A Very Chit-Chat Thread

Thanks! Maybe I will post over there. Just didn't want people to think I was a crazy mother or anything for asking the question, lol. It's good to know you've seen some people do it though.

I don't have a wrap, but I do have one of those carriers that you put on so he is strapped to your chest (or back when he's older).

I've definitely seen people take their young ones to the parks.. I think everyone has different opinions on the proper age to take a child to the parks and you may hear some of that when you post but hopefully you will also get some helpful advice!

You're not crazy - you aren't the first person to take an infant. You may get the idiots who ask why not wait until he's older, but if you have the opportunity, why not? Especially since you have 3 glorious years befor you have to pay for him.

Maybe just post for suggestions on what you can take him on rather than those two specifically? Did you do a search to see if maybe someone started a thread like that before?

That's a good idea. I already posted asking if people think its ok to. Probably get some dumb answers on that one! And yeah, why not introduce him to rides early? Means when he is older, hopefully he will be brave enough to try things without being too scared.

It's just that some people are really sensitive about the subject of children, it's hard to know what boundaries are sometimes!

I didn't notice the ads in the middle when I am at home. I've noticed them at work when I wasn't logged in though... I guess I just scroll right past?!?

My first answer is a positive! She said there arent many rides infants can't go on (although I can think of a handful or two!) and people take their babies on quite a few. This day at DL could be really fun!

My only thought is to be sure and use hats. Plus sunscreen if you can.

Yeah we will be bringing the stroller and keeping him covered most of the time with that. Plus we actually have a cute Mickey hat for him to wear. Hopefully it fits him by then! Apparently you are not supposed to put sunscreen on until 6 months, so we will just have to keep him covered well.

Yeah, the reason I offer this advice is because I have been to the parks and seen some terribly sunburned kids.

Oh yes! I always forget about that one. I am thinking almost anything with a boat might be calm enough for him.

Andrea... almost anything without a height restriction I think is open game... I would want to stick to things without loud noises or jerky movements though!

I was thinking how sad it was that Great Moments With Mr Lincoln is out because of the cannons because it is a great place to cool off. Of course that doesn't leave out just visiting the lobby to cool of and check out the displays.

Ugh, I need to vent for a second. I can't help how frustrated I get over my sister right now. It's like were held to a totally different standard and it's just frustrating. I know it's not my place to judge her on it - I'm still at home for crying out loud, but I bought my car, I pay my own bills, I've been working steadily since I graduatec, etc. - but she was supposed to get a job for the summer and instead she's off in SoCal visiting her boyfriend for the second time this mont and decided she's not coming home for yet another week. Then she says "Well, I havent found a job" but of course she isn't here when they call her back for an interview. She owes our parents thousands of dollars and nobody bats an eyelash (I doubt they'll ever have her pay themb ack), give her gas money to go down, food money, cigarette money, plus she has a credit card in her name from there account. It's just grating. And then I get occasional digs about finding a new job and ever since I graduated if I borrowed money I was expected to pay them back in a timely fashion, not racking it up over the years. If I even express a hint of annoyance about it, I get talked to like I'm a horrible person. Sometimes it makes me want to never look back once I do move out. I know it's petty but still. I gave her a call today to see if she would be home for dinner since she was supposed to drive home from LA today. I don't even know why I bothered.

Oh Jess! That has to be so aggravating!! And Cigarette Money?!?! That is awful! Unfortunately I have no words of wisdom on how to make it better but.. to you!

Oooh! The train and monorail would be fun!

Sorry, that really seems unfair. Do you think maybe it's because they know you are the responsible one that they don't treat you the same? That is the only thing I can think of.
