A trip in July.. hmm, what will it be like???? with pics

So the others decided to skip AK and go to MK.

First they went on peter pan but no pics.

then they went on IASW.

Then JM went to try on hats.

Then they went to see Philharmagic (I am so jealous I wanted to see this and never did. Biff still says he never got to see it and he wanted to very badly).

On the way out they saw this.

So now DZ and JM are going back tot he resort to relax and Bip and LL head over to Epcot cause LL has never been.

Ok so now I will stop again.

Next up. swimming, a storm, muddy Rivers bar (yum) then a Safari.

Hi Scott. I just found your trip report and I absolutely love it. My DD5 and I just looked at every picture you have posted. Neither of us have been to Disney World and we are starting to plan our vacation for our family next May. My DD is making a list of the rides you took pictures of and putting a box with a check if she is riding and a box with an X if she is not. Nope he became a baby. I loved it. Not as good as TOT but my 2nd favorite.

Thank you. I'm glad you r both enjoying it. You will have a blast. it is a little overwhelming at first but just soak it all in and enjoy.

We were all disappointed by him. I loved the Tigers but they were hot so they all hid in the shade. She definitely liked other rides better. JM is not a thrill ride person, I blame her mother cause DZ is afraid of rides so she is passing that along to Jm.

I found your trip report this morning, and have done nothing else but read the whole thing. I absolutely loved it. I'm sad it will end tomorrow. The pictures are awesome, and I don't think you can ever post too many. I took my son for his first trip last dec, and most of my pics have him or other family in them. I wish I had taken more pics of the scenery and rides like you did. I'm really enjoying yours.
Little JM is a cutie. My family went to disney in 1995 when my first and only nephew at the time was 5. There were 5 adults and 1 kid, and it was perfect because my mother would be exhausted most night and stay at the hotel with the kid and my brother and sisters and I would head out to pleasure island.

So we get back to POR by 12:30 and we all change into out bathing suits. We head over to the quiet pool and it is not too busy. I cannot believe I am going to post this.

The entire time MZ and I played with JM.

Biff is always ready for a pic of himself.

DZ just relaxing.

So we get out at 2:30 and DZ and JM head back to there room to relax and see if Bip and LL came back. EZ, MZ and me go to "Muddy Rivers" the poolside bar by Ole Man Island.
Biff said he was going back to the room but decided to go back to the quiet pool.
So we had a nice table next to the pathway to AB when darkness happened. the skies opened up. Thunder and lightning and lots of rain. We move over to the bar. We all had a margarita compliments of MZ. When we moved to the bar it was time for another so I had a Southern Hurricane. MMMMMMM. It was really good.
Now DZ calls and asks if we heard from Bip and I say no and by this time it is 3:30 and we were supposed to be meeting at 4:30.
3:45 the rain lets up and we go back to the room. I shower and call DZ who informs me they r back. new time to meet is 5. It turns out they made it back to the resort right when the storm hit so they went to River Roost the inside bar at POR.
5 pm we now all meet in front of our door and here JM with her princess hair she bought.

ok enough photos let's go.

We waited a few minutes and the bus came. Off we go. Our final night at Disney.

So we get there and proceed through the gate and Bip gets JM a stroller.

We come across this.

Then we walk over and see this.

You can never tire of being amazed by seeing it.

So we go walking off to

to see Pocahontas. Oops, turned out it was a show and it was just letting out.

this bench has a bite if you sit wrong. LOL

This is too cute.

Ok so we cannot see her so we head over to Flight of Wonders for our Safari Dinner.

I just L-O-V-E your tr.... its great.. the pics, the story, the pics.... everything is well done! Dont you just love the resort... we stayed there on our last trip(in the same mansion) & thought it was amazing.
Question for ya: where did you get that basket made up for jm? and when you went to boatrights, you said you requested a special menu... was that for food allergies or just for it being her first time there?

Flights of Wonder that is what we want.

it was really hot on this evening. I wore the wrong shirt. So they open up Flight of Wonder for us and we proceed in. We are part of the giraffes group.

Our tour guide. he was very nice and good.

Then "Mama" came out and explained some things and talked to us. Then she called out group names to go to back and proceed to the safari. here is Mama.

We were the third ones called.
LL, DZ and JM went into the bathroom and we proceeded to be led away to the safari.

So we passed the restaurant where we will be eating.

Then we get to

next up are the pics of the animals we saw. I was disappointed I wanted to see more.

I was so mad we missed a hippo trying to eat a bird by 5 seconds. We came around the bend and he was closing his mouth.

Then we proceeded through the rest of the Safari and got a few tidbits about the park. overall nice just would have liked to have seen more animals and not just there butts.

Hi there NYC'R. it is hot here. I am glad you woke up early too, I enjoy people reading my report. Thank you. It was a great resort. I cannot give enough praise.
The basket was from
www.memoriesbysarah.com.
now I believe I heard she closed and gave it to her friend. I could not have been any happier with the basket. JM loved it and really thought it was from Mickey.
i called them 4 days before we arrived (suggest that it should be 2 - 4 weeks in advance) and asked them for a menu for a first time visit. They did the rest with balloons and the Mickey pic and autograph. I could not have been any happier with what she got. Thanks again for reading.

I'm amazed by the number of photos you have posted. I know that a few were shot by others such as the photos from MK when you were at AK (if I remember correctly), but how many did you shoot with your camera? I shot a little over 1000 myself and used about half of those in my trip report. Of course, I'll be adding pics from the others in our group and some PhotoPass pics eventually.

Ok so we get off the Safari and proceed over to Tusker House for dinner.

So we sit at the 2nd table with our name on it. Nice that it is all planned out for you.
The food is waiting for us. Salad and bread and cucumber and tomato salad. That was delicious.

In the corner when we first walked in these guys were playing.

Then he came out to play for us.

some of us all around the table.

Now for dinner they brought out some chicken (yuck), prime rib (this was good) and the best thing was the Lamb stew. oh my god it was delicious. Salmon was brought out but I did not try it.

Then Chip and Dale came out and they went to the entryway for a meet and greet.

I stood in line for a pic but then 20 kids came up so I got off thinking they deserved it more than me.

Ok more table shots.

Now it is my turn. Me and my gangsta chipmunks.

Towards the end of the evening they bring all the kids over to the corner where the band was and had them play drums.

So now dessert is out and it is a chocolate cake and a bunch of pastries. The cake was delicious. Did not try the pastries but EZ did and said they were very good.

Dinner is over at 9 and they herd us out the door to a dark empty park.

Every where along the way CM'S were lined up so you don't go off path and try to see other parts of the Park.

The tree lit up. Not good pics at all.

Then we see this.

So we proceed to the bus and head back to the resort. Now it is a EMH night at MK and Biff and I were going to go but booze sounded better. We got back to POR and DZ and JM went to bed and the rest of us went to River Roost. I had a Mai Tai (yuck) then I had a green Apple drink. It was really like a green apple. It was delicious. Then we went back to the rooms to sleep and go back to new York City.

Too much. I was worried about that. I took about 1000. I did shoot 1500 but i deleted about 500 of them

day today as we get ready to leave.

We have to be at the ME at 9:30 so we all meet @ 8 and do the airline check in. This was so easy and so quick it was great. Before this Biff walked up to the bell service desk outside and asked where to put the bags. The cm was a little snippy and said they will hold bags over there and points. Biff says he is leaving and where to check in the bags and then she pointed and very abruptly points inside and says goes in there. He looked at her and said "you r the 1st negative thing here at Disney, thanks for ruining my memory" and walked away. I guess he didn't like her attitude.
To this day he still talks about her.

So after we all check in and then check out at the front desk we go in and have breakfast at the food court. I had a sausage and pepper omelet with swiss and cheddar cheese. MMM. delicious. So we all sat around talking about the good times we had.
I said I want to come back when I lose 50 lbs. Ll looks at Bip and says "we are now starving him" I guess LL had a great time. She looks forward to going back.
We then proceed to the ME and they play the goodbye video and it was sad.
the airport was no problem. We got on the plane and then we sat on the runway for 10 minutes cause NYC was delaying us.
We took off and DZ took this of JM.

When we got to Virginia NYC put us on holding pattern. Going around in circles. i did not like this.

Then after 3 go arounds we r off again. Baltimore again a holding pattern, 2 times we go around.
Then we get to jersey i guess and i more time around. Now we go and land at laGuardia.
We all say our goodbyes and Biff and I wait for our car. A car pulls up with Scott on a card and Biff says to get in. I said no the car number is 375 not my name. we put luggage in trunk and sit down and Biff says the address and the guy says no, not us. I told him it was wrong but he is so gung ho and full steam ahead without questioning anything.

So we then get the correct car and go home.

I cannot wait to go again next year. It will definitely be a longer visit and at a better time of the year.

it was short but so worth it. Better than nothing at all.
It seems to be getting worse with the delays here in NYC.
