Hi all. I hope that this post is in the right place!

We will be leaving on Aug. 6 for a week at a resort in Kissimmee and then checking into a Disney resort on Aug. 14 through the 20th. We currently have 6 day park tickets. I just showed my kids the Disney video and when they realized that there are cool water parks there, they immediately asked if we could go. I'm wondering what my options are...

If I add the water park option on, then are we able to go to a water park in lieu of a park sometime during the week that we're at the Disney resort for the $52.xx extra per person? Would we be able to do this just one day or more? Perhaps we could go to 1 park a day and then 2 days at a water park... I am thinking that it might be a restful break in the middle of the week.

Am I able to add this option on and go to a water park that first week that we're at the non-Disney resort? Would it be a one day thing or more? I'm looking to see what the better deal is and what the possibilities are.

If we do not add the water park option on as it can only be used the week that we're staying at the Disney resort, then is there more than a 1 day water park ticket that we can purchase separately that first week?

Thank you!!

1- If I add the water park option on, then are we able to go to a water park in lieu of a park sometime during the week that we're at the Disney resort for the $52.xx extra per person? Would we be able to do this just one day or more? Perhaps we could go to 1 park a day and then 2 days at a water park... I am thinking that it might be a restful break in the middle of the week.

3- is there more than a 1 day water park ticket that we can purchase separately that first week?

Thank you!!

1- Yes (except the price is now $55 per ticket, plus tax.)

2- If you already have your tickets in-hand, you can just go to a Disney Water Park gate and add on the WP option
on-the-spot.

If your tickets are part of a WDW PACKAGE, you can pick up your Package Tickets up to 3 days in advance.
When you do, you can add the Water Parks Fun and More at that time. (See link and info below.)

3- Not economically, no.

Ok I'll try to explain this

1. you can add the WPF&M option to your tickets for I think its now $55 per ticket. For a 6 day ticket, it gives you an additional 6 admissions to the water parks, Disney Quest and/or a 9 hole round of golf. It does not use up a park day to go to a water park. You also do not need Park hopping to go to a major park and a wp in one day. Also if you go to two WPF&M places in one day it uses two admissions.

2 see above

3. you could do that, but I find a WP to be more exhausting then a regular park but thats just me.

4, If your tickets are part of your package you can pick them up before hand and start using them for anything. You then have 14 days before they expire.

5. there are WP AP's

You should read this sticky as it will give you much more info.

Here is an idea...buy the length of stay pass for Wet N Wild. Its 47.95 and good for unlimited use for 14 days...so the entire time you are in FL...

I have only been to Wet N Wild once 22 years ago and loved it. But just thought I would throw this idea at you.

Thought it was weird 1 day tix were the same as the 14 day ones but whatever...

Wonder if its this price to counter the WPF&M price of $55.

You cannot compair Wet and Wild to the Disney parks. Hands down Disney is better.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

The Disney water parks are amazing. If you plan another trip in the next 12 months it may be worth it to get a water park AP, otherwise your best bet probably is the water park and more add on option to your MYW ticket. You can also do Disney Quest and mini golf then.

If you want to go to a water park before you go to any theme parks and also you bought/ordered your regular Magic Your Way ticket before June 12 or bought it from another ticket agency then you may run into a catch 22. Adding water park fun to an unused ticket will cost you (approx.) the difference between what you paid and the current selling price of the regular ticket on top of the $55. plus tax water park fun. And you can't commence use the theme park ticket without water park fun at a water park for the purpose of elevating its value to current price. Finally, if you modify your package to put the water park fun on the tickets now, then the tickets will be repriced at post-June 12 rates.

But there is a limited way around that. You can do one water park visit before going to theme parks using a separate water park ticket. Then for more water park visits after at least one theme park visit, you take the spent water park ticket, your now partially used regular ticket, and about nine dollars and you can add the water park fun to your regular ticket. Since you check in on August 14, the earliest you can pick up your tickets that go with the resort package is August 11.

You can also apply a (just one) spent water park ticket towards a water park only annual pass or water park / Disney Quest annual pass. These are not valid for golf.

Water park fun for golf can only be used at Oak Trail. Not mini-golf.

But there is a limited way around that. You can do one water park visit before going to theme parks using a separate water park ticket.

Yes. If you only want to go to 1 water park (BB or TL, not both), you can buy a one day pass for less than the cost of adding the WPF&M option. However, if you want to go to more than one water park, or Disney Quest, or golf, then it is more economical to buy the option. You also can occasionally find slightly discounted one-day tickets to BB/TL at ticketsatwork.com if you're company gives you access to that. (There may be other places where you can get this discount too... this is just one I've seen myself.)

Have a great trip! :thumbsup2
