OK maybe it was the rain, that kept some folks away, maybe it was the fact that I had been up since 3am and was pretty much running on fumes, maybe it was the other things that were going on in the hotel that night but . . . . . that was the least fun pin meet I've ever attended.
I had been to one prior pin meet at the Contemporary back in November. That one was small enough that I felt welcomed and not intimidated. I was looking forward to the same experience this trip. Sad to say it was a completely different story. I did trade with several people but most of them were first timers to the meet. I had to ask everyone there names. No one seemed to recognize my DIS, seal of peachident or Dizneypins pin. I felt like a stranger in a strange land and I felt intimidated (not a feeling I am used to).
On a brighter note, my daughter had a wonderful time in the kids section and would go back in heartbeat.
I would be interested in other people's reactions.
