OK maybe it was the rain, that kept some folks away, maybe it was the fact that I had been up since 3am and was pretty much running on fumes, maybe it was the other things that were going on in the hotel that night but . . . . . that was the least fun pin meet I've ever attended.

I had been to one prior pin meet at the Contemporary back in November. That one was small enough that I felt welcomed and not intimidated. I was looking forward to the same experience this trip. Sad to say it was a completely different story. I did trade with several people but most of them were first timers to the meet. I had to ask everyone there names. No one seemed to recognize my DIS, seal of peachident or Dizneypins pin. I felt like a stranger in a strange land and I felt intimidated (not a feeling I am used to).

On a brighter note, my daughter had a wonderful time in the kids section and would go back in heartbeat.

I would be interested in other people's reactions.

We are there most Friday nights, and we all wear our dis pins, and usually are the loudest group..

and usually His royal peachident is is there too, and would be soooo insulted if no one recognized his pin....

If it was this past Fri... pls let me know....there was a lot of other stuff going on, and if you were there
I will private e mail you Pls come back and let us try again..

I was at the Contemporary Meet in April ( new management) and earlier in November ( pre-official involvement). The November meet seemed more friendly, but the April meet had better organized space ( more tables for pin books). I was disappointed with a CM pin I traded from a CM. When I got the pin home and out of the package, I discovered that the pin back was broken off (inside the rubber Mickey head back). I was told the pin was new, recently purchased from the Company D store. It is a large white dangle pin with the Fab 4 painting the "100", with Pluto's paw prints on the back ( a cute idea). I was disappointed with receivng a broken pin from an off duty CM, but of course she might not have known the pin was broken.
What can be done about a pin back that is broken off? Will super glue do the trick ?

I had a pin like that and called Disney and after I sent them the broken pin, they mailed back a replacement.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Does anyone have a Disney number that I could call to ask about returning a broken pin?
Thanks!
Penny

I hav exchanged broken, newly purchased pins from WDW and DL. But I haven't heard of exchanging for a pin rec'd in a trade.
