A Wigdout Spring Break Adventure very short pre-trip report

We are home, downloading pictures and I'm gathering my thoughts to get this trip/pre-trip started........

It all starts with a very early morning......

I look forward to hearing about your trip! And the next one, and the next one, and...;)

The last load of laundry is in the dryer........
and I have one last Disney snack to get me started....

The macadamia nut praline from Goofy's!

As I said before, we had an early flight leaving from Wichita and had planned to wake-up to the alarm at 3:45 am. I didn't get to bed quite as early as I had planned but no problem we are going to Disney World! I think I went to bed a little after 10:00 and went right to sleep...ZZZZZ Then beep, beep, beep.....I look at the clock and it's 1:00 am, beep, beep, beep, I wake Marc, "what is that beeping"? He gets up and checks because it's not coming from our room, it seems that Baylor has attempted to set his own alarm and didn't get it quite right. Marc shuts it off and comes back to bed and we are again in the land of nod when it starts again! Beep, beep, beep, I look at the clock and now it's 1:15! :confused3 So Marc gets up again and this time gets it to shut off. :thumbsup2 All the while Baylor is sleeping peacefully with visions of BTMRR dancing in his head:rotfl:

Back to sleep and before I know it, our alarm sounds off and it's time to rise and shine!

Like I said before, We are Going to Disney World!:goodvibes

It's still dark when we get to the airport, here are a couple of pics of us and the "flats" at the airport.

We notice that the flight has been overbooked and then Marc tells me that our seats are not together. I figure, no troubles because we can get them switched up at the counter.......wrong:sad2: .........Baylor seems OK with the fact that I'm on his row just with two people and an aisle between us. I'm actually thinking that perhaps someone sitting between us would enjoy my window seat and let me sit by Baylor, so when we get seated I tell him in a not too quiet voice to locate the barf bag just in case he needs it ...... not a single taker, the lady next to him by the window just looks at me and asks " does he get air sick"? I told her that yes he does especially during landings. She does not offer to switch seats so I figure she gets what she gets. She and Baylor actually hit if off quite well (it turns out that she knows someone that Baylor knows so they are like long lost friends, more about her later.....) and off we gooooo! I don't hear a peep from him, he appears to be sleeping or talking to his friend when I glance his way through out the flight. We land in Atlanta and are walking off of the plane when he tells us that BOTH of his neighbors slept through his vomit trouble:scared1: .
Then Marc asks what he did with the bag because we knew nothing of the illness, and he said that he put it back in the seat pocket..........at this point I don't know whether to laugh or cry...:guilty: :lmao: :guilty:

Oh gosh I love it. Baylor and I would get along GREAT.

HI Anita, Lisa here from the share. I wanted to let you know I have signed on for your trip report, and to let you know it was really great to meet you. I will send you copies of our pictures. Also wanted to let you know my son thought Baylor was the best! Keep up the great report, I love the pedicure, just saw it!

The flight to Orlando was uneventful, I sat next to Baylor and we had no more of this vomit nonsense :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

The lines for ME were very long, the longest I have ever seen but it's just noon and we don't have an ADR until 5:00 so I'm content to watch the people around us and wait.......

About an hour later we arrive at Old Key West, this is our second stay at this resort and although it's a bit old I do love it there, especially in the Hospitality House area, and yea our room is just across the street from the Hospitality House, we have our KTTWC and off we go!

We get to the room and it smells really strong of a febreeze type smell, uh oh not happy with smells like that, Baylor kicks his crocks off and immediately announces that the carpet is soaking wet:scared1: and then Marc looks in the bathroom, it's a wheelchair accessible bathroom, which means no tub for me........ So back we go to the Hospitality House, (gee I'm glad we were so close) to let them know that I would be needing a room with a tub. That was quickly taken care of so off we went to retrieve our carry on luggage that we had left in the room, stop by the Hospitality House and retrieve our purple locker and head over to the new room, just across the bridge from the Hospitality House and near the first bus pick-up point!
Here are a few pictures that I snapped of OKW.....

We got in our room, our groceries were delivered and it was time to catch the bus to make it to our Whispering Canyon dinner then off to MK for our first DIS meet of the trip!
We took a bus to the transportation center, then a boat to MK, then another boat to WCC. I will admit, I forgot to take pictures of our food:sad2: . This is a really fun place to eat but I wouldn't go back for the world class food. I almost got the skillet but then decided on the meatloaf, Marc had the salmon (I think) and Baylor had the roasted chicken. Our service was on the slow side so I was very antsy that we wouldn't get to MK on time. We hit the MK entrance and I was trucking right down the middle of main street USA and it was crowded, I didn't want Blessedaddy and Flchick to think we weren't coming! We made it to The Swiss Family Robinson tree house just a couple of minutes late but they were there waiting for us!:yay:
What a great time we had!
Here's our spot for Spectro!

After the parade, we moved down the street for a better view of "Wishes" and it was fabulous! Blessedadddy's girls seemed to be mesmerized, it was a magical moment, we have a terrific view.
After "Wishes" we said our goodbyes to Chickie (she had to work the next morning) and we headed over with the gang to ride BTTMRR.

Up next: Excuse me, but are you bleeding?

Oh, I am so excited that you are coming home so we can hear all about your trip!!! :goodvibes
I can't say that I'm exactly excited to be back but starting the trip report/pre-trippie is fun!
I look forward to hearing about your trip! And the next one, and the next one, and...;)

Welcome Home!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Glad you are home! Cannot wait to hear about your trip!
It was over way too soon, but was fun.....most of the time...:rolleyes1
Oh gosh I love it. Baylor and I would get along GREAT.
Are you a puker too?:sad2:

The vomit story just cracked me right up. Hehehe. :rotfl2:

I saw that wonderful Spectro picture of Mary Poppins! Yay! I can't believe I missed her Spectro before, I am going to have to fix that in May. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure just what I am allowed to post here because I do not want to rain on Anita's parade.....I must admit that I was very very patient at least some of the time....I'm sure she will mention my little explosion at the Norway gift shop.....Do I always have to remember that everyone at Disney is here for their first and onlytrip and I am to excuse all their rude behavior?

blesseddaddy, I have already lost track of the number of changes wigd has already made on our May/June adrs......I believe your baker's dozen number will be way low!

Yep, I saw her and thought of you! And I will admit that I didn't feel bad about that used vomit bag left on the airplane, that's what they get when they seat children without a parent.....:rotfl2:
