On a side note:
Have you guys been seeing Nashville on the news? We have a gas crisis here with 85% of our stations out of gas at any given time. Most stations are empty with bags over all the nozzles, and if you're lucky enough to find one with gas, you have to wait in a line that is backed down the road. Gas station workers were out directing traffic last night when we went to fill up. It's supposed to ease up by the end of the week, but for now, it's not good. There are many people running out of gas, can't make it to work, etc.
Our two closest stations were out. When I called last night to see if they were running again, one said not until Monday and the other said, yes, they were open. Trent and I got in the cars right away and went and got in the massive lines. Drew was coming in as I was pulling out, and he asked where we were going. I told him we were headed to Shell to get gas, and he said, "Good luck with that. They're all the way down the road."
Luckily, everyone was being kind and patient. We were just all wedged in as tight as we could be with windows open, and everyone was having pleasant conversations, so that was good. There have been some bad situations in Nashville where people started arguing and even fighting because they were getting 'skipped', frustrated, etc.
Trent said the Nashville gas story was on CNN last night.
my dad called me yesterday morning. he picks up cable boxes from people with overdue bills sometimes on the weekends for extra money, so he was out doing that and he was getting low on gas while he was on the phone with me and he was saying that stations that had gas had lines that were so long. i don't know if he ever got gas or not. that's crazy. i just went to fill up after i got my groceries for the week. i usually get my gas at kroger because it's 10 cents cheaper with my kroger card but they were out. so i went up the road and about half the pumps there were out. i luckily got one that wasn't out. it was $3.97/gallon, so that's not good but not unheard of either. i guess it's spreading down here!!!
by the way, i bought tickets today for disney on ice!!!!
it's on october 25th and me, anna, chris and luke are going. i couldn't talk ray into it. i try not to force him to do things i know he won't enjoy. it would be different if we were taking our own child, but i know he'd be miserable if i made him go with me for no other reason than just to be difficult! thanks for the photos you posted - they made me decide to buy tickets! we got $30 tickets. we're on the floor in the middle so it should be a decent view, although we're in row NN and that may be a little far back. i wanted $35 tickets but those were sold out. the next level was $50 and anna didn't want to pay that since she had to buy 3 tickets. i can't wait!!!

Some people were downright disgruntled. I was sitting outside on my break the day before the promotion ended and every car was playing elephant tails with the car in front of them, because they thought that cars trying to get to the other side of the parking lot were going to cut them in line. I heard one guy yell to another who was trying to pass through, "NOT GETTING IN FRONT OF ME, BUDDY! I'VE BEEN WAITING MY TURN, IT'S TIME TO WAIT YOUR'S!"...and the other person was not even going for gas, they were going to the other end of the parking lot.
So they had to go all the way down and around the line of cars. I'm sure that other guy felt kind of silly.

Isn't it fun making new friends, even if you've never met them in person?
You are just the sweetest, kindness woman. Thank you so much for your prayers and your offer to help with the tears. I will be sure to visit DISboards that night.
