Caleb at birth

Caleb suntanning (under the blue lights to get rid of jaundice) looks like he is sitting on the beach....all he is missing is a drink in his hand!

I'll post later to show Caleb at one month. Do not have those pics uploaded yet!

k_reile - congratulations! Your baby is adorable! It makes me happy to see him looking so comfortable under the lights. We thought that DD was going to have to do that when she was born and we had never seen the machine and didn't know what to expect. But Caleb looks like he's just chillin'! :goodvibes

Aw those "Trunk or Treat" pictures were great! I love the Mickey & Goofy. :lovestruc Little Miss Tinkerbell is pretty cute herself.

That Trunk or Treat thing is a great idea for the little ones. Glad they seemed to have so much fun. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Cathy

Ahhh, all the little ones are so cute in their Halloween costumes!

Your set-up was fabulous -- love the Mickey flag!

Thanks all! We had a good time, and all of the kiddies were sweet. Parker wasn't at all sure about that big Goofy head, though. He kept looking up at it. Sloan said he was hilarious in the car seat, because his costume was so round, it made him stick out and he couldn't lay his head back! :rotfl:

Hi MeMom & Brooklynn'sMom. I discovered your trippies this past week and have spent much time reading them. I read this one first then went back to read the original. I'm not quite finished with it yet.

I wanted to say you have one beautiful granddaughter...

I saw something in one post that made me think you were born in Oklahoma? Did I understand that right? Funny thing is my kids & I want to move to SE Tennessee from Oklahoma.

Anyway your pictures really do a great job of making me feel like I am right there at WDW. Thank you for that.

I was an Air Force brat, and we were in OK at the time, so yep, I'm an Okie.

I'm glad you're enjoying the report.

The hayride warning is always a good one. We've had some of the same tragedies around here, and it's always so sad when what was meant to be a good time goes so wrong.

Aww, the kiddos looked adorable in their costumes!

The decorate your own cookie station was a great idea. I bet the kids just loved that!

They loved the cookie decorating. Some were meticulous about the placement of their sprinkles and candy corn, etc., and others piled on as many M&M's and gummy worms as they could possibly get to stay!

Aww...Brooklynn looks so cute as Tink! Looks like you had a great time at Trunk and Treat! We go on Friday...I can't wait! (I'm as excited as the kids!)

Have fun, and come back and share a picture, if you will.

All the kids are SO cute in their costumes...especially Brooklynn!

It was such a great idea to do the decorate your own cookie. Sounds delicious!

What a fun way to celebrate Halloween!

It was fun, and one day you'll be wrapping up your little one to go out into the Chicago cold and trick-or-treat. It's fun to watch them watch the other kids, too, because they're wondering why in the world the people they usually see looking normal are so abnormally dressed and strange looking!

Aww! Brooklyn is cute (and so big, what a difference from her Alice pictures a year ago)

That's for sure! Last year she had a little sprig or two of brown hair, and now it is long and blonde. Trent's hair was exactly like hers is now until he was a pretty big boy. She is also accident prone like Trent, so Jill is fearful for what her future holds. :)

Such cute pictures! All the kids look adorable. :goodvibes

We were all reminiscing about when all of ours were that age, too. I may have to go and break out the box of pictures and remind them of how cute they were!

Looks like the kids had a great time. Our church does trunk or treat too.

I hope you are going to go...and bring back a picture for us!

MeMom,
Your trunk looked great. We are having our Trunk-or-Treat/Hayride at church this Friday. I can't wait to see all the little ones. Now I know why my Mama used to get so excited when we were little. To see the look on the little ones faces and to have those memories are priceless. When we were at Disney on Ice the other night, there was a little girl sitting beside me. When Tinkerbell realized what kind of fairy she was( I don't want to give too much away for those who will be seeing it) the little girl whispered with amazement," Wow, it's magic." The tears just started rolling down my face. She made it easier for me to sit through that part of the show.

Oh yeah, we definitely had more fun than the kids did!

I'm glad you got to Disney on Ice. That's very sweet about the little girl! I just love little kids and the sweet things they say!

That trunk-or-treat event is SUCH a good idea, and your trunk was great.

I love the picture of Brooklynn and Carson eyeing the goodies! All the kids look adorable. :goodvibes Also love Brooklynn's Tinkerbell costume; I think that's the kind of thing I would have gone for when I was young. I was Minnie Mouse one year (I might have been five), complete with the cheap plastic mask. :rotfl: Looking back, it was kind of strange looking, but I really liked it.

Picture, please?????

Woo Hoo! I finally finished reading both reports. Thank you for all the wonderful pictures. I really felt like I was right there in WDW.

One thing I wanted to mention is that you can get food to go at Pepper Market and you don't have to pay that 10% fee. Just in case you ever want to go back to CSR to eat even though that cm was so terribly mean to Jill.

I can't wait to read about you next adventure and see how much more Brooklynn has grown. What a beautiful little girl!

I forgave CSR enough to go back and take pictures around the grounds this summer. Jill was a bit less forgiving.
Maybe next summer.

Naah, not really. She knows it was just one not so tactful CM. She kids about being 'traumatized', but she'll go back again someday.

I didn't know you didn't have to pay the extra if you got it to go. That's interesting.

I love all the trunk or treat photos. The little ones look adorable in their costumes. We get lots of trick or treaters in our neighborhood, and I love seeing their costumes!

Brooklynn looks so cute as tinkerbelle! :goodvibes
What a great expression when she is "eyeing the goodies"

The cookie decorating is a great idea.

Our elementary school has a fall festival, and one of the activities is to decorate graham crackers. Its always a big hit.

Peter Pan on Ice sounds great. I wish it were coming here.
The next one to our area is in Dec 26-30. Its called 100 Years of Magic.
Tickets haven't gone on sale yet. And I'm not sure what our holiday plans are. :confused3 I'm hoping maybe we can go to it.

I want to see 100 Years of Magic, but it wasn't coming near us. That would be a fun Christmas vacation activity for the family!

Awww, I love the dinosaur pictures!!!!!!!! So cute of you MeMom even though your covering your face!!:lmao:

I was glad it was fuzzy. You should see the close-up. You can't really tell in the distance, but the bangs are sticking straight up!

Love all the Trunk or Treat pics!!! SO sweet!!! Your set-up was fabulous---I hope you won some type of prize!!!! Our church had their trunk or treat yesterday, but we had to miss it because we had already planned to go hiking down at Natural Bridge State Park. That was a great deal of fun--nice 2 hour drive down there too--but we always enjoy trunk or treat too.......we will have to make sure we don't miss it next year!

I'm sure the park was beautiful!

No prizes - just lots of fun!

ok...think i got this figured out.

I'll post later to show Caleb at one month. Do not have those pics uploaded yet!

Well, you did a good job! He's a handsome little fella. I look forward to seeing his one month picture. I know he has your heart completely captured! Thank you so much for sharing those sweet pictures with us.

k_reile - Adorable pics of your sweet baby boy!

Thanks for sharing them!

Can't wait to see the one month pics!

Me, too!

k_reile - congratulations! Your baby is adorable! It makes me happy to see him looking so comfortable under the lights. We thought that DD was going to have to do that when she was born and we had never seen the machine and didn't know what to expect. But Caleb looks like he's just chillin'! :goodvibes

He does look like he's taking it all in stride, and he looks like a very healthy little boy, too. I bet his one month pictures will show him happy and alert. Now that she's got the photobucket stuff down, we might get a sweet picture every so often.

******************************************

After Dinosaur, Jill decided we should book it over and catch a late safari before it closed. So, as soon as we got off, she started weaving through people, pushing Brooklynn in the stroller, John right behind her, and me a 'buncha' steps back trying to keep up as much as I could with an already lame leg.

Having no regard for my lame leg, a very skinny two-good-legged Jill kept looking back over her shoulders saying, "Hurry, MeMom, evasive maneuvers, evasive maneuvers!"

I punched my walking into overdrive at some point during the long journey from Dinosaur to Kilimanjaro, and when I did, my knee popped.
I heard it, and I felt it.
I said, "Owwww!"...to myself.
I don't say anything like that out loud.
Somebody might look.
Like they did when I fell at Hollywood Studios.
And I didn't even say 'ow' then.

I hobbled along, keeping Jill in my sight, but telling them to go on to the jeep if I didn't make it in time. I didn't want them to miss out on a safari, and especially a late one, because we've had good luck with those.

We all did make it - the fast girl, the baby, the tag-along-er, and the hobbling lady.

This is what we saw.

Awake and moving.

Here he is.

He was pacing, and it was pretty cool!

Isn't this pretty?

And also with that, I bid you all a good evening. It is cool here in Tennessee. At the Titans game tonight, it's going to be in the low 40's. I got it straight from the weatherman's mouth at school today when he came to see his wife.

I, however, will be in my warm home washing dishes, grading a Math test, filling out a behavior journal on a student for a psychologist, and probably watching Little People, Big World, maybe Jon & Kate Plus 8 (I don't know, though, because they've been getting the big head lately), and whatever the 'big family of the night' is.

Stay warm and safe everyone.

What? You leave us with a bum leg and not knowing what is wrong????

Sorry, I know I am knew here but after reading I feel like I have known you forever. Plus you are an Okie!

k_reile, Caleb is beautiful! He looks cute getting his "suntan." Can't wait to see his one month pictures!

The safari pictures are AWESOME!!!! I love the elephant! I can't believe the lion was up moving around!!!

Stay warm and TRY to enjoy your work! I enjoyed my first day back at school, although I had a hard time leaving my little ones today!

Great Safari pics MeMom. You always seem to get great pics of that animontronic lion.

I think you have inspired me to go back and update our report.

K Reile, Caleb is so sweet. I can't wait to see the one month pic. I bet he has changed a lot. Babies grow so fast.

Great safari photos MeMom!
The elephant photo is great!
The lion pics are great. I have never seen them awake.
I haven't seen the Tigers in the Asia area moving around either.
I'll keep hoping to see them some day.

Yes that is a beautiful baby. While reading through all these pages I was hoping to see a picture of him.

AWESOME lion pics!!!!! i wish we could catch a ride on the last safari next trip but unfortunately we'll probably leave AK right after the parade as we want to go by WL before we go to MVMCP.

i hope your leg wasn't too sore after that hike across AK!

i had to mention this to you. we were on our way home last night and talking about our upcoming disney trip and anna used the term, "MK" and was very proud of herself for doing so. then i said, "well, we'll go to the WL, then to MK for MVMCP and ride POTC and HM!" she just looked at me, stunned! :lmao: then she said, "um.....i got MK and HM, but nothing else. what was MVM.....oh, mickeys very merry christmas party!!!!!!!" she was so excited she knew that!

and my day got worse yesterday, by the way. i got home and my computer crashed. thank goodness ray is a computer expert extraordinare because he was able to save most everything from my hard drive. he's reformatting it now, so i'll have to put all my software back on there. fun!

I don't think I have ever seen that lion up and moving! That's so cool.

As for the Minnie Mouse costume pictures :rotfl: I will scan and post a picture if I can find one. I really want to find a pictures, because that's the first Halloween costume that I can remember. My grandmother might have one, because I can remember standing in her living room, waiting for the special bags that she prepared (and still prepares) for her grandkids. Grandmothers are so special. ;)

BTW, how is Drew doing? (For some reason, it crossed my mind to ask during my class tonight...then I forgot a few seconds later.) I just remembered now because I looked over at the kitchen counter and noticed the Mickey head colander that my mom bought for like $5 when we were down there in April. Not sure how that reminded me to ask, but, there you go. That's how my mind works. :)

Those pictures of the lion at AK are amazing! They remind me of a real life version of Mufasa from the Lion King. :lmao:

The trunk or treat pictures are so good!! Brooklyn was such a cute tinkerbell!!

Hi,
I will come back here tomorrow to catch up. I have no idea where I left off so I need to refresh my memory.

Hope all is well.

Here he is.

He was pacing, and it was pretty cool!

IMG_2404.jpg

And also with that, I bid you all a good evening. It is cool here in Tennessee.

Oh my goodness!! this made me :scared1:
What a great picture!!

It's cool here in Iowa too. We got our first hard freeze overnight. My brother who lives a little north of us reported seeing the first snowfall for a few brief minutes on Sunday night. Luckily they are saying temps will be back up into the 60's later this week so hopefully it won't be so frigid for trick-or-treating.

Oh my goodness!! I have the news on right now and they just reported that gas prices in Des Moines dropped overnight to $1.99/gal :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Too bad I don't live there!

k_reile, Caleb is certainly a doll. Both my boys spent time in the billibeds so seeing those pics brought back memories of my little newborns. They grow so fast! Enjoy this time together! Can't wait to see him at 1 month. It's hard to believe he is that old already!

Punkin, this is for Ray :worship: . I am pretty literate with a computer that is working properly but as soon as it starts acting funny, I am lost! Kiss that good man of yours.

Loved the update---was your knee okay???? I have a bum knee from a sports injury from high school, so I can completely relate to that unfortunate "pop!"

One time when we were on the safari---the lion was pacing and started grumblings of a roar.....it was so cool because you could hear him "purr" and then he was starting to work up to his roar---never heard that, but that was neat!!!!

k_reile: Caleb is such a cutie!!!! Thanks for the picture! My DD Megan was born 2 and a half months early, and lived in an isolette for several weeks when she first arrived---I have a very similar picture of her on her back with the resistance form wrapped around her. She also had her hands behind her head and her feet crossed and propped up on the form. It looks like she is just laying out--getting a tan!!! She had these thick foam purple eye protectors wrapped around her head too, and the nurses had drawn sleeping eyelashes on them because she has such long eyelashes.....that only helped to complete the look!!!!

I know how you feel about the knee! I'm not sure if mine popped at Universal, but I couldn't move afterwards so im not really sure what happened. Glad you made it to the safari and that lion picture is awesome!
