I was hoping from the name it would have a longer version of Grizzly River Rapids (or whatever the official name is) From DCA. I really enjoy those raft rides.

Thats the thing the rumor I heard was exactly what you are talking about but with the GG AA's and story line.

No Gg is set in the mountains and the only thing it has in common with BTM is the mine.

The path along Grizzly Trail offers high-spirited frontier fun in an abandoned mining town called Grizzly Gulch, set amidst mountains and woods. The town was founded August 8, 1888 – the luckiest day of the luckiest month of the luckiest year – by prospectors looking to discover gold. Bears have now started causing havoc at the Big Grizzly Mountain Mining Company.

Key Technology and Creative Elements:
Guests visiting Grizzly Gulch are part of the action, experiencing hands-on water features, massive geysers and various leaking structures in the abandoned town.
Life-size Audio-Animatronic® bears set the story in motion on Big Grizzly Mountain Coaster, an adventure aboard a runaway mine train through town. Guests careen backward down an incline that propels them through twists and turns, before a launch sequence “blasts” the mine train out of the mountain.
A Wild West stagecoach, an old time Jail House, and the world’s largest nugget of gold provide fun photo opportunities.

Granted...i just got back from WDW and i might be outta the loop...but...

Is this thread not labeled "old news and wishful thinking" for a reason?

Cause NOTHING is happening other than a grand floridian DVC for the next 5 years...and its pretty obvious if you look at it without colored glasses.

I just heard constant announcements on computerized recordings about "new" everest...and "new" soarin and "new" bibbidi bobbiti boutiques...

They even still run the everest tv spots on the local cable....

I don't know about you but that means that any speculation on expansion is complete fantasy.

They will complete the fantasyland...beat it into oblivion for 5 plus years and MAYBE get a "augment" ala star tours and haunted mansion or perhaps one new pixar based "something"

That's it, folks....if you can't see the writing on the wall from the first five years of Iger-rama...then you sure as hell better look at both the national and global economy and understand that travel reinvestment is a long way off...

That's the way it is...there will be a focus on outsourcing, cost cutting, and guaranteeing future revenues...nothing else is on the docket.

New rides are the farthest thing from their minds.

and to be clear: i had what might have been the best trip we've had in years...but i'm even more convinced that this is the truth.

The fact is that the consumers demand nothing, reward disney for providing nothing...and that is a model of increasing profits.
