting in the cooler just like they do our grocery order...
The kids are going to have such a nice long vacation! I enjoy staying at SSR too! We've stayed there twice
.:goodvibes

No, there is nothing better, we had a magical evening indeed!
As far as Baylor's little treat, I'll bet they have seen worse, he just kind of spits up and I"m sure they've had puke everywhere plus a few other bits of nastiness.....:lmao:

My parents came over for dinner tonight, and I was telling them the story about Baylor putting his sick bag in the seat back. They chuckled quite a bit over that! ;)

loving your adventure

your hipster is a great color!

Love the bag story, ugh! poor next person in that seat

BD looks just like I pictured lol!

can't wait to read the rest. I love your OKW pictures, i love that resort, the 1 br expecially. Wigd, once you stay in a 1br you are in trouble. the tub! oh my

Wait until you see the rest of the hipsters, (I took three):rotfl2:

Baylor is so considerate in his bag sharing, he probably wanted to make sure then next person had one in case they got sick!

Isn't OKW pretty? I do love it there..... and I can't wait for the 1br in June, there are no room pictures on this report because the minute we hit the room it looks like a tornado has come through. The extra space and a big tub..........:cloud9:

We get to the room and it smells really strong of a febreeze type smell, uh oh not happy with smells like that, Baylor kicks his crocks off and immediately announces that the carpet is soaking wet:scared1: and then Marc looks in the bathroom, it's a wheelchair accessible bathroom, which means no tub for me........ So back we go to the Hospitality House, (gee I'm glad we were so close) to let them know that I would be needing a room with a tub. That was quickly taken care of so off we went to retrieve our carry on luggage that we had left in the room, stop by the Hospitality House and retrieve our purple locker and head over to the new room, just across the bridge from the Hospitality House and near the first bus pick-up point!

Always ask if the room has a tub before leaving check in at DVC ... eliminates any troubles.

Thanks!!! I'll try to arrange a cake delivery tomorrow!!:goodvibes Looking forward to more trip reporting!!

Then Marc asks what he did with the bag because we knew nothing of the illness, and he said that he put it back in the seat pocket..........at this point I don't know whether to laugh or cry...:guilty: :lmao: :guilty:
:scared1: I'm sooooo glad I drive.:lmao:
Great start to the TR, can't wait to read more.:surfweb:

Hello Wigd., Shocker, and Baylor. First a big, big THANK YOU for showing a newbie how to spend a magical night at MK on a first Disney trip!! Sorry, Shocker, but it was our first time....LOL I know your comment wasn't aimed toward me, we weren't even in Norway!! LOL But we were first timers, though Tracy has already claimed that we would be returning, so I guess I can slip by, just by saying it won't be our ONLY Disney Trip!! LOL My girls loved both Spectro and Wishes and though I am sure it would have been magical from anywhere, the spots you took us too seemed prefect to this country boy from Bama!! So, thank you so much. You both should be extremely proud of Baylor, he was an awesome "guide" with impeccable manners and made the evening even so much fun! I do hate we didn't get to meet up again during the week.......Tracy did eventually make it out the outlet stores, but it was Friday night before it happened. You should have called and she would have loved a break during the week, I am sure.

I am thinking about changing my name from Blesseddaddy to Commando Chris at this point. After reading all the tips and coming to chat every night, our game plan worked wonderful, well except for my tired aching feet and those blisters that popped up on Sunday night (another wonderful tip from the dis boards.........Muleskin!! Without it I'm not sure I could have made the week!!) Anyway, at this point my girls have been able to ride the small and the bigger rides and according to the youngest Barn Stormer, was boring....I guess after Everest, Space Mt., RRC, TOT, etc., she is likely right. Our next trip we won't have to spend as much time in those areas!! YEAH maybe a little resort time by the pools!!

I think I understand better now how you pros do Disney, but for our first trip we did try to do "everything" we could and we had a wonderful time. Meeting up with you all on our first full day there was icing on the cake and made the night extra special.

Don't fuss at Marc too much. We had one whatever you would like to call him, be rude at the Tiki Show and I had to calm Tracy down!! I just told her that rude was rude even at Disney World and what goes around comes around, to not let "him" spoil her trip, he has to live with himself. Of course, I did say it loud enough for him and his family to be able to hear it!! It was pretty clear that at least some of his family was embarrassed by his actions.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about your week. I may even try my hand at a trip report some day!! Until then, I'll just enjoy yours!!

We will be doing Character meals in the future........worth the 100 bucks to not have to stand in long lines for autographs!! That is not to say that I wouldn't do the same Dinning Plan that we did this time...it worked well for us!! I understand why many do what they do, but for us having the freedom to be where we are without having to leave to make an ADR (which I did see happen more than once) made our trip a little better and helped with my aching feet!! LOL

The girls also started the pin trading stuff, with me standing the background saying do you really, really want to do that?? Really it was more the older of the two, the younger one just wanted pins with frogs and since Disney doesn't seem to have a pond full of those she was content with the few she ended up with. I guess that was a down side to the girls having their own money!! LOL

MOVING my ADR changes on the pool up to 17, thanks!! LOL

Looking forward to the rest of the report! Thanks for including the picture of our new good friend and his family, blessed daddy. You all looked very happy to be in wdw together! Hey, where are the pictures of Marc in his manpris or skirt?? I was really looking forward to seeing him model the new spring styles for men...LOL (maybe he could borrow high heels from your PE teacher. They would go great with his manpris or skirt).

OKW looks really pretty, btw. Didn't realize how nice it is.

Take care!

Can't wait to see more...
Stay tuned......

Oh, believe me, I will make sure there is a tub, if we are staying in a 1br will that be a concern?

BD, there is no way you were rude like those people in Norway. They were just swept away by the wonder of Disney and I'll bet they had no idea they were stepping on Marc's toes.
Thanks for the Baylor comments he is a Disney loving boy and enjoys sharing it with others.
We enjoyed spending time with you at Magic Kingdom and were sorry that our paths didn't cross on another day.
Yea to Tracy, you should do some character meals on your next trip, they are very fun, we only did a couple this trip but they were so fun!
You know with the ADRs you find yourself planning around them and park hours, with so many fantastic restaurants at Disney you will find that it is worth it to alter your touring to fit in meals. I promise!:goodvibes

I'm so proud of the girls for starting pin collecting early, you may want to try ebay so they will have some traders for the next trip!
