A Voyage of Firsts! The WONDERful Journey North: LA-Vancouver-Alaska, 4/27-5/10 2011

I can't say much, but I attended a national WW meeting last week. Big and wonderful changes are coming.

Ooohhh this sounds very exciting. I understand that you can't talk about it yet, but I'm curious and can't wait to see what it's all about. I'm not giving up. I just have to start over. Well, I did manage to keep 20 lbs. off so I'll be working on the next 20 to get back to where I was before I went off the plan....and then I'll continue from there.

Oooooooh, I'm intrigued! Can't wait to hear! I'm trying to start all over, so it sounds like it's good timing.

Deb, great job for keeping 20 off! I regained everything and then some. It's an awful feeling. You should be proud for not gaining it all back!

Thanks Holly. We'll both start over together. I'm not starting until after I get back from my October vacation now. Then I'll stick with the plan through the holidays and NOT get a Godiva chocolate cake for my birthday this year.

Southwest Air apparently opened up thru 4/25. I'm not flying till 4/26...right Monica...the day BEFORE the cruise? And we're on the Queen Mary the night of the 26th?

I was able to book SW the morning they opened up for 4/24 I will be flying out of Detroit. I also was able to take advantage of a half off special price on my shuttle to Detroit. I may not make it home but I'm good to go

I remember looking at that a long time ago. Can't remember why I thought there was some issue with it (not running the day we are there or something)....but I could be mis-remembering... (Maybe I disregarded it becuase I was worried about money and figured the whale watching was more important to me.)

On the day that you are in port, we will have two departures (8:15 A.M. and 12:45 P.M.) of our White Pass Summit Excursion, which is a 40-mile round trip train ride into the mountains. This is a 3-hour fully narrated train ride, and the cost is $112 for adults and $56 for children. We will begin taking reservations in November, and we look forward to seeing you in 2011!"

The schedule says we are in port from 7:15am - 7:30. Do you think I could make the 8:15am ride?

It would be cutting it very close. It would be prudent to add time until they actually allow people to get off the ship.

Not what I wanted to hear! They do pick you up at the port so that would save some time........ I'll have to call them and get more info.

It really comes down to when DCL lets us off the ship and the crowd getting off.

I've looked longingly at it a few times. If I were cruising without Tyler, I'd definitely do it.

I'll book my Tue 4/26 flight tonight. Think I'll get in around 6:20PM...plenty of time to head to the Queen Mary in time for dinner!
