What? You leave us with a bum leg and not knowing what is wrong????
Sorry, I know I am knew here but after reading I feel like I have known you forever. Plus you are an Okie!
I don't really know what happened - it just popped. I just know it was all Jill's fault. Her weaving in and out and evasive maneuvering around everything and everybody crippled me for the rest of the trip.
Maybe it was a plan, so I couldn't keep up with them.
k_reile, Caleb is beautiful! He looks cute getting his "suntan." Can't wait to see his one month pictures!
Isn't he, though? By the time I typed this, I saw the new pictures. They're great!
The safari pictures are AWESOME!!!! I love the elephant! I can't believe the lion was up moving around!!!
Stay warm and TRY to enjoy your work!

I enjoyed my first day back at school, although I had a hard time leaving my little ones today!
It was cool to see him up and pacing.
I'm glad your first day went well. It'll be hard on cold winter mornings, though, to get up and get them going. Do you take them to daycare or grandmother's or what?
Great Safari pics MeMom. You always seem to get great pics of that animontronic lion.
I think you have inspired me to go back and update our report.
Well, I'm glad I inspired you, if you're talking about the Pirates and Spectro ones I saw.
K Reile, Caleb is so sweet. I can't wait to see the one month pic. I bet he has changed a lot. Babies grow so fast.
Great safari photos MeMom!
The elephant photo is great!
The lion pics are great. I have never seen them awake.
I haven't seen the Tigers in the Asia area moving around either.
I'll keep hoping to see them some day.
I've seen the tigers roaming several times. They are amazingly beautiful animals.
What a cute little boy!!!!
Yes that is a beautiful baby. While reading through all these pages I was hoping to see a picture of him.
It's unanimous,
k! He's a keeper!!!
AWESOME lion pics!!!!! i wish we could catch a ride on the last safari next trip but unfortunately we'll probably leave AK right after the parade as we want to go by WL before we go to
MVMCP.
i hope your leg wasn't too sore after that hike across AK!
i had to mention this to you. we were on our way home last night and talking about our upcoming disney trip and anna used the term, "MK" and was very proud of herself for doing so.

then i said, "well, we'll go to the WL, then to MK for MVMCP and ride POTC and HM!" she just looked at me, stunned!

then she said, "um.....i got MK and HM, but nothing else. what was MVM.....oh, mickeys very merry christmas party!!!!!!!"

she was so excited she knew that!
and my day got worse yesterday, by the way. i got home and my computer crashed. thank goodness ray is a computer expert extraordinare because he was able to save most everything from my hard drive. he's reformatting it now, so i'll have to put all my software back on there. fun!
Yeah, I read what you said about your computer. I bet you were in a panic until Ray got it going again!
I'm glad the gang is learning the lingo. Trent makes fun of us when we start using abbreviations. He rolls his eyes and tells us we're in a cult.
I will tell you that he uses the cult's knowledge to his advantage on the trips, however.
I don't think I have ever seen that lion up and moving! That's so cool.
As for the Minnie Mouse costume pictures

I will scan and post a picture if I can find one. I really want to find a pictures, because that's the first Halloween costume that I can remember. My grandmother might have one, because I can remember standing in her living room, waiting for the special bags that she prepared (and still prepares) for her grandkids.
Grandmothers are so special.
BTW, how is Drew doing? (For some reason, it crossed my mind to ask during my class tonight...then I forgot a few seconds later.) I just remembered now because I looked over at the kitchen counter and noticed the Mickey head colander that my mom bought for like $5 when we were down there in April. Not sure how that reminded me to ask, but, there you go. That's how my mind works.
I'll look forward to the pictures.
I hope my grandkids will all feel good about me, too.
Drew is moving his arm better. He still cannot hear, but we'll see what happens down the road. Maybe you were thinking if Drew had at least been wearing the colander on his head, he would be in better shape now!
By the way, did I mention that his bill was over
$19,000. A $5 colander or a $25 helmet is sounding like a smart option.
Those pictures of the lion at AK are amazing! They remind me of a real life version of Mufasa from the Lion King.
Or Aslan in Narnia. I thought that was a cool movie.
The trunk or treat pictures are so good!! Brooklyn was such a cute tinkerbell!!
Thanks. She had a good time.
Hi,
I will come back here tomorrow to catch up. I have no idea where I left off so I need to refresh my memory.
Hope all is well.
What you really wanted to say was, "I couldn't keep up with the TR because I was too busy having fun down there in Disney World!!!"
Oh my goodness!! this made me
What a great picture!!
It's cool here in Iowa too. We got our first hard freeze overnight. My brother who lives a little north of us reported seeing the first snowfall for a few brief minutes on Sunday night. Luckily they are saying temps will be back up into the 60's later this week so hopefully it won't be so frigid for trick-or-treating.
Oh my goodness!! I have the news on right now and they just reported that gas prices in Des Moines dropped overnight to $1.99/gal

Too bad I don't live there!
k_reile, Caleb is certainly a doll. Both my boys spent time in the billibeds so seeing those pics brought back memories of my little newborns. They grow so fast! Enjoy this time together! Can't wait to see him at 1 month. It's hard to believe he is that old already!
I heard there were snowflakes in Knoxville this morning.
I'd love to see $1.99 gas!
Isn't Caleb a little doll?
Loved the update---was your knee okay???? I have a bum knee from a sports injury from high school, so I can completely relate to that unfortunate "pop!"
One time when we were on the safari---the lion was pacing and started grumblings of a roar.....it was so cool because you could hear him "purr" and then he was starting to work up to his roar---never heard that, but that was neat!!!!
k_reile: Caleb is such a cutie!!!! Thanks for the picture! My DD Megan was born 2 and a half months early, and lived in an isolette for several weeks when she first arrived---I have a very similar picture of her on her back with the resistance form wrapped around her. She also had her hands behind her head and her feet crossed and propped up on the form. It looks like she is just laying out--getting a tan!!! She had these thick foam purple eye protectors wrapped around her head too, and the nurses had drawn sleeping eyelashes on them because she has such long eyelashes.....that only helped to complete the look!!!!
I would love to hear him roar! That would be the best!!!
I'm glad all these little babies grew up, and are growing up, to be healthy, happy kids!
I know how you feel about the knee! I'm not sure if mine popped at Universal, but I couldn't move afterwards so im not really sure what happened. Glad you made it to the safari and that lion picture is awesome!
I did make it. I could move, but it was painful. I'd pretty much have to be in a body cast, though, to get slowed down in Disney World.
Hi MeMom,
We will be arriving at WDW on that Saturday and will spend Saturday late afternoon-evening (ADR at Le Cellier at 6:20pm) in Epcot and then plan to spend Sunday in MK, maybe we will see eachother. If so, I will be sure to say "Hi"
We're actually meeting near there sometime in the afternoon or evening. I'll check with
SwansLoveDisney and
snowbell and see what time a little closer to the day. If you'll PM me your number, I can give you a call, and if it's convenient, you can meet up with us. If not, maybe we'll swing by LeCellier a few minutes after 6, before you go in to eat.
Love your lion pictures! What kind of zoom do you have on your camera?
It's just the Canon with no special lens, but I was happy with the pictures I got. I do see some unbelievably clear pictures some of these guys take over on the Picture of the Day thread. My pictures are totally inadequate compared to theirs.
ok all caught up.
your pics amaze me, they r gorgeous.
I went to Ft. Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge on my last trip, both are very nice.
i saw all resorts except Shades of Green and the All-Stars.
Looking forwar dto reading and seeing more.
I'm glad you got to go resort hopping. Aren't they all so neat? I love the unique themes at each one. I cannot wait to see Wilderness Lodge Christmas decorations in four weeks! We've stayed at all the All-Stars, but have neve seen Shades of Green. I'm not sure if we're really even allowed to go over there. I think they have different rules about just anybody visiting there.
Caleb had his one month appointment yesterday. He now weighs 11lbs 10 oz and is 23 inches long. Dr thinks he will be rolling over in a couple of weeks as he already rolls to his side if on his back and to his stomach if he is on his side. Said most babies roll over around 4 mos...and I read if babies develop their motor skills early that they could be athletic which would make Daddy very happy.
Trent was early at everything physical, and he has always been a natural athlete - many awards in basketball and soccer, and the football coach was always after him to play for them.
(The basketball coach didn't want him playing football, though.) He was even chosen as Most Athletic his senior year. If Caleb is into sports in a big way, you've got a very busy, fun, and expensive ride ahead of you. Equipment and camps and summer league and .... Well, you'll find out soon enough. It's great, and I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything, but you really have to commit a lot, lot, lot of time over many years. There's also a ton of pressure to perform under harsh conditions sometimes. It's a great honor and privilege, but it's also a heavy load to carry sometimes.
For now, we'll just enjoy him being a sweet little cuddle-bunny.
Maybe you shouldn't tell his daddy I called him that.
He is such a little cutie.
I agree, and he makes an exceptionally cute little puppy dog, too!
Wow MeMom! Those are great pics from the safari! Maybe I missed it, but around what time was it when you rode? All of the animals seem to be lying down when I go!
We've had good luck with the latest safaris.
Just makes you want to have a bunch of little baby boys, doesn't it?
Of course, we have to keep in mind that they grow up to be food-guzzling big boys!
Caleb is so cute! I'm impressed he is rolling side to side, Owen 3.5 months has very little interest in doing so. He's going to be like his big sister and sit up before he rolls!
I bet his big sister adores him, doesn't she? Jill used to read to Trent and Drew all the time when they were babies. She'd sit with them in the playpen and read to them, and they'd just watch her every move.
K- You could be right about what you said in developing motor skills early. My son walked at 8 1/2 months and plays football, basketball, baseball and runs track! He's 15 and 6'4. He was just as cute as your little fella
When they're little, you carry them around, and then they get big and wanna pick you up and toss you around. Well, at least that's what mine think is funny. One day, my weight is going to break one of their backs, so they need to stop being so silly!
