A Turbo Tax deal

The last few years I have just bought the Turbo Tax basic version. It is about $10 less than the deluxe version. Since my taxes are about the same every year I don't need any of the features that the deluxe provides.

Doesn't the deluxe give you the state income tax forms? And the basic doesn't?

To me, I think my state taxes are a lot harder than the federal taxes (here in Kentucky, you itemize deductions based on the percentage of each married couple's income). So I'd rather pay the extra $10 to buy the deluxe.

The way I read it you don't have to put the full amount onto the card. I thought it could be split---like put $500 on the card.

You are correct. I just filed my taxes and the offer allows you to choose any amount up to the full amount of your federal refund.

Does Amazon let you buy gift cards with gift cards?

Yes, but then I usually use those gift cards to buy other gift cards with which I buy gift cards. Pretty simple.

That might be true. I looked on their website and it didn't say anything about state taxes. In Washington there is no state income tax so never I have to file state taxes.

neither does for free if you use the online version. Download version includes a state in your price. There is also the freedom version which may give you a free state depending on your income
