A Two Short, Too Different Spring Break Trip (Time to Say Goodbye)

I thought of you all today when I read about Huntsville! Hope they get this all contained before it is time for all of our summer treks to Disney! Such a shame about the nap :(.

I will try and get some zoo pics up later today. Brooklynn had a dentist appt. this morning (no cavities and her two broken front teeth still look good) and then we ran and got some groceries. Came home and ate lunch and now she is asking to go to sleep so I think I'm going to feed Bella and then we are all going to curl up and take a long nap together.

uuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

:laundy::grouphug:pirate::cool1::banana::thumbsup2

I hope the zoo pictures turn out good.
Drew had all my batteries, so no camera for me. I wouldn't have been able to take pictures and watch students anyway.

Oooh a nap sounds good to me!

Did you have a nap before your interview? And maybe celebration cookies and milk after?

Maybe when we finally move back to florida and i work at disney again maybe i'll look into that. either way i want to work at disney again.

your nature pictures were spectacular! looks professional.

congrats on your ADR's.

i really hope that i'll be able to be in florida at the same time as you guys.

jill enjoy your nap with yout 2 little princesses

If you start a travel agency, maybe I can work for you!

I just get lucky on pictures, but thanks.

I hope you will be down there, too. Maybe your dad will let us ride Toy Story enough times to make Jill happy.

I can't WAIT!!! I of course would like to ride HM but it's not a must on that day. I will prob get to do it enough throughout the week. I just want to see the Castle

As far as I know that's it....just let me know whatever you guys decide is fine. You can just call or send me a text when you know what you are going to do. I'll get to see you sometime soon!

Not positive about the 6-20 mtg. We'll see what's going on closer to time :upsidedow Maybe Dawn could plan to come up that weekend :yay:

We'll touch base Saturday when we see how the little ones are doing after the party. The big ones may be worn out, too. ;)

I hope you make it to the RFC Hippo meet!

Jill, Brooklynn, and Bella have a good nap and I look forward to the zoo pictures.:surfweb:

Must be nice to be home in the middle of the day to take a nap.

Now that doesn't sound like a busy day at all. Enjoy the nap time.

I can't believe you don't think doing laundry, having a group hug, playing pirates, dancing all over the place, and then putting your thumb up isn't a day's work! Didn't you pay any attention to Brooklynn's post???

Jill,
How scary about the outbreak.

BTW any good tips for taking a little one to WDW during the summer? I am starting to think about Luke and his needs and want to be prepared. I have never had a less than one year old there in the heat

Have a lot of grown-ups to pass the baby around to. :goodvibes

Caleb and I are home sick today and I took naps when he took his two today...man that felt great. I think naps like 2 hr ones need to happen at work! :rotfl: Hope you all had a great nap!

I hope you are both feeling better.

LOL!! It won;t be the last thing they come up with together either...:rotfl: Sorry you didn;t get your nap...I'm sure you could use it!

In other news...I just got my first pin code today!! Too bad its not for when I want to go! Lets hope they send me more!

That is too bad that you can't take advantage of the code.
I'd be happy to get one but sad not to be able to use it.
Maybe they've got you on a list now and you'll get more in the future.

Maybe if we quit going all the time they'd do something to entice us to come!

We've got a lot of kids from Mexico in our school, and several of them have traveled there recently. They've put out health bulletins for us to wash hands constantly. Hopefully, they'll get it controlled before it gets too widespread.

Morning MeMom!
Great pics - I LOVE the pictures of Pop first thing in the morning! It looks so quiet, calm & peaceful and I can imagine it'd be one of our regular sights as hubby and I are both early risers! IF I can ever get another trip booked!!! Mind you, early rising could change with a baby could it?!?!? :rotfl:
IF this baby ever decides to get out! 1-week late today!

I started to PM you yesterday, just knowing you were in bed with a new baby!

I hope the name you have chosen means I'll do things in my own good time. :rotfl:

Maybe tomorrow, while we're having our Disney Day party, you'll be having a Disney Baby Day at your house!!!

How long will your doctor let you go before inducing?

Your plans will revolve around what that little one decides you'll do from now on, but your next trip will be your best ever because of him/her. :wizard:

Or, if you are my youngest son.....

because of it.

Tell this baby we're all waiting, and that there a lot of little Dis friends ready to come out and play whenever he's/she's ready.

Good luck in the next few days. It's going to be any minute now.
My grandmother kept calling me and telling me to take castor oil and orange juice with Jill, and I did it to satisfy her.
I would never do that again! I was young and stupid at the time.
To this very day, real orange juice evokes memories of drinking blobs of oil floating around in thick juice. It makes me sick to even think about it as I write it.

Let us know when you're going to the hospital so we can pace at our houses in honor of this much anticipated baby!

The thought of castor oil really makes me feel icky - isn't there a scene in the film "Stand by Me" where a kid drinks a load of it and eats raw eggs, then enters a pie eating contest, wins and then is sick all over the crowd for revenge for something?!?! I am sure I've seen that and not dreamed it! I know a few girls who have tried it but I'm not sure its helped!!!

My induction is set for next Wednesday, but we are being very cheeky and telling our friends and family its Friday so we can still surprise them with the baby's arrival and also avoid a million calls and texts asking for updates. I know an induction can take a little longer you see and the last thing we'll want is people pestering us!!! So we're just telling parents & siblings the real truth!!!

At least we know a week today our baby will be here!!! :yay:

But I'd do anything for him / her to come naturally. The group of girls from my antenatal class have all had their babies now (except the twin Mummy who is not due until the end of May) and most of them were not natural births / the births they had planned because their babies appeared to have other ideas! I'd just love our baby to come as we have planned - a nice water birth!

I bet its a girl - stubborn like its Mummy!!!

I will keep you posted with any news and our hospital has fancy internet ports so if they work, I will try and come online to share the news when I have a quiet few minutes! You know, during non visiting hours when my good baby is asleep!!!

Ditto on the castor oil. Don't do it...that's to everyone out there comtemplating using it to speed up a delivery. It probably won't work, and it's not worth it, even if it does!!! :sad2:

Best of everything from all of us around here, DisneyJoo!

MeMom have a good day at school today. It's Friday! Disney party tomorrow.:cool1:

It is Friday.
And it's PAYDAY Friday!:cool1:
Not that I get to keep any of it, but it's still cool.

Happy Friday MeMom!!!!!! :wave2:

Same to you and yours!

It's an overcast yet pretty morning here, although it has been raining. I am hoping the rain comes and then moves on out before tomorrow. If we could at least have ten minutes of the party be dry to go out in the yard and do the safari, I'll be happy.

The rumor mill has been running rampant around our school all week as the word of teachers leaving and moving has spread. My team teacher and I had not heard anything from any authority figure, so we just listened and ignored, even though some of it was about us.

Yesterday, we were asked to come to the principal's office. :scared1: He talked to us about the moves we had been requesting. He said he really hated to lose us in thrid grade because our scores had consistently been the best, but he understood that we needed a break, and he thought we deserved it. He said we would most likely both be moving to second, but there was a slight chance one would move to second and the other to first. The other teacher prefers second, and I don't care either way, so if the 1st/2nd deal comes through, I'll take that spot. He's pretty sure he's going to put both of us in 2nd, though, so that we can lay a good foundation for the 3rd grade teachers who later receive our kids. This has lifted a huge weight from my life. I can't even imagine what it is going to be like next year when TCAP rolls around and I'm not 'stressed to the max'.

Anyway, that's my news for today. More news is that my girls will be back tonight and we'll party tomorrow.

Have a Friendiferous Friday, friends! :tigger:

Hope you get what your looking for MeMom. Teaching is less stressful when you are in a class that you want to be in.

btw - we are at the 100 day mark today so I decided it it was time for a pre-trip report.

Well MeMom that news deserves a party:. I am so happy for you that you get a break. I was just wondering when you would hear if you were going to get moved.

Payday Fridays are the best, for about 5 mins you have money in the hand.:goodvibes

Great news about the 1st/2nd deal. I am sending best wishes that you and the other teacher get to stay together. It is one less thing to get used to at the beginning of the year if you know your team teachers teaching style.

I am also saying rain rain go away come back another day for you tomorrow.

Such wonderful news from the principal MeMom!!! I had goosebumps reading that!

Kudos to your principal to care more about his teachers than good scores.

Brooklynn is playing in the kitchen and Isabella is in her swing so I am grabbing the few quiet minutes to post zoo pictures.

The girls and I arrived at the zoo at about 8:45. MeMom said they were planning on arriving between 9:00 and 9:15 so our timing was perfect. I fed Isabella and changed her diaper and then got the double stroller out. This was the first time I had used it so it took a minute to figure it all out. Brooklynn wanted to sit in the back and got mad when I told her no because that is where Isabella's car seat attached. Once she found out the front seat had a sunshade too she was fine to sit up there. (She figured out the sunshade keeps the sun out of your face when we were in Disney in October. She would adjust the shade as the sun came up or went down and now in the car she asks us to put the sunshade (visors) down when the sun gets n her face.) We joined MeMom's class when they arrived at about 9:30. They went over the rules and passed out the tickets and then it was time to see some animals.

Bella had her sun hat on (it swallows her tiny head!) and snoozed in the stroller.

Brooklynn watched for MeMom's school bus.

Brooklynn insisted on walking like the big kids.

Brooklynn was very excited to see the giraffes.

Brooklynn was so excited to ride the carousel (It's really a merry go round because it has different animals) She picked MeMom's favorite - a zebra.

Well, Brooklynn is now harassing the dog and Isabella is crying due to all the noise her big sister and the dog are making. I have laundry to do and dishes to wash, and I have to pack for this weekend. Maybe the girls will cooperate today and take their naps at the same time. It is raining here so maybe Brooklynn will take a good long nap. I hope my sanity lasts until then!

Love the leopard picture and who is that with Brooklynn on the Merry-go Round?

Have you considered NyQuil for nap time assistance? ;)

Jill great update on the zoo, the pictures were great. The zoo looked like fun, and more fun tomorrow with the Disney party. Sending Sunshine your way for tomorrow.

Cloudy weather makes for a good napping day, so best wishes today.

Great pictures at the zoo... Isabella is sooo cute and Brooklynn is such a little lady.. I love how you added a semi hidden Memom. Happy Friday!

Brooklynn came into the living room with her backpack on and a baby in her arms. She told me she is leaving. I asked her where she was going and she said "Tennessee" So if you are on 65 and see a small blond in only Sleeping Beauty panties with a Magic Kingdom backpack that contains one can of soup, a flip flop, and a stuffed Minnie Mouse carrying a baby doll could you please return her home to Alabama or if your headed north drop her off at MeMom's.

great zoo pics and love the hidden memom pic! Glad you had a good time at the zoo...My SIL has the summer off since she works for the zoo so she got season passes for the zoo and she and my mil are taking the kids this summer. I told them that was fine but we have to go on a weekend too so I can go...I think Caleb will really enjoy the animals!
