A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

After saying our goodbyes to Chickie, our group made our way over to BTMRR, it was crowded and we felt like fish swimming upstream. :fish: We just tried to stay in a single file line and snake through the crowd........We got to "the wildest ride in the wilderness" and headed up the fast pass line!
The kids were all super excited to get to ride. Sooooo excited that Blesseddaddy's DD7 was bouncing around like a little hoppy toad! :bounce:I looked back at BD and he has a hankie up to his nose....Seems that somebody :rolleyes1 head butted him with the back of their bouncing little head. I don't know how but he just kept smiling, even laughing! I imagine that I would have been doubled over in pain but not him, just a Disney smile on his face and hankie to his nose:headache:
He managed to stop the bleeding and we had a great time riding BTMRR (I love this ride at night)! After the ride we chatted for a little bit, (I wish I had more time to talk to Tracy :guilty:)BD and family were heading over to Splash and we needed to head back to our resort for some rest. I wanted to make rope drop in the morning and I was the designated fast pass runner.......

Up Next: My first Epcot rope drop
:scared1:

OH NO!!! A bloody nose??
Oh and I meant to comment on the barf bag thing! :rotfl2::rotfl2: I told my DH about it and we had a good laugh, again! He said that if he heard your son, that would've made him sick. Your son must be quiet puker  if those people slept through that.

DH and I did rope drop at Epcot.....:scared1: is right thank goodness he kept a tight hold on my hand because several times I almost got "lost" in the crowd. Peolpe were very rude and even tried to cut between us. Helloooo holding hands, go around.:headache:

I do have to admit that when you were talking about bleeding earlier, I had truly forgotten that it was ME!! LOL I was wondering who Shocker had decked after we left each other's company?? I guess that is later in the trip, huh?????

Isn't Disney wonderful, you get a bloody nose, before you even make it on to the wildest ride in the wilderness!! Shucks after her bopping me so hard that it about knocked me out, the ride seemed pretty tame!! Of course it could have been that she truly had knocked me silly!! I will state for the record that I was proud that it was merely her hard head and NOT one of those FANCY LIGHT UP RINGS you gave her and her sister (which by the way, both girls LOVE....seems they are good to play with when we are suppose to be sleeping too and not just at parades and fireworks!! Thanks!!) I will also admit that it had been years since I got hit in the nose so hard that blood appeared....but I never saw it coming that Sunday night.....maybe I should be paying more attention to my "bouncing" girls instead of taking in all the sights and sounds of Disney on my next trip!! She was jumping, I was going down the ramp and boom.......after gathering my wits, I realized that it wasn't just a tap and that I was fixing to get blood everywhere if somebody didn't come up with a napkin or hankie or something quick!! I don't think Tracy even believed me at first or maybe it wasn't until she actually saw the blood that she realized I WASN'T kidding!! Also, did you notice that it didn't seem to slow Barrie Lee down any??? I DID!!!! I'm pretty sure that she even giggled a little bit!!! Good thing we were "AT" Disney World and there were other people there!!!

OH, I can't wait to hear about your experience at the rope drop at Epcot. I got into it and didn't even know I was!! LOL I thought the park was open when we arrived and when I rounded the corner headed toward Soaring, I couldn't figure out what was going on, by then it was too late!!!!! I truly can't wait to hear how a pro handled that situation!!!!!

Poor BD, he really took it like a man.:lmao: Sorry Chris, I know, not funny.:sad2:
Oh yes, we've had quite a few laughs about the barf bag. He is a quiet puker, it's kind of like a baby spitting up, then he spits and spits to get the tast out of his mouth......
.:confused3

Kind of like being smack dab in the middle of a stampede.......

Now I know there is no way that those darling girls would play with light-up rings when they are supposed to be sleeping. You MUST be telling stories!:rotfl2:
Shocker didn't hit anyone at Epcot but he certainly had a rude person moment!
:snooty:

sorry about the double post oops.

Feel free to double post anytime!:rotfl:

Oh the anticipation of waiting to hear about your experience at Epcot's Rope Drop and Shocker's rude moment is pure torture for me!!! I hope you have a peaceful weekend where you can update your trip report. I mean, I do understand that you want to draggggg it out until your next trip to Disney, but I am fixing to start fussing like Shocker does.......though I don't understand why he does......after all he knows what happened!!!! It's those of us that have been "teased" about it and then left in the dark that have a reason to fuss. I mean we are just waiting and waiting and waiting (can we use Fast Pass to find out???). J/K I will be patient and enjoy all the rampant thoughts that are going through my mind as to what "could" have happened!!

Also, please move my guess on the ADR change pool to 19.....I just feel a few extra changes coming in the Blizzard that was headed your way. I do hope that y'all faired well if the snows made it there and didn't get it too bad and if you did, at least got a snow day out of it!!

P.S. I would ask in chat, but can't ever seem to remember, what is does "subbing" mean on the boards?? I have read it a good bit when people are posting to other's threads, but for the life of me can't figure out what they are saying or meaning??

BD when someone is "subbing" that means they're subscribing to the topic so they can keep up with it.

but I am fixing to start fussing like Shocker does.......though I don't understand why he does......after all he knows what happened!!!!

That's just it.....I know what happened and I want to be able to share just a little of it. Being the weak, timid, shy, submissive husband that I am, I will continue to allow the aggressive, assertive, controlling wife of mine to have her way!

Wigd we are all witness to this and you have it in writing now. :cool1:

Thanks Jillyb for helping this new boy out.....I guess it is pretty obvious now that I know, but when I would come across it....I just couldn't figure it out!! For some reason, I had visions of people coming in and taking over the thread and subbing until the original poster had or found time to come back and UPDATE their thread. I guess I was sort of hoping that Shocker would come in and SUB for Wigd. and let us know all about the rope drop and incident in Norway at Epcot!!! Anyway, thank you for telling me what it was and for doing it in such a "timely" fashion.....it appears it could have been WEEKS before Wigd. got back to HER thread and explained it to me!!!!

Shocker if Wigd. doesn't update by the end of the weekend I say you need to steal her thread and clear your good name or dig a yourself in a little deeper, whichever the case may be???

Epcot update!

Today was our first full park day and we had high hopes of a couple of rides on Soarin'!
We got up early and I needed to change bags before heading to the bus stop!:goodvibes

When we arrived Epcot already had lines but we still had high hopes! I was the designated runner for the first set of fast passes, Marc and Baylor were planning on going over to Test Track for a quick ride and we would meet up there afterward. The race to The Land Pavilion was crazy but it was much easier to make it with just me zipping around the slow walkers to the fast pass lines. With the first set of fast passes in hand I met the guys at Test Track and we decided to ride it again since the wait was only about 10 minutes. While we were in line Baylor pointed out to me that there was a woman right across from us carrying a Vera Bradley bag..........:rotfl2: Hmmmm I wonder, what have I done to this boy? We get ready to ride and get the "flats" out for a quick picture!

and another of "flat Christian" with the Hummer.....

We headed over to Mission Space and had a successful mission to Mars. Then it was time to go back over to the land for our second set of Soarin' fast passes. We got there and it was just the right time so mission accomplished. We now have to sets of fast passes for our favorite Epcot ride! We then needed to head in the direction of World Showcase for our lunch reservation at Chefs. On our way we stopped at Innovations to get the scoop on the Kim Possible Adventure. We talked to the cast member and got a card to begin our adventure in Norway. We first needed to get to lunch....
It was delicious!

I had the French onion soup, salad, and Quiche...

The soup was "burnt my tongue hot"!

Salad and quiche yum!

Baylor had the burger and fries, (and I have no clue what Marc had)
But Baylor and I both had some strange plants in our salads.........

and then a delicious desert!

We were so excited to meet Remy!

With our bellies full, it was time to set off for Norway to ride the Maelstrom and try a Kim Possible adventure.........

Up next...........
Isn't Norway supposed to be a cold climate? :confused3Someone in our party has a meltdown :confused3

How many of you have excused rude behavior because the offender was elderly? :guilty:
Just keep that in mind as you read about "our adventure in Norway" and "the meltdown"! :furious:

Wigd,

Love your pictures! You changing your bag, that will so be me!
Baylor is such a cutie. Love the expression on his face with the salad.
Meeting the other DIS chatters must have been a treat. Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Loved, loved the pics. I thought I was bad, but I only take one bag with me..... guess I need to take a lesson from you!! The soup looked luscious and so did dessert....what was it?? Can't wait for more and to hear about Norway. My interest is peaked.
