Completely not related, but conversation with DD10 this week...(note: I'm in my late 40s)

DD: Mama, how did you talk to your friends when you were a teenager and on vacation?
Me: I didn't
DD: Why not?
Me: We did not have cell phones, texting, internet...
DD: Oh. (pause). How did it feel to grow up in the era of nothingness?
