A Tip for better photos (hiding kid club arm bands)

Just something that came to me AFTER I got home and sorted through all of my photos. See link to my photo album here: http://picasaweb.google.com/trojales/DisneyMagicCruiseToWesternCaribbean

In all of my formal photos I have the ugly white arm bands (required by the kid clubs) showing on the kids. It kind of ruins the picture a little bit. It is a bummer because I will have to go back and Photoshop them out.

I have 2 kids and they almost ALWAYS go to the same side, DS on the right, DD on the left. I should have had my DS's armband put on his left arm, and DD's armband on her right arm. Then the arm bands would be hidden behind the characters or the adults in the photos!

Just a lesson learned from my first DC, take it or leave it!

I've heard you can cut them off totally and they'll put on new ones the next time you check your child into the club. Not sure how accurate that is.

How funny that I never even thought to do that!! Once they put that arm band on at the port, it didn't come off until we got all the way home! Next time I go I will definitely have to ask about cutting them off and getting new ones. Although I am sure that it will slow down the check-in process a tiny bit.

Oh my gosh, your kids are unbearably cute. How can you resist constantly pinching their cheeks?

Do you have any advice about excursions with small kids? Ours will be pushing 4 and 6 when we go on the Western.

Thank you for your sweet comment! :)

I am working on my trip report at the following post which describes our excursions:

Definitely order Uncrustables from room service if your kids like PB&J and take them on excursions. I was a bit worried how my kids would do, but they had a blast both on the snorkeling/stingray city tour in Grand Cayman and Chankanaab park in Cozumel. They were too tired to walk around afterwards at both stops, so we didn't get to browse the shops. I didn't mind that at all. If anything, it kept me from buying things I didn't really need or want. On a different cruise the kids enjoyed the glass bottom boat ride in Key West.

Have fun!!

Thanks for the tips ;) I'll make sure to read your trip report to get all the details.

Great Pics! You have a beautiful family. I just looked at my portriats and I must of gotten lucky cuz both my boys had their hand with the wristband in their pocket so you can see it. Maybe the photographer told them to do it I don't remember. Thanks for the tip though I would not have thought of that.:thumbsup2
